I wore this shirt a couple times and washed once, and then noticed that it is not really seen well at the seams and has a hole. On a positive note, the material is a good weight, soft, and warm. I am 5'5", 115# and purchased the Tall Small to have some extra length. I am happy with the length, fit is roomy enough to wear over a hoodie. Just disappointed that the construction is sloppy.

The color wasn't as depicted in online pictures. To return the item cost me over $10! Not happy.

I have been shopping at LLBean for over 40 years. Over the past handful of years I've watched the quality of so many women's items diminish. Shirts are cut narrower and shorter than the exact sizes of the same items from just a season or two ago. I sent this shirt back as it was too small - even in an XL. My usual size is M-L. I do appreciate your return policy as I've sent back many more items than I've been able to keep - especially this past year. I know it's way too much to hope that a good thing stays good. Bean is no longer my go to for basics. Sad.

I love the look and feel of these shirts, however, they shrunk and pilled after 1st wash. I will be sending these back, not sure if I should exchange for larger or shop elsewhere. With the pilling, they now look old.

I'm so frustrated! I'm a frequent Bean shopper and have to return shirts I bought for me & Christmas gifts for a relative because of sizing. Womens Xl tall is the size of many shirts I have but the three I just bought are tight in the shoulders and too short in the sleeve. The mens tall large I bought as gifts have the same problems while others he has are exactly the same size and fit beautifully. The fabric is fine and I just hope there's no problem in returning, like no money back just store credit.

This is a good looking shirt - from a distance. It started pilling after the first time I washed it, even though I turned it inside out when I washed it and followed the washing instructions. I'm very disappointed. Several years ago I ordered a flannel shirt from LL. Bean and it was made of a much higher quality cotton than this one. In fact, I still have the old one and it has held up really well. It actually looks nicer than the one I recently purchased.

This shirt was not what I expected. I wanted an easy care flannel comfortable shirt. The care instructions say you must hand wash or wash in cold water, hang to dry and do not iron or dry clean. Never had a flannel Like this. I ignored the do not iron because hanging it to dry made it look to wrinkly. It's expensive and I Would not buy it again

I bought one of these flannel shirts 4 years ago, and love it, wanted another. Didn't realize they're "relaxed" now, as the one I have is tailored in at the waist, which I love. No matter though, as the fabric is not nearly as attractive as the same pattern I bought before, the shirt is way too big and sleeves too long, even though I used the measurement chart on the website. I'm disappointed!

I'm only 5'9" and ordered the prince charles Edward in medium tall. The sleeve length was above my wrist when straight. I don't know what's going on because I have previously worn this style (same size but in Black Watch) and there was sleeve length to spare. Overall there seems to be quality control issues, as I had to return the black watch because it pilled in less than a year, the "black and white" scotch plaid turned out to be black and ivory, and now this one had fit issues. Too bad because I love how thick the flannel is.

very thin material compared to other flannels I've purchased from LL Bean in the past. Quality is definitely less than before. It was also way too large

I've bought many Bean flannel shirts in the last 40 years and still wear those of My parents and grandparents but the flannel fabric is not the same in recent years. With age and washing the newer ones feel rough and harsh to the touch, and become increasingly so, not soft. Color, fit, durability all good still.

I love the colors/designs and fit but my two shirts pilled after the first wash and dry. Quite disappointed.

Not the quality one expects from an LLBean flannel shirt. The material is flimsy and pilling after two washes.

The shirt I received this year is of a poorer quality than a few years go. Material has pilled and feels flimsy after two washes.

I initially ordered this flannel in a 2x. When it came, it was so large it felt like a pajama. It easily had 8-10 extra inches of width until I washed and dried it at high heats which shrunk it to a more acceptably loose but still sloppy wear. So I then ordered two other colors in a size 1x. One of those fit perfectly out of the box and the other was so small it was tight across my chest and the buttons gaped open. The buttons are too far apart on all of them, perhaps in an effort to save money on production. The quality of the fabric is nice, thick and soft. The pattern does not match up on the sides however. I wouldn't risk ordering another at this cost with the inconsistencies in sizing.

I have purchased many flannel and chamois shirts from LLBEAN over the last 40 years. I have ordered the same size for the last 25 years. The fit has changed. It now is tighter across the bust. Will pull and even gap a bit. I can wear my old shirts and this doesn't happen. The fit has changed. I do not like it. Will need to rethink my willingness to purchase these shirts in the future.

I have been wearing LL Bean's flannel for decades. LL Bean's flannel used to be gorgeous: double-brushed and substantial without being bulky. The quality of this shirt has really taken a nosedive. The flannel is insubstantial and the hem curls up, which is a pet peeve of mine. It shouldn't do that. Also, the shirt shrunk like crazy, although I washed in cool and dried on low. Fortunately, before I washed it the the size small was probably a medium, so it still fits - - but barely. The only reason that I didn't return this shirt is that I don't know where to find quality flannel anymore.

The catalog picture showed this as the primary coloring a medium gray. The actual shirt is overwhelmingly red, with some dark gray hidden in the plaid. I returned it.

I own 6 Scotch Plaid Relax fit shirts, which were bought at different times. I decided to treat myself to a new one this year. I was so disappointed to to see that the sizing has changed and the quality is not there. The new shirt is noticeably smaller when compared to an older one. The flannel is a lighter weight and has a odd smell. I'm thankful to have 6 wonderful shirts, but I guess that's the end of the line for these, this one is going back..
