I purchased this flannel shirt size medium, color: MacRae Hunting Modern in the store on October 17, 2024, it fit nice in the store with room to spare, and looked nice on.
The washing instructions are: machine wash in cold water and dry on low heat or line dry. First time washed on 10/19/2024 in cold water and machine dried on low heat (I always wash new clothes before I wear them) was not good = unfortunately it shrunk and is now tight in the arms, across the bust, back and sleeves are a little shorter so I suggest buying the next size up or avoid machine drying.

I wish that flannel shirts were still made with princess seams. That fir is so much more complimentary,

I have loved LL Bean in the past, but their quality is NOT what it once was and the prices MORE! They have cut a lot of corners, thin flannel, no side pockets, and the much-loved flex flannels are only for men now, nothing for women-seriously!?! Great colors though.

The Scotch Plaid Flannel is very soft and roomy. Slight shrinkage with washing and drying. The only negative is that the material pilled up after only ONE washing. Such a shame because it looked really nice out of the package. Too bad... it is now a yard work shirt. Won't purchase again. PLEASE bring back the organic cotton flannels. They held up VERY well to washing.

I have many of Bean flannel shirts so I ordered my usual size. Unfortunately, this year the sizing seemed way off with long sleeves and overall length for being a petite size. I returned and didn't bother reordering as the pattern looked better in the catalog than on me. I wish a few more feminine options were offered such as softer colors or smaller, less bold plaids. I live in an urban setting and don't always want to look like I'm about to set out on a hike in the country.

The fabric colors are marvelous, and the quality is obviously LL Bean 'made to last." My problem with the shirt is that it is a "relaxed fit." I didn't realize that it would be much larger around than I like, so I am giving it a 3. I am keeping it because I can wear it open and I love the unique combination of yellow, purple, black and red etc. I've never seen that plaid before.

This shirt came in Dark Indigo, but I much prefer the color Black Watch. I hoped the fabric was lighter than my other flannels. It wasn't so I will now look for a boy or men's cotton shirt to try on.

I have several of these shirts, love the soft material and they last a long time. I have noticed that the Tall sizes are a little more fitted in the waist than the regular size, and the arms can run a little narrow. The Royal Red seemed, to me, a little more pinkish than I was looking for and the background color in the plaid is not white (which I would like better) but a putty or ivory color. I am returning the Royal Red for another color.

I love this shirt! The plaid is so beautiful I bought both a men's shirt and boxer shorts and a shirt for my daughter and one for myself. Would you please consider making a women's pajama pant. I am see many happy evenings this coming fall!

Nice construction and fabric, but the cut is a bit arrow and skimpy in the sleeve width for a garment often worn as a casual jacket over t shirts.

Loved the flannel material and the lady helping me pick it out. I only wish it was more fitted like the old days, the newer cut is more boxy.

disappointing. I waited over a year for this to become available in petite. It started to pill after the first washing and continues to get worse.

Ugh, apparently I'm sized out of anything that is a "relaxed" fit. That's crazy because I know there are people smaller than me. I'm 5'7" 120 lbs and should be a small per size chart. Tried the xsmall and it's laughably wide through the chest and body. Fits well across the shoulders but the cuffs hit just above my wrist. If you are making a range of sizes like regular/petite/plus then please attend better to proportions appropriate to these size ranges. Now I'm wondering where I can go to find a quality fleece shirt that fits my body.

Been wearing LLB flannel shirts for years - strayed once and learned my lesson - LLBs last much longer and don't pill as the "other brand" did. I usually get darker colors - this time went for one in orange/yellow light green/blue and I really like it. Fits like it was made for me. No complaints, nothing but compliments.

Loved the shirt! Until I washed it, as directed. It shrunk! Very disappointed.

Sadly, the Angus plaid I bought 4 months ago has disappointed. The tailoring is still good, but the flannel has got little "pill" balls after only a few washings and is no longer soft and cozy. I've been wearing this flannel shirt for years in different plaids and still have some from 8 years ago that actually look better. Please go back to better sourced fabric.

I love the shirt but I always wear a M however this seems to run a bit small. Is it because I expected it to fit more loose. I'm still trying to decide if I want to exchange for a L.

Pros: Shirt is soft flannel and I like the weight of it. Colors are attractive.
Cons: Wish there was a wee bit more room in the chest area. Pattern does not line up at the side seams. Now I see why none of the online model pictures are a side view...

This shirt was short in length. It fit more like a petite. The red is a muted shade, not bright. It's a basic flannel shirt.

Originally ordered XL based on size chart. Pulled at buttons so shirt returned for 1X which also pulled at buttons so I will wear it open with a tank top underneath.

Arms are short. The fit is boxy. I am a true petite but this didn't work for us. I bought three matching shirts for our holiday photos. Unfortunately two will be returned.

Once again, I sought from Bean actual garment measurements by phone, ordered according to what measurements were given to me and found them not in accordance with the garment received. I know I took down the measurements given to me exactly, but am left with a shirt two inches shorter than I was told. Bean needs to offer on its site actual garment measurement so it cannot claim a customer made a mistake when ordering, Simple as that - CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My wife says the shirt is looser than she likes them. They went to a relaxed fit and are too big

The color and weight of the flannel shirt is nice. I was disappointed in how the flannel looked after it was washed. It has a sort of a fuzziness to it. The fir was also very nice
