I went back and forth between the Grey Stewart and the Princess Mary. I have a lot of green as a colleague pointed out to me so I purchased the Grey Stewart. I am so glad I trusted my friend because it is beautiful. It actually looks even better than the picture. It is a darker grey in actuality. It is simply a gorgeous flannel shirt and as always with LL Bean, the quality is there. I can't wait to wear it but now I think I am going to purchase the Princess Mary plaid too. Love these shirts!

This flannel is great! I bought it strictly for functional fashion purposes. I am 5'4" and 140lbs, 34C. The XXS relaxed fit is comparable to an XS Fitted Scotch Plaid Shirt. There is enough room for the shirt to be a comfortable fit but not too baggy, even for a relaxed fit when sized down. The print as well as the flannel material/thickness is perfect for layering and keeping warm. I got two different plaids and I couldn't be happier!

I've purchased 8 of these this year. They are snug and warm enough I don't have to pump up the heat. The only concern is that I have found they shrink a little after several washings, not enough to be a problem. They do come out of the dryer looking great. No ironing.

I am a black watch addict. I used to buy the Men's shirt, but just tried the women's and it's actually loose and fits better, so I'll be buying it now. I love this shirt. I actually bought it in the red plaid too. Gorgeous! Soooooo soft, thick, and comfy. I wear it to work (business casual law office) with black pants and below knee black boots. So comfy. Buying a great flannel shirt is worth it, these last forever. My past shirt has a bleach stain on it- but I won't throw it away, it will be a night shirt or something. Too good to waste.

I love these flannel shirts. They look beautiful and colors are as you see on the site. I wear these flannel shirts all the time. My go to tops for shopping or just taking a walk. They wash beautifully and do not shrink. So soft and warm and toasty to wear. I would Highly recommend these shirts. I bought 2 last year and 2 this year and both fit the same and the quality is the same. Last years collars were button down where this years are not but both are nice. I think these are the perfect flannel shirts!

Nice flannel. Feels like a hug when you put it on. Smart looking shirt. Goes anywhere. Fit is perfect. Steve length is appropriate.

I bought 3 of these last year and recommended having a spread collar rather than button down. This year the collar is spread and I like it so much more. The flannel is substantial and the colors are beautiful. The fit is very good for me. I now own 5 of these shirts and will be back for more. I just wish LLBean paid more attention to women's sizes.

I received my flannel Scotch Plaid Shirt, Relaxed in a very timely manner. I was thrilled with the colors and the fit of the shirt. I usually have a difficult time finding a button down that is roomy enough in the chest, but doesn't swallow me up in the waist this shirt does the trick and is super comfy!

Yes, it's the Wallace Tartan, which belongs to our family! I recommended it to my Mom, who I believe, ordered one as well! Thanks for diversifying your selection!

I have worn my shirt constantly since receiving, and will probably order another. I am 5'7" with long arms, but the medium fits me perfectly. Still looks new after washing. This will be a favorite for a long time

My 12-year-old daughter recently got very into plaid flannel shirts, which made me want one, too. I ordered this one, in Wallace, because it was on sale. I was initially pretty worried about the relaxed fit in 1X, because I thought it would be boxy and tent-like. It is just fitted enough to have some style, and the best benefit of the "relaxed" part is that I can actually wear it buttoned and without annoying gaps in the chest. I like it enough that I just ordered it again, in Colanquin (sp?). Do be aware, though, that the red in the Wallace plaid is darker and richer, rather than the brighter red in the photo. Still pretty, though!

medium to heavyweight flannel very warm and washes without pilling or wrinkling. relaxed style fits better than summer shirts I tried. I usually buy mens flannel shirts for a particular plaid but I've always loved the Princess Mary tartan.

I have MANY of these flannel shirts. I wear them throughout the winter and love them. I had one in Lindsay plaid and wore it often. I finally wore it out -- NOT product failure; I just wore it out! But now I'm looking to replace it and I can't find Lindsay plaid for women! Please bring it back!

I bought 2 of these beautiful shirts. I ordered a petite medium in the Princess Mary, and a petite small in the Colquhoun. I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 125. The medium is somewhat big, but I like that, just to throw over a shirt and and a pair of jeans for a warming layer. I, like others wish you would bring back the chamois shirts for women. I miss having one!

I purchased the grey stewart color and couldn't love it more. It's a nice relaxed fit shirt which is perfect for layering over a long-sleeved tee as the air turns crisp. The fabric is lovely and soft; the shirt fits well (1X, 5'6", 200 lbs) and is comfortable. I am very pleased.

I have 3 of these shirts, and love them! They are nice enough to wear tucked into khakis at work, but comfy enough to wear with jeans out, or with flannel pants at home. Great patterns, too!

I like the relaxed fit of this shirt very much! I am tall, so I appreciate that it falls lower. I have lost some weight, so have had to order in a smaller size. Love the Princess Mary pattern, but disappointed to see that the Prince Charles Edward pattern is sold out in my size. I hope the pattern is not being discontinued, but rather will become available again this season.

LOVE LL Bean's Scotch Plaid flannel shirts! I have several - they're perfect for the Pacific Northwest. Last year my all time favorite plaid became the Buchanan. I receive so many compliments when I wear it and LL Bean receives their share of free advertising! I see you have it for men; but not for women. Please, pretty please, bring it back. Thank you.

I order one or two of these every year. They wash up beautifully and the colors stay bright. This year there are no buttons on the collar - good. Also the sizing is changed. I ordered a petite small in the past, but now that "fitted" and "relaxed" options are added, the XS in relaxed fits better. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs. As long as Bean keeps coming up with new colors, I'll keep ordering!

Just purchased this shirt & after reading many reviews I decided to order a size M due to most reviewers stating their opinions on the sizing of this particular shirt. I am 5'6-1/2" tall & weigh 147lbs. This fits me very well. Plenty of room to layer over a lightweight turtleneck or any type of tee. Sleeve length is very good for me as I have long arms & I like the longer length which almost covers my bottom & I like the spread collar. I have washed once in cool water & dried on extra low(delicate)for apprx 20 minutes & hung to finish drying. Came out perfect & absolutely no ironing required.I will be ordering another. I realize this is a long review but for those of us who are always hesitant about sizing I wanted to give my opinion based on my particular build & opinion.

I purchased this a size smaller than I usually wear and found that it fit perfectly. I scared myself to death when I accidentally washed it in hot water. It did not shrink at all. That was a happy outcome. I have an LL Bean flannel shirt from 20 years ago that is much thicker than is this and I would like to find that again, but this is perfect for layering and for fall days that are not too cold.

My mom bought me the slightly fitted in our family Stewart plad. I then bought the Stewart Gray relax fit to have a shirt to wear over a short sleeve shirt as the weather changes. Both are wonderful shirts and my husband always says how cute I look wearing my LLBean shirts. These shirts are the highest quality and feel great on. They hold the color even after being washed. The best part they are cotton so no dry cleaning. Love being an outsider.
