This shirt is soft and warm. I wear it when walking on cool days, and also hanging around on cool nights.

Fits about as expectedon my average frame, this shirt manages to fall comfortably without looking like menswear. Quality is, as always, unmatched. Solid construction that you just don't see in women's clothing often at all. The Scotch Plaid has a few more colors to the pattern than I thought it would (online, the picture looks like the stripes are only red and green, but this is not the case in person-it has a wider range of shades of red and green and even some yellow), which is fine by me!

I ordered this last year and the fit was perfect (medium). This year I ordered another one, but had to exchange it for a small. I love these flannel shirts from LLB. Now I have three of them. Would recommend them to others.

I wear this too often. It's thick enough and comfortable enough with jeans or leggings.

If you're looking for a comfortable flannel shirt for the colder months, this is it! This shirt is a great layering piece. I wear it over a turtleneck or long-sleeved crew and it fits perfectly. Be prepared for compliments.

This is a classy flannel shirt. The color is so rich, and the fabric hand is soft. I am well-endowed, and the button-front does not gap!!!!!!!!!!! Best flannel shirt ever. I don't dry in the dryer, so no shrinkage noticed. I do think ironing is a good idea for a crisper image, but certainly not necessary.

This is my second flannel shirt and I love it. I wear it over a tee or turtleneck top for warmth in the fall before I need a jacket. Not only is the shirt warm, it is so soft to the touch. I also have two that are fleece-lined and love them as well. Even warmer in the winter so I can keep the thermostat turned down.

FIT: Shirts are tricky for me. I'm 5'7", 145#, 36C, narrow shouldered/short armed but wide in the hips. These days many shirts are cut so that either they are huge on my shoulders, or else they are too snug on the hips. I ordered the Black Watch in Petite Small and it is perfect. I have room to move but it is not baggy or shapeless. There is a little margin for shrinkage, but I hope it does not shrink. COLORS: The Black Watch plaid is lovely. Some of us do better with the more subtle, not-screaming-red options, so please do offer plaids in more blues and greens, and some of the more subtle variants: Modern Lindsay, Ancient Douglas, Flower of Scotland, or Campbell would expand your sales to include more people of different colorings. I am very happy to have the Black Watch, and if you offered this shirt in a Modern Lindsay, or a subdued version of Campbell or Lamont, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

These Scotch Plaid flannel shirts are absolutely wonderful! Bought two last year and just bought two more. The fit is relaxed without being baggy and the colors are clear and beautiful. Repeated washings don't seem to shrink them, and they continue to look new. No pilling so far! They are soft and warm and cozy. Couldn't be happier.

This shirt gave me hope for the future of Bean quality standards. The tailoring includes double buttons on the cuffs, a placket an inch-and-an-eighth wide (why women's shirts have skimpy narrow plackets is something close to insulting), and a fair weight of cloth. I would have preferred heavier, but this is okay. It did not shrink in the wash nor did the seams wrinkle. Most of all, I liked the tartan selection. They were true tartans, not the ghastly color collisions currently on offer in some other styles. I am hoping that Bean's will continue to offer more of these traditional tailored fabrics, colors, and styles, with parallel quality of materials. I have depended on Bean's for over fifty years.

I chose the Bean of Freeport Hunting plaid which is attractive and now I hear that it is the official tartan for LLBean. Once you wear these warm fllannel shirts you want to wear them every day. They are true to size, wash well, and good quality.

Seriously the best - exactly what a flannel should be. I ordered a small, and it's great for wearing over shirts, but when I order another I might size down so I can wear it by itself - or maybe order the slightly fitted style. Love the material, nice and classic look. Definitely worth its price.

I bought this shirt because I LOVE the hooded version and wanted one without a hood. The fabric is wonderful--substantial weight, soft, vibrant color. LL Bean is my go-to store for many items; now it is my go-to place for flannel, too!

I bought 4 of these shirts - two last year and two this year. I call them my winter wardrobe. Good with or without a tank. Love the colors, roominess, and warmth.

LL Bean scotch plaid flannels are the only flannels to own! Soft and well made. Hold up for years.
I wish there was more of a color selection....
Black Watch is my all time favorite, followed by the Stewart Plaids.... wish you would offer the dress Stewart (white) and the muted Stewart (tan) along with bringing back the Buchanan which has very nice, warm yellow in it.
Those sell out right away and you take forever bringing them back.
I normally wear a medium but buy the small in these shirts as they tend to run a size bigger.
Cozy, cozy, cozy. A must have!

When Fall comes around, I think flannel and Bean flannel in particular. I love the colors, classic patterns, and the quality. I usually try a new plaid each year, while I continue to wear my previous purchases for years. There are other interesting flannels out there, but I keep coming back to Bean.
