I desperately needed new, warm pajamas for lounging around during our cold, Michigan winter nights. I've always loved a good flannel and expected to not be disappointed by LL Bean's product. For the most part, I'm not disappointed. These pajamas are heavy, soft and warm. The colors are very deep and rich.
However, while my size in all other LL Bean products has been very consistent and well-fitting, I have found the top on these to be cut for a man, not a full-bodied woman, so I can't button the middle button and wear the top as a jacket over a tank top instead. The bottoms seem to be cut "straight" too - there's not much room to accommodate the curves of a woman's hips so the bottoms are not very forgiving and I can feel a tightness around the hips/abdomen when I sit or bend over.
Overall, I love these but I really wish they were cut more for a woman's body and it's curves. For a pajama, it would be expected to have ample room.

Love these! Other reviewers commented that they werent very thick or warm-- but i found them very warm and cozy. The pants are more like sweatpants than pajama bottoms and seemed really big compared to the top. Will probably have the pants altered a little bit.
4 stars because of weird sizing rather than 5

These are very nice pajamas, well-made and comfortable. I bought the black watch plaid and did wash them once before wearing. They generated an enormous amount of lint in the dryer. One wash was not enough. The bed sheets, blanket and carpet have shown multiple, multiple, multiple specks of dark lint.

Well, there is nothing cute or attractive about these but if what you want is comfort and warmth, then these will do it. Good quality fabric, very generous cut, for me anyway. The Small Petite is very roomy, baggy really, and heavy enough to be lounge wear. But I do resemble a little bitty lumberjack in this outfit. I'll try something a little more "girly" next time.

Sized weird; top ran small, sleeves too short. Returned.

The plaid and the colors are pretty, and they looked and felt great for the first few washes. The flannel is soft, but thinner/flimsier than your past flannel pajamas were made from. The construction of the pajama shirt is also less structured, so the placket down the front is already beginning to lose shape. I've worn them twice a week for the past 3 months, and they are beginning to pill. The others took years to begin to pill, and I have LLBean pajamas that are 5 years old look better than these do now. I also bought some of the others on final discount at the same time, so I have something to compare these to directly. The others are much more soft, thick, and luxurious. This is disappointing. I hope you will return to your previous, more substantial flannel. In fact, I was going to buy some of your new flannel sheets, but I don't want to pay so much for flannel of this quality. I'd like to buy the ones labelled chamois, but you only have them in deep plaids or gray. I like more basic colors, like white or pastels.

Both top and bottom had 3- large tags, difficult to remove without damaging the seaming----irritating to skin and remains irritating for impossible to completely remove all the tags without causing damage. Not sure about the white buttons. Everything else I would give a 5----the irritating tags and white buttons bring rating down to a 3. I would recommend the product if the product was tagless.

Shrunk in the first wash and now it's too small, order a size up. It's supposed to be preshrunk so this was so upsetting

I'm sad the bottom wore out so quickly. The seams for the drawstring tore in the first month, and then one day, I put my leg through at the wrong angle and the fabric tore like paper. They lasted nine months.

Cut of top is narrow but otherwise true to size. Bottoms are way too large. Please sell separately

Last year I bought a pair of your flannel pjs and they were, warm, heavy, and as cozy as can be. I bought another pair this year and the quality is inferior. They seem much lighter weight and not as warm.

I bought these flannel pajamas six years ago. I love them and want a different pattern. New set is beautiful and the pants fit well but the top is too tight in the shoulders and the hips, I can't button the last button. So disappointing as I also bought the matching robe which fit great. I compared both tops and there is an inch difference in width. I tried the next size up but was huge. Sadly I'll have to return both robe and pajama set.

36DD bust does fit inside a large top. Bottoms were true to size. Went to exchange and it's sold out. Will probably try only color left even though it doesn't match robe on back order. Ordered tall for 5'6". Perfect for me.

Very disappointed. I bought a pair four years ago. My new ones are very thin compared to the old ones. They are very long even though they are petite size. I loved the old pair and they still look like new.

These run quite large even for someone who likes a relaxed fit in pajamas. I am 5 9" and the Tall were 5 to 6 inches overflowing on my feet. So the sizing guidelines need some attention. I did return for a size Regular. Like lots of flannel washing really takes any structure out of them so be prepared for this.

My husband gave me these pajamas in January 2023, and at first I absolutely loved them. They were incredibly comfortable and cutenice enough for overnight trips with friends and wearing around family. I even recommended them to others.
Unfortunately, after less than three years of regular wear, the fabric thinned dramatically in multiple areas and developed holes. The seat of the pants became so thin that it tore into a large hole, and a similar hole formed on the sleeve below the shoulder.
I brought the pajamas to a local LL Bean store, but I was told that only seam tears are considered when evaluating product quality issues. LL Bean prides itself on durable, long-lasting products, and these pajamas fall far short of the quality I expect from the brand.
Disappointed,

I am a long time dedicated LLBean customer. I was so looking forward to these pajamas. Unfortunately, the top is snug across the bust (Petite Large). The pants are way too long and I will need to have them hemmed. This is a first. The Petite sizes have ALWAYS fit me. Debating whether or not to keep them. The fabric is soft and the pattern is LLBean navy plaid which I love. Unsure what to do since the top is too small and the pants are too long!

I bought the medium long first and they were too long. I exchanged them for the regular medium. Before washing, the sleeves fit perfectly. I washed the set on tap cold and the sleeves shrank by about an inch. I'm 40, 5'7", 150 lbs. Now the sleeves are too short and I can't return them. The pants still fit, though they also shrank. There are also too many itchy tags on this set. I'm disappointed.

These pajamas have been on my wish list for 2 years. The Angus pattern was on sale plus I had a discount code so I decided that now was the time to purchase them. I usually wear an XL in Regular at LL Bean, but I ordered a 1X in Plus because I figured I would appreciate a roomier size for sleeping in. Unfortunately the pants are too long, and the fabric is kind of tight between the shoulder blades. So it isn't a very comfy set of pajamas. It just confuses me, because I have both size XL and 1X in flannel shirts and neither of them are tight like that. Just a bummer. Other than that, the material is good quality. Female, 5'5", 220 pounds, normally sizes XL/1X & 16/18.

Okay, so I am 5'8" tall and about 140 lbs. I tried the small and medium size of these pajamas in both tall and regular. IF I could have had a medium TALL top and small REGULAR bottoms, I would have had the perfect pj combo. Which is why L.L. Bean should really offer these items for purchase separately. The medium bottoms were way too bulky, so the medium set was out. The small top was way too tight across my shoulders, so the small set was out. For the price point, it's just too expensive to settle for something that only fits well on one half. Sigh.

The top was a little small and the bottoms were too big. I ordered a medium. I wear medium blouses but this jammie top was a little tight. The pants were about 3 inches too long so i hemmed them up. Im 5'8" so i ordered a tall but these were way too long. Also the pants were big and loose. I would prefer jammie pants that fit better. I dont feel it was worth the price I paid.
