Ok, I'll start by saying I have an old pair of these (probably at least 7 years) and I loved them but found after a while their softness turned into cardboard. All the fleece fuzz was gone, they seem like basic cotton without the softness of cotton, or anything. I thought I would try again - I ordered another pair recently, adorable print, so soft, warmth right as they touched my skin. However, I just got them out of the dryer after the 5th wash and the fuzzy-softness is noticeably disappearing. WHY!! I want to love these. I know the bottoms are huge, I don't mind because they are comfortable. I know the legs are too long but in petite the arms are too short so I don't mind the long legs. I love the weight - these are the only pj's that are fleece I can sleep in without overheating. But I can't deal with the soft material losing it's fuzzy warmth. The price of these should reflect the quality and it doesn't. I am so sad...these seem so cheap.

I love LLBean flannel and the cold weather required some cozy PJs. Unfortunately, I forgot why I don't own any...The bottoms are HUGE and the tops are restrictive. (The "how did it fit? bar will not let me enter two opposite ratings.) I am a pretty solid medium in other LLB petite items. I have returned them in past years but was hoping they had fixed this problem. Nope.

I have been buying from LL Bean for many many years and these flannel pajamas were the poorest quality I've ever seen. The first time they were washed (acc. to directions) they pilled and sloughed off so much and it was the same the third time. Also, you could see light through them. I never write reviews but felt like I had to address the quality issue.

I had to return these. Very strange fit. The pants were huge but the top was tight in the underarms! Not what I was hoping for from LLBean!
Because the pants were so big, going a size up was not sadly option.
Why have the top so tight? Especially when they are pj's where you expect to move around and get tugged at? And I mean I tried them on and under the arms was uncomfortable without moving.
Hopefully this wonderful company will fix this issue!

The fit of these pajamas was great. I washed them before wearing and much of the fabric came off in the washing machine and subsequently in the dryer. I washed and dried them again and the same amount came off. I figured by my fifth washing they would be threadbare. What a disappointment. They felt so soft and comfortable. I was looking forward to wearing them. I sent the fuzz from the washer and dryer with my return. What a mess in the washer, dryer and my floor when I shook them out!

I bought my husband a pair of LL Bean flannel pajamas about 5 years ago and the fabric still looks brand new, so I was very excited to buy a pair for myself.
They arrived last week and I finally had a chance to pop them in the wash today, getting ready for colder nights this week. Sadly, they pilled. Terribly. On everything in the washer. When I hung the pjs on the line, they were completely pilled and looked like pajamas that have been worn hard for a long time. I have bought from LL Bean for many, many years and have come to expect high quality products, but this flannel is clearly of a different grade than the flannel used in my husband's pajamas. I hate to do it because I really, really wanted to wear flannel jammies this year, but I'm going to have to return them. For the cost, I can't justify keeping them, especially considering they're doing so badly and I haven't even worn them yet.

The bottoms both tore in the seat . I was so disappointed. They sort of disintegrated. Both pairs were worn normally and washed regularly. I was dis appointed in the quality.

The top is the correct size but it is very skimpy and the arms are too short; I might have exchanged it for a medium (I am never anything but a small size) BUT the pants are HUGE! I (and the women I know) want pajamas with a generous top (COZY) and pants that are long enough but not wide enough to fit 4 of my legs! A generous top and fairly slender legs gives an elegant look to pajamas-
these are the opposite! Very disappointing!

I purchased these at Christmas for my wife. They were size 2X, and she could not wear them as they were too small. I had to return them.

This is my first pajama purchase from llbean. The flannel is very soft but feels thin, however this would be fine in SoCal. I purchased a large and the bottoms fit fine. The top wears like a tight, fitted shirt and HAS BUTTONS ON THE SLEEVES... like a shirt. I'm very disappointed and will be returning.

My husband got these for me as a gift. I was so excited. Tried them on and they fit perfectly! Washed them according to instructions....SHRUNK an insane amount. The top is so uncomfortable I can't wear it to bed. The bottoms are way shorter in length now but at least they're bearable. Not worth the money though. Reached out to customer service, hoping they do something because this is a total waste of money ): not even sure a size larger would work. Maybe a tall L bottom so when the pants shrunk lengthwise they're normal? And an XL regular top? I don't even know. Also super tight in the arm pits now. My one biggest pet peeve when things shrink.

I purchased the red flannel p.j.s and found the fabric to be exactly what I wanted -- soft and thick for these cold winter days. But I was so disappointed to find them not cut properly. The pants were extremely large and too long. The top was the right size. I know one needs to allow for shrinkage but these would never shrink that much and I couldn't wear one without the other so I sent them back.
LL Bean please consult with the manufacturer to correct the sizing so that I (and others) can order them in the future!! Thank you!

This was my second pair of LL Bean pajamas. I say "was" because they are no longer usable after fewer than a dozen wearings. While my first pair is still going strong after many years, this pair ripped in the arm above the elbow in a place where there would be no stress to the garment. When we tried to take them back to LL Bean in Lyndhurst, Ohio, we were told that this was "ordinary wear and tear" and that nothing could be done. There is nothing "ordinary" about pajamas at this price point where the material is so poor that it tears between the elbow and the shoulder. I would recommend not wasting your money on what was once a terrific product.

Have several pairs of the LL Bean Flannel sleep pants and live them. Thought I'd treat myself to new pjs... Received my order only to find the pants were HUGE and the top was snug across the bust. Had to return and won't be reordering. I should have heeded the advice others offered in their reviews and saved myself the shipping costs back!!!!

I have been buying clothing from LLBean for years. I have always been happy until now. I purchased 2 pairs of flannel pajamas a little over a month ago, and one of the pairs already has a hole in it. So now I have a monogrammed dust rag. When you spend $80.00 for a pair of pajamas they should last. Very poor quality.

Had to return this product because after one washing the fabric was all pilled and looked terrible. very unhappy with the quality of the flannel. I love ll bean products in general so this was very disappointing.

Over the years I've bought LLB pajamas and I've been pleased. Not this time. When I removed the pajamas from the packaging, I saw lots of pilling and felt the thin material. I tried them on and they were huge, top and bottom. I did not see a way forward with this purchase so I returned them.

I absolutely love the pajamas and so much wanted to keep them! However, I bought a Medium petite but the top was too tight and the bottoms were made for someone with hugely heavy legs. I don't think even the heaviest person could look right in these. I read the other comments and saw that someone had to have them taken in. I would have to have them tailored and am not going to spend money for that and they'd look funny anyway. Sure, when we get pajamas, we don't want something like leggings, we want some room to move our legs comfortably but these are crazy! I hope that Bean is reading this and can tell the manufacturer to make normal sized leg widths, tapered just right. If I ordered a large, the top would fit but the bottoms would then be ridiculous. Maybe next season, these can be revised because the fabric is soft and I love the pattern. I have been with Bean for about 50 years and am surprised that they approved a fit like this. Please address this. Thanks!

I had high hopes for these pajama's and always wanted a pair. Now I wish I hadn't. I like them to fit loose so that there is plenty room to move around. My legs are shorts so I bought petite. The pants are huge and hang under my house shoes and drag on the floor. The shirt is tight through the shoulders and restrictive. These are the oddest sized pajama's I have ever purchased. I washed the pants hoping they would shrink some. If they did, I can't tell. I have several brands of pajama sets and these by far cost the most and fit the worse. Very disappointed. I had to pick either too large or too small to post this but the pants are large and the top is tight.

Sleeves were too long. I had to double check to be sure this item was actually labelled "petite". It was, but you could have fooled me. Bottoms were also too large. I had these same PJs years ago and was disappointed to discover that the quality of the current fabric was not nearly as good. Returning.

I bought 2 pairs of these and these pjs are not nice to wear like your previous flannel pjs. Material is scratchy, thin and cheap. I liked your old pale pink or blue solid color pjs and the checked ones also. These just don't compare at all. Bring back the good ones. I can't believe you don't carry the good ones anymore.

The good news is the flannel is soft and cozy. The bad news is that the PJ bottoms are HUGE! I laughed when I put them on. A full 5+" of extra fabric from the waist down! I had to get out my sewing machine and take in the side seams about 2.5 inches (5" total for each leg.) And they are still roomy now, after the alteration. I think LLB blew it on this sizing.

Having worn LLB flannel pjs for years, (still wear several pair that are decades old) I was delighted to receive these as a gift. It was immediately apparent that the quality had fallen substantially. Material was quite flimsy, and the patterns didn't match up at the seams -- really hate that -- cheapens the look. As another reviewer pointed out, after laundering, I had flannel fuzz all over my other laundry as well as the washer. As these were a gift, I didn't return them, but donated them to charity.
