The pajamas fit perfectly until washed and dried on delicates cycle. I would estimate they shrunk a full size.

I liked the style, found the pants to fit, but the top was too tight fitting. I prefer the top to be looser for more comfort.

These would have been perfect if not for two things; the pants do not have pockets and the shirt is too short. They are very soft and I could have lived with not having pockets, but I didn't want the shirt to expose my waist and chest when wearing it. Why do companies either skimp on the length of regular shirts or offer "tunics" which are too long?! No happy medium. So back they go...

I am satisfied with these, but would have liked it if they bottoms had been made of softer material, as the top top is. Curious. But after I washed them, they really softened up. Phew! If I was to describe softness using sheet thread count, the top is like 400 thread count soft and the bottom was 200. But really, washing definitely helped. Other odd thing about the bottoms, is that the front is much higher on the waist than the back. A lot. But under a bathrobe or for sleeping, I don't mind it. As they are the only PJ set Bean sells, and because I bought at an extreme discount, I am happy with them. But maybe next year, the fabric could be softened? Hope so. I'd like to order another pair.

The pants are huge. They are out of proportion to the top. Why?

The top was too short and the pants were too long. I am having the pants shortened and the top doesn't cover my back when I toss in bed. I would not order them again.

The shirt fit perfect, but the pants are way too large. I do like a loose fit, but this is a little too loose.

I am surprised at LLBean because they have always presented fairly nice competitive wear. I had purchased the same style pj's last year and I still wear them. Both top and bottom are a knit cotton.
This year I ordered another same style pair. The knit top is fine so far but the bottoms came in flannel (not the knit that the previous ones were) and the flannel is not soft but rather stiff. Perhaps they will soften up with washing.

I ordered an XL which I usually wear, and it was like wearing clown pants, so I returned and ordered a large, but I felt the top was too snug. I ended up going with the flannel top/bottom set in an XL and was much happier.

Nicely done for three season wearability. I count on LLBean for sleepwear in petites for both good fit and quality fabrics.

I purchased this item from LL Bean because I wanted a quality flannel PJ. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in the overall fit. The pants are not well cut, and do not fit nicely, as many other reviewers have noticed. I have other cotton PJs with a much nicer cut and fit. The quality of the fabric is good, but the fit and choice of colors leaves this PJ to be desired. I would not buy it again, nor would I recommend it to a friend. At this price range, it needs to be better tailored.

I have been an LL Bean customer for over 40 years and have purchased many pairs of PJ's for my husband with great success. The women's PJ's are not the same quality or comfort as the male version but are just as expensive. The material and waste band will not hold up to many wearings or washings. Considering the price, I was disappointed with them

These PJ's are just okay. The bottoms are not at all soft as pajama bottoms should be.

Love the pj's. However, they should be sold like bathing suits - tops and bottoms separate. The pants are a bit long, but the top is a bit short!

The PJ's are very nice but not really the usual LLBean quality. The shirt is great but the pants are not a really soft flannel, they're kind of stiff and also very big. They're ok for sitting around in.

Product was described as "cozy" but the material was stiff and not at all something I want to cuddle up in - it is improving after several washings but it is not on my recommend list - too bad because the pattern is lovely.

Sizing wrong... I ordered petite... too long and way too large. But the fabric was nice.
I would recommend this product only if they could find the right size to suit them.

Gosh, the pants in this set were huge compared to the top. I ordered a 1x thinking the top would be nice and roomy. The top fit ok but not real roomy. The pants were so big I could not believe it.
I ended up giving the pants away. I wear the top around the house with sweat pants.
I felt the top was not big enough and the pants were too large and very long.

What I loved about these pjs: warm but breatheable; bottoms long enough! What was disappointing: flannel bottom was printed rather than woven, making it stiff. I was expecting the soft woven flannel I usually get from you. For that reason, a little overpriced. Top is soft enough though, and sleeve length is adequate.

I was so disappointed with the quality of the flannel bottoms. Not soft at all. As I lay in bed this morning I couldn't help compare the pants to my lovely flannel sheets. A very poor comparison! The top is a nice quality fabric. The sizing was a little off too. The top fit perfectly and the pants were huge.

Bought these pajamas in small and the top fit great. The pants are huge-very wide legs and long! Don't think a extra small would work then the top would be too small. Too bad because the cotton material is very soft. Will be returning these.
If you are "pear shaped" these are the perfect pajamas for you!

Like the true color. However, the bottoms are huge huge while the top is super short, not any tummy nor hip coverage. I kept as the quality of the top appears okay. Thought would keep it even though short top but if truly want a top to come below your waist, I wouldn't bother. In regards to the pants, I laundered them twice and fit is now closer to what fits. Will wash again as still bit baggie, hoping over time they'll fit me good. The top's length was disappointing but will deal but will not be tossing in dryer!!! The set will certainly keep me warm. Thinking way over priced for quality of the pant. Sorry LLBean but your profit line seems more important to you and your customers this year with few things we have ordered.

Petite fits fine for 5'2". Top is lovely. Bottom flannel is comfortable, but in the first wash lost lots of flannel in the washer and whole handfuls in the dryer. Be prepared to wash separately for a while. Not the quality I expect from LL Bean.

I bought these thinking they were a different color of the Ultrasoft Cotton pj's which was my mistake. No where on the product description does it say the bottoms are flannel. The top fits nice but the bottoms balloon around my waist and hips. Not what I wanted to order, but I would have kept them if they fit.

Although I have always been satisfied with the clothing fit from either a size 8 or a Small from L.L. Bean, these size Small pajamas were so snug that they would have been very uncomfortable as a sleeping garment which should be loose-fitting for comfort. I doubt if they would have fit at all after one washing and drying. The PJs were returned for an exchange for a size Medium. We'll see.
