It's a well made jacket, but the area just below the neck between shoulder blades is inexplicably puffy. It's noticeable.

I almost did not purchase this due to the overly prominent label. However multiple reviews stated that it came off easily with a seam ripper. I did order and sure enough it came off easily and no glue. My size in misses was sold out so I ordered a petite as I'm short waisted and it's a long sweater. It hits at my hips. The sleeves are a tad short but I have long arms. I debated between a large and medium. I have a 34D bust. I opted for the large which fits the girls nicely (no squeeze) but pretty roomie around the waist. I was a bit disappointed that the weave wasn't denser. All in all I like it, it's soft and pretty (blue sapphire).

I love these jackets - I have 3 that I bought a couple years ago that I live in. I just ordered more in some other colors, and discovered they have put a LL Bean tag on the breast pocket area. It really looks bad - it stands out, and now this jacket is not as dressy as it used to be. There is no way to get it off. I used to be able to bring them along to wear with a nice scarf and dressy pants, but the new ones don't work at all except for gardening and work around the house. Very disappointed.

This was a good choice for a very nice warm jacket/sweater that one could wear for 3 seasons and in Minnesota, even in some of the summer evenings. It has great pockets, warm and cozy lining. I like it. I generally buy XL in petite and the length on the sleeves and jacket are good for me. It is, however, just a wee bit too fitted for me to love it, unfortunately. All this being said, I will definitely keep it.

I like the sweater fleece material, and I wish the sleeves were roomier near the shoulders. It's somewhat difficult to get it on over a shirt or turtleneck top.

I love the cut and the fit, except for the really tight sleeves. The body is roomy and could fit a sweater but not the sleeves. Trying to work outside has been difficult as I feel too restricted and have to go back to my old jacket. I really like it but have stretched the sleeves to make it work.

Love the fabric and color (sailcloth looks far nicer in person than in the catalog) but the sleeves are a bit short on me, the waist sits a bit high, and would like it to be more fitted in the waist area in order to keep the cold air out.

This sweater is a nice option for cooler days. Bought the sapphire and like the color. Particularly like the "inside" pockets to carry ID and essentials for daily walks. I bought the petite extra large and the sleeve size is just right but I thought the x-lg would give me room to layer underneath. It's a little snug for that.

Love the style of this little jacket! The front zipper is nice & easy to start & zip keeping the cold out. Feels like a soft hug with the fleece inside the sweater! More closely fitted than I prefer so I sized up to XL, now the sleeves are a little long but I'd rather that than not be able to wear a sweater under the jacket. Love the color selection & went with the Evening Blue. Haven't washed yet but am sure it will wash well, not sure I'd put it in the dryer. My only criticism is the LOGO sewn on the chest. I really don't like this version of the LLBean logo & am annoyed at needing to remove it to achieve the clean & sophisticated look I like. Would love a more discrete logo if it's necessary for it to be applied to the outside of the garment. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, so please reconsider LLBean.

Purchased a Petite Large in Pewter- size was good, sleeves a little long. I would have given 5 stars if it didn't have a logo on it. Fabric is lovely, but the zipper top at the neck is a bit scratchy. Overall, a good purchase and I would recommend it.

I bought this jacket in XS navy for my daughter who is 5' 6" and weighs 120 lbs. It fits her beautifully and looks great with her dark blue jeans. She is 19 years old and loves it.
I am disappointed because I wanted to get one for myself but I am 5' 3" and weigh 110 lbs. The XS jacket is too wide for me. In my ideal world I would also prefer it longer to cover my butt. I am sorry that LLBean doesn't cater to my size. This is the second jacket this year I loved and would have bought for myself if it was narrower and longer.

I really like my jacket, but wish I could get a vest, too. I see that's an option for men, but not women.

I bought this sweater fleece jacket in Sienna Clay and am very happy with it except for the LL Bean label sewn on the front of the jacket in a prominent place. I DO NOT WEAR CLOTHES WITH ADVERTISING. If I hadn't been able to remove the label, I'd would have returned the jacket.

I ordered XL because I don't like tight clothes. The sleeves are about 1 1/2" too long for me. It's loose around the body but will allow me to wear a layer or two underneath.

The fit was good, and the jacket was quite warm. Good pockets. I wish that the collar would stay folded down, though, because it bothers me when it hits my face every time I turn my head to the side.

I love the color and the texture is nice. The jacket is warm because the fabric is dense. The pockets are large and lined. Sleeve length is good. Length down the back is good. Zipper pulls easily. The collar can lay flat comfortably. My only disappointment is the collar which, in the upright position, is stiff. It pokes me in the neck under the chin. When I sit down, I fold the front under because it is stiff and poofs out. Hopefully it'll soften as it ages.

I now love everything about the sweater fleece I finally purchased. The bright sapphire color is gorgeous! However, I had to return the fleece I ordered on line to an LLBean store, and spent 45 minutes trying on a half dozen of the same fleece in the same size to find one that fit me well. The salesperson, who was a great help, couldn't believe the variations in fit and said she would report it. I hope this was an exception!

This is my second sweater fleece from LLBean - first purchased a couple of years ago. Quality is great, washes well, warm will be good for spring walk, now I wear it under a down jacket.
Four stars only because of the logo - it is quite overwhelming, the website does not show true colors especially yellow sky; my first sweater fleece had no logo. There are logos on two sweatshirt fleeces I have from LLBean, on the bottom of kangaroo pocket which is brown leather adds a nice touch. The colors on the logo of sweater fleece appear brassy - I carefully removed it. After a wash hardly detectable. Otherwise excellent purchase.

I know a lot of customers don't want the LLBean label on the front of their garments. I talked to a customer rep and was told the label could probably be removed by a seamstress. It took me 5 minutes to remove the label with a set of good eyes and a seam ripper. I then washed the top and now the label outline is gone. So, don't let the label stop you from purchasing this sweater fleece.

I love everything about this fleece sweater jacket EXCEPT for the LL BEAN label plastered to the front of it. I am traveling to Europe in the spring and I planned to wear it. So, today, when I received it, I tried to remove the label. Unfortunately, the color under the sewed on label was different than the other parts of the jacket. So, I am not able to remove label. So it will not go with me to Europe. It is well designed, beautiful color and silly label. I am disappointed.

Purchased this for my elderly Mom and the petite sizing fit her very well, which can be a challenge. It is a nice weight and warm enough for her brief outdoor excursions.

I have tried the name-brand version of this jacket twice, but in both seasons the sleeves were way too long, and I have long arms that have made getting sleeves long enough a problem in some garments.
I really like the shape and length of this jacket. I sized up for when it is really really cold and I need many layers, but even so, it hangs well. I was able to buy it in Bright Sapphire, a color that gets snapped up really fast--I've missed this or something similar in past years, so I've been holding out for it and got lucky this season. As a very pale person, I want some bold color, and this provides it.
I have not worn it many times, nor have I washed it, but a friend who has one from a past season warned me to wash it inside out to avoid it looking pilled and raggy--hers does.
I think the name label on the front is too big and garish, but since this jacket is much cheaper than the name brand, it's a compromise I'm prepared to take. I'm not as brave as another reviewer who took the chance in removing it.

I purchased the sweater fleece in bright sapphire in October 2017. It has worn well and washed well. I like that it is a bit dressy. The only concern I have is that there is pilling along the sleeves where they rub against the side of the jacket (pilling on the side also). I would like to purchase another color, but I am turned off by the new bold LOGO. When I have received compliments on the jacket, I have informed the compliment giver that it is from LLB. I really DO NOT LIKE THE LOGO on the new sweaters. LL Bean, please remove the logo.

It's a nicely made and good looking product, but the problem is this: Since the smooth part of the fleece faces out and the soft, fuzzy part faces inwards, that makes getting the jacket on over many different other kinds of fabrics worn underneath a struggle. I often wear wool shirts in winter and sliding the jacket over them just takes more effort than some older fleeces did, with shirt sleeves riding up as I try and pull the jacket on. Consequently, I use the jacket less than I ordinarily would.
