Beautiful styling and good fit, but lousy pocket zipper

I bought this in pewter and I love the color tones in it. Looks great with jeans or my black scrubs. The LLBean logo is more muted, which I like. It looked like a distraction on some of the other colors. The only downside is the collar. It stays up, can't get it to lay and rubs my chin/neck. Perfect for cool mornings. I seriously get compliments every time I wear it.

I wear a lot of LL Bean clothes, but I returned this sweater fleece jacket because I wasn't paying attention. The key word is "sweater." The fleece is on the inside and the outside looks like a knitted sweater. All of their products are made well and I get the maximum amount of wear out of them because I am pretty rough on them. I was afraid that I if I was doing yard work, and a nasty branch grabbed me, the jacket would have a permanent "pull." Therefore, I returned it and purchased a classic mountain fleece instead. I gave it four stars without really wearing it, but, it's still a great jacket.

Great jacket that fits perfectly. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is due to the side pocket zippers not having a strong enough grip of the zipper teeth - both pocket zippers came apart at the bottom when fully unzipped and I noticed there is no "catch" at the end to prevent them from separating. I've had to re-attach both of them and need to be careful not to fully unzip or put pressure on them when opened. Will probably need to put a pin or something in to stop this from happening.

For my just under 5-foot frame this fits a little differently than the one I purchased a year ago. The collar, which stands up, is a little taller, the back of the jacket dips down, and it's overall a little slimmer. I like the older one better but this one is just as warm and cozy and I like the color a lot.

Would have preferred not to have your logo on the front...hinders using this for a dressier look

I'm glad this jacket comes in Tall, the arms are long enough. The zippers are flimsy, especially on the pockets. But I like the weight and fit.

The blue color of this sweater fleece jacket is extraordinary. As other reviewers commented, the pockets are white and show if the jacket is unzipped. The second issue, for me, with the pockets is that the polyester material used to form the pockets is not tactilely pleasant. I often have rough hands from gardening outdoors. My hands do not glide into the pockets of this sweater, they haltingly catch on everything. It is really annoying. Once I replace the pockets with a better color and material, all should be well.

Ordered this to wear at work in a hospital where it's pretty cold. I only wish I had ordered a size up. I am 5'7, 160 and the large is pretty snug. It's a good jacket though and a lot of people have bought one since they like the look of mine.

I have several of these jackets - Love them. But won't be buying more right now because I do not like the placement of the LLBean label on the chest. It used to be (more appropriately in my opinion) at the hip. Please consider going back to that placement. Thanks,

Love this jacket! I decided to buy a second one. The sizing, however, was not consistent! Darn. The brown raisin in large fit me perfectly so I ordered the field rose in large as well but it was huge and stretched out around the waist. I will return it and try again, hoping it was a defect. For reference I am 5'6" and 125 pounds. I like things to be a bit roomy for layering and the brown raisin fit perfectly! I hope the second field rose will fit well and the first one that arrived was a defect. I also did order the pullover in the same line and the large was also perfect!

I like Bean's sweater jackets. They've comfortable, stylish, and versatile. The fit is true to size. I have a muted purple one from a previous season. While I very much like the raisin brown color of this jacket, I don't care for the pink trim. I decided to return it.

I really love this jacket. However, I got the royal blue, and the liners of the pockets are white. So, unless the pockets are always zipped closed, the white liners show badly. Not a good look.

Advertising is TOO WOKE how about not shoving your woke views down everyone's throat.

I love much about this jacket. It is well-made, warmer than fleece (and fits more snuggly than fleece), and the tall means the sleeves are long enough for my arms. I hate that the collar won't fold down and it pushes my hair up in back, and rubs against my jaw-very irritating. I sewed the back of the collar down which helped, but the corners of the front curl up and still rub my jaw. I finally sewed some snaps to hold them down and also allow me to unsnap if I zip the jacket all the way up. I think I'll be much happier with it now, but making a collar that folds down would have been much easier. Somewhere between love and hate, I wish the zipper was 2-way so the jacket wouldn't bunch up when I am seated. I like the zip-close pockets. This will be my go-to travel jacket.

This would be a 5 star, but the pocket zipper separated the second time I wore it. It's a warm and cozy sweater and the neck doesn't itch (I was afraid it would). It's perfect for winters in Tucson.

This is a very warm sweatshirt. I ended up returning it because it is very thick - more of a jacket. I wanted something lighter weight that I could layer. This seemed a bit too heavy for me. I love the color and that it is a bit longer to cover the hips, but just not quite what I was looking for. Very easy return process!

Wonderful warm jacket. I have several in different colors. There is one problem with many of these jackets, and that is the lining of the pockets are in a different color from the jacket. These are front pockets so show when the jacket is not zipped up. PLEASE match the pocket lining material to the jacket! It would make the jacket much more dressy and something we could wear for any occasion.

I love this warm, soft fleece on a cold day. The only drawback is that on the beautiful blue fleece they used white fabric for the pockets. So when the zippers on the pockets are open, for the front zipper is open, white lining shows and it looks odd. If not for that design flaw, I'd give this 5 stars. Probably less noticeable on the light colors.

I love the blue color of this jacket. I felt the sleeves were a little on the short side. I am 5' 8" and wear a small.

A bit heavier fabric than I would have liked, but decided to keep it anyway to wear on colder days.

I bought an earlier version of this jacket a year or so ago in 3 colors, and it is literally part of my daily "uniform" throughout three Vermont seasons. I wanted to replace one of them, but was disappointed to see that they have eliminated the hood, which I found so helpful when just running outside on a cold or rainy day. I would have given it 5 stars with the hood. However, this is the best jacket ever--well-made, well-fitting, flattering, and extremely practical with the zippered outside pockets. It's nicer than a sweatshirt, but as comfortable and useful. I wear it everywhere and constantly.
