Bought this to be my everyday winter sweater. So far it is perfect. Standing up well to a lively large puppy's loving. It is great for wearing in the house when it is chilly--we keep the thermostat at 68--and great for casual dinners out with friends, shopping, everywhere. It is my new go-to choice for outer wear or under my winter coat. My daughter likes it so much I ordered her one for Christmas.

I wanted a cotton sweater that I could dress up or down. This is it. The slight shaping is flattering, it's thick enough for winter, and it has pockets. I love the length. It washes well, and for me it is true to size and the sleeves are not snug.

I bought the cotton ragg sweater in XL natural color about 3 weeks ago. I love it so much I bought a second in oatmeal color for me and another for my Mom. This sweater is cozy, warm and very soft. Each of my sweaters have been washed and came out great. I was in cold water and dry them on delicate so they don't shrink.

I really enjoy wearing my new sweater because it's so cozy, holds its shape, and looks wonderful. Having seen a few fuzzies, I ran it through the no-heat cycle in the dryer after one wearing, and that seems to have taken care of them. The bright navy is an appealing color and goes with everything in my closet.

I love the fact that this is a cotton sweater. I have sensitive skin and many blends, especially with wool, bother me. It is a basic cardigan which can easily be worn with a tank or a turtleneck underneath depending on the season. I enjoy the versatility of being able to wear year round. The length is straight and long so it covers well and flatters without calling attention to any imperfections. The pockets are a definite plus for me. I live in a high rise and can grab my keys and go downstairs to check my mail or down the hall to the trash room and not have to haul my handbag. Hoping for more colors soon!

Having read multiple reviews complaining of excessive shedding, I machine-washed this sweater (in a mesh bag, on normal cycle, in warm-hot water) immediately upon its arrival. Not only have I noted no shedding problem, but I actually successfully machine dried it (in moderate heat) rather than having had to block it! A further bonus is that it can be stored on a shaped soft-surface hanger without stretching out of shape! On my 72-year-old body, the fit of a Regular Large works well for covering an ample bust-line, a sagging derriere, and moderate-length tunic tops. (A sleeker woman of my height and weight may prefer to size down and perhaps consider Petite sizing.) The pockets on my sweater are the inconspicuously-integrated curved-entry patch pockets presented in the narrative and photos not the seemingly-"random" side-seam pockets reported by some reviewers. I chose the Chalk Blue color (a muted mid-blue amply flecked with cream), which pairs especially well (but certainly not exclusively) with light- to mid-blue jeans. Since none of the other current color options works for me, I am hoping that LL Bean soon will be expanding the color palette offerings for this comfy classic cool-condition cardigan!

This is really the best sweater I've ever purchased from L.L. Bean. I like the length, the pockets, and the overall fit. I have just ordered another one, same sweater, to have another one when this one is either too old or doesn't look good any longer.

This sweater is all the prior great reviews say it is. Comfortable, with a perfect fit and weight. Bought the greenish color and it is just the right shade of green for my hazel eyes. Absolutely love it! Even my teenage daughter wants to borrow it.

I love to wrap up in this sweater in the evenings. It is so cozy! I bought a petite large so I would have plenty of room to wrap it around me and it does that very well. It is warm and I would definitely recommend!

This was a gift for my wife to wear back to Branson, Missouri as we celebrated Veterans' Day and our 50th Wedding Anniversary. She wore it virtually every day and she just loved it! It was suitable for the Fall weather and suitable for dinners and shows. I am so glad I bought it!

I like the cotton "feel" and it is easy to launder. Easily reshapes after laundering if tossed in dryer on low for 20 minutes, then lay flat and reshape to finish drying. Fit is true to size, can easily wear a long sleeve tshirt underneath. Weight of fabric is not to heavy, not to light, good for layering. Can be worn casual or dressed up with accessories, such as a scarf. Length is nice, can be worn with leggins and covers "rear" well.

Very comfortable & cozy. Length is perfect & sleeves are just right despite my linebacker's shoulders & gorilla arms. Purchased both navy & grey and I'm happy.

Liked color and the fit good for tights with long tops.

This sweater became my favorite as soon as I tried it on. It's nicely proportioned, cozy, and comfortable. And it looks great with jeans. It's a tad annoying that it can't go in the dryer, but worth the trouble. I may order a second one in a different color.

Super comfy

I normally treat myself to an LL Bean cardigan sweater every year. This year I ordered this in Loden. I am so happy with it! I always get a size larger in cardigans to fit over long sleeves so this fits great. Love the longer length, it's more stylish. Its just a cozy sweater, now I'm tempted to order another color. I didn't notice any threads on my light colored shirt from the sweater, I'm wondering if it's just in the lighter colors that shed? Anyway, this was a wonderful purchase.
