This is a lovely sweater, but was too large for me. I ordered a small (my typical LL Bean size) and it was long in the arms and just overall a bit too baggy.

Just received this so I can't comment on the durability, but immediately noticed how incredibly heavy this is. The heaviest sweater I've ever worn, without a doubt. It remains to be seen if that's going to be annoying or not. It's beautiful and on the plus side, seems sturdy. But also of note: it's HUGE. Thankfully with this sort of item I tend to want it to be a bit loose rather than tight and form-fitting. But L.L. Bean definitely has different ideas about what constitutes "small." I could probably fit two of me in here. I might suggest you get an XS if you're a similar size if you want it to look more like you're wearing it and not the other way around!

I found this too hot to wear indoors at any time, so I basically used it as a jacket. It is beautiful and I wish it was not as warm! It is extremely heavy, I cannot emphasize that enough, so beware if purchasing for an elderly person as a gift.

This is a pretty sweater, but it just didn't fit quite right. It does not meet in the middle or have any way to close it.

Sweater is very nice looking and soft, but you would have to be strong to wear this all day. Heavy and VERY warm. Going to return.

Viewed and tried it on in store in Freeport Me. Very disappointed in it. Not worth the price.

I love the look of the sweater, but it's uncomfortable for me. It's itchy around my neck and too heavy. I hate to return it but every time I try it on to see if I've changed my mind, I take it off within a couple of minutes. I'll be returning it.

This was not for me. I did not find it flattering and I didn't like the feel of the material. Sleeves didn't feel comfortable.

This is a beautiful, heavy sweater. It could be worn with many things. It was warm. However, after just 2 wearings, the yarn fibers started looking ragged and were sticking out. I didn't feel it was worth the money I spent on it, and sent it back.

Really cute sweater but the sleeves are too short. I inquired about the next size up (small) and the sleeves on the small are only 1/2 inch longer. Sadly, I had to return this item.

Beautiful sweater! Sadly it started badly pilling within 3 hours of me wearing it, so I decided to return it.

Meh. Nothing special. I love longer cardigans but, this didn't do me any favors. Love that it had pockets though!

If you need a sweater for "Ugly Sweater Day," this is it. I ordered the brown color, and the dark brown and bland orangish/pinkish of the sweater just do not compliment each other well. As others have said, the sweater weight is very heavy, and "pulls" you down. I found the sizing to be on the small side as the sweater did not come together in the front enough for my liking. I ordered the "Petite Small" thinking that would be better on the length since it is a long-line sweater. But, maybe a "regular" would have been roomier in the bust line, and a better fit. For reference, I am 127, 5'1". I definitely would need to size up in this sweater--either a "Petite M" or a "Regular S." I don't recommend this sweater, overall, due to its heft and the unattractive pattern/coloring.

I would have loved to have received this sweater. But, I never received it. You sent it to someone else by MISTAKE. You credited me because you did not have another in my size. I was so sad.

This sweater is too heavy! Also, it sheds like crazy. I tried it on over a dark tee and it was covered with fuzz! Not good! My husband ordered it for me, he is returning.

Narrow in the waist Ok through the bust and hips but why are they giving a sweater a tapered waist

I'm short and the sweater seem to accentuate my rear end !
