Wanted to like this: color fine, zipper good quality; fit true. However, I was very unhappy, even after laundering, that the bottom of the jacket stands out away from my body! It is very unflattering, so I'm returning it.

Eh. I got this "sweater" fleece. Thinner fabric than one might think. Looks kind of knit from the outside. Inside looks like a sweat shirt, and a very thin one at that. Not even a thick sweat shirt, but like a thin cheap sweatshirt. It is much thinner than a similar Men's one I had bought before. Not even anywhere close to the quality of the Men's one. (I did admittedly buy the Men's one 2 years ago. Could be the quality of the Men's one has declined since.) I had thought this would be a nice thick, heavy, cozy "jacket". Nope. The zippers are good. The collar is stiff so it is never going down and pushes my hair out unnaturally. I would not call this a "sweater". I would call it a thin sweatshirt. I still like it in some ways. Could be okay with it. But given the price of this sweatshirt, it is not worth keeping. Returning. Really disappointed in the quality. I expected more from Bean.

The quality of this is fine, but trying to select the right size was very difficult. I had to send it back for that reason.

When I bought this jacket in September I fell in LOVE! It is so comfortable, classic, and seemed durable. Unfortunately only after three months of wear the sleeves are already completely covered in grey pilling despite being washed only a handful of times on a delicate setting. Additionally, the sewing on the trim on the right sleeve is starting to unravel and the trim is coming off. While it is still comfortable and form flattering, I'm extremely disappointed this jacket is already looking worse for wear and it hasn't been entire season! I thought this product would last so much longer than other brands but it has been a major disappointment.

I returned it. Boxy cut, unflattering. Thin material, no pockets. Liked the color but didn't keep.

I had hoped it would be similar to the old fitness fleece, but no it isn't. Also, I do not care for the logo right on the front of the jacket. Please, please bring back the fitness fleece MINUS ant logo!

I love everything about this jacket but the logo. Please take it off or offer an option. Thank you.

Oh no, I bought four of these last year because I loved them. I lost one and wanted to replace it. Unfortunately, this year's version has added the company's logo and it's not removable. Sorry, but I don't want it now. So sad.

I was very disappointed when I got this beautiful blue sweater fleece jacket to find this year a brightly colored tacky looking LL Bean label has been sown predominately on the chest. The label is the very first thing you see on the jacket as it is so bright. I don't mind less obtrusive labels. Last year's sweater fleece did not sport this advertisement. I considered trying to remove it but the stitches are small and I'm afraid I'll cut the material. Unfortunately I see this label has been added to many items this year. I'll be returning this jacket.

I purchased this jacket in Sienna Clay, because I loved the color. I like everything about the jacket, except the addition of the logo, which limits its use to casual occasions. I love my four other sweater fleece jackets (no logo), because I can use them for casual wear, or add a scarf to 'dress them up.' Please remove the logo on next year's version. More colors would also be great.

I returned the jacket. I took it out of the package and threads were already coming off of the coat.

I bought this full-zip sweater fleece jacket as well as a half-zip pullover sweater fleece at the same time. They are both current merchandise from 2025 (i.e., not sale merch left over from last year), so presumably they should be sized the same as they are both sweater fleece products. I tried on the pullover first and it was big - shoulder seams way past my shoulders, body kind of wide. It's comfortable, but loose. I could wear it, but think it looks a little sloppy. I was planning to wear the half zip as a sweater so I'd like it to fit a little closer to my body. Next up, I tried on the full-zip jacket (for which this review is intended). Both items are size XL. I'm an XL in many other LL Bean products, and have several of these sweater fleece in my closet from prior years, so I do know what size fits me. (I'm 5'10" with a solid northern European frame.) This jacket was so snug, I had trouble getting my arms in the sleeves. I did succeed in putting the jacket on, but it was uncomfortable. The arms are way too tight in the biceps, it's too tight across the chest, and it's very form fitting throughout the rest of the body... I feel like I'm stuffed into it! It's definitely going back, and I'm not re-ordering. It's frustrating that neither of these items fits. One is too large all over and the other is too small everywhere. If it were a problem with just one of them, I'd say the item was mis-sized but they're both XL and there's no size in between to gravitate towards. Typically I would recommend these sweater fleece items. I buy a couple new ones every year to freshen up my closet and live in them during the winter. They're easy to wash (unlike a typical sweater), a little more durable than a regular sweater, plus they're warm and cozy. However, if they don't fit they are worthless. I'm not sure what's going on with LL Bean these days, but it seems like there's little quality control.

Bring back your classic "Mountain" jacket/fleece!! This new one is terribly unflattering. Again, bring back your classic! I returned it!

Returned right away. The boulder color is very nice, but the sleeves are way too narrow and tight. No way could I layer under jacket especially in cold weather. Also, don't care for the LL Bean logo right on the front of jacket.

I ordered this in a petite large. Very well made except for the sleeves. They are too narrow and if you are wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath, forget it. I don't know if this is a problem with the petite sizes or all sizes. Had to return.

The fit was hopeless for me. Chest part was so tight it flattened me. I felt my upper arms also were restricted. I've tried this style before and no change of size helps.

I returned this item. I ordered it in petite and found the arms were too long and it did not fit properly. Plus, the item was 100% polyester and I found it to be quite itchy.

This was my first time ordering anything from LL Bean, my parents are huge fans. I wore this 3 times lightly and the cuff of the sleeve came apart

I loved this jacket - it was everything I wanted in the color, coziness and fit, but then within 2 weeks of getting it the pocket zippers both broke. The zipper teeth came out of the catch on one side, on both pockets, and then could not be zipped up again. While I admittedly utilize my pockets a lot for dog treats - that's the sort of use LL Bean should expect! Incredibly frustrating and should not happen at this price.
