Great jacket inside or outside. Lightweight, can be layered.

Like another reviewer stated, it would have been nice to not have white lined pockets (I have the blue coat, which is a lovely color). It's a bit snug, especially the arms and I wouldn't be able to wear a sweater underneath this jacket. However, I do like the overall look and feel of the coat and kept it.

I'm not sure why the sleeves get real tight on XS items your items run large overall

Beautiful Arctic blue sweater fleece. I have several of these sweaters from the past but they are mediums and I want one with more room. When I saw the blue one I bought the large. It fits perfectly and I can add layers if need be. I gave it 4 stars for a couple of reasons. First, I do not like the logo being on the chest. It takes away from the sweater. My past sweater fleece did not have it. It could go at the hem off to the side. Better yet just leave it off! Second, the pockets are lined with cream colored fabric! My past sweaters were line with gray so if the zipper was opened you didn't even notice it. The cream looks off plus they will show dirt! Does not make any sense to have a darkish sweater with cream material. If I didn't love the color of this sweater fleece I would be sending it back! I am 5'7 158 pounds for reference .

I love this item as I purchased 3 of these fleece lined jackets. I live in them all winter. This lovely blue one has only one flaw in my opinion. The pockets are made of white fabric which is not very good, especially for this price. If the pockets are zipped, all is well but I use the pockets regularly so there are two big white slashes on my beautiful blue fleece. It is not the best choice for a quality item which is why I gave it 4 stars. The others I ordered have pockets that match the outside color. Someone goofed here.

I have 5 Full Zip Sweater Fleece Jackets because I love them. I have purchased them over the course of several years. They are perfect layer for Northeast winters or chilly fall and spring days. However, the pocket zippers have a flaw. All of the pocket zippers have failed in all the sweater fleece I own. The zipper pull comes off at the bottom of the pocket opening because they are not properly installed. The zipper end should be completely enclosed. There is a stretchy fabric tap at the ends of the zipper, top and bottom but they are not enough to fully stop the zipper when opening the pocket. The zipper teeth have a gap at the bottom and so it is easy for the slide to come off. Since I tend to keep my cell phone in these pockets, they get plenty of use. I've contacted LLBean product support to make them aware of this flaw. And since I am clever with a sewing machine, I can repair these myself. However for a product that is as expensive as these, I should not have to do this. My most recent fleece purchase this winter, failed within two weeks of ownership. Ugh!

I loved this jacket, the 4 stars is because the zipper on the right pocket broke the second day I wore it. It also pills badly, but the warmth and nice shape of the jacket rates 4 stars.

This is a warm, good looking jacket, I've gotten lots of compliments on it. I've worn it inside a cool house and out to do shopping and errands nearly every day since I got it. I love it -- but it has a few flaws. (I've noticed other people saying the same things.) One is the pocket lining is white, so if you leave the pockets unzipped it shows. Another is the collar is too high for me and uncomfortable at times. Also the zipper on the left pocket broke. Bean says they'll replace the garment but I'm going to see if it can be fixed first, rather than scrap this beautiful jacket. LLBean, this is such a lovely jacket, I'll want to buy another one next year if these things are addressed. It's the best one on the market for sweater fleece jackets.

Nice jacket/sweater! The blue color is beautiful! I have 2 from previous years that I have enjoyed. I would have given it 5 stars, but I rated it a 4 because the pocket color has been changed from dark gray to creamy color. When the pockets are unzipped you can really see the clash in colors. And I bet it will get dirty looking pretty quick. My other complaint is the logo on the front of the sweater. I hate that! It could be at the bottom or on the side if LL bean feels like it needs to label their sweaters. I don't think I will buy another one because of these two changes.

Beautiful styling and good fit, but lousy pocket zipper

I bought this in pewter and I love the color tones in it. Looks great with jeans or my black scrubs. The LLBean logo is more muted, which I like. It looked like a distraction on some of the other colors. The only downside is the collar. It stays up, can't get it to lay and rubs my chin/neck. Perfect for cool mornings. I seriously get compliments every time I wear it.

I wear a lot of LL Bean clothes, but I returned this sweater fleece jacket because I wasn't paying attention. The key word is "sweater." The fleece is on the inside and the outside looks like a knitted sweater. All of their products are made well and I get the maximum amount of wear out of them because I am pretty rough on them. I was afraid that I if I was doing yard work, and a nasty branch grabbed me, the jacket would have a permanent "pull." Therefore, I returned it and purchased a classic mountain fleece instead. I gave it four stars without really wearing it, but, it's still a great jacket.

Great jacket that fits perfectly. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is due to the side pocket zippers not having a strong enough grip of the zipper teeth - both pocket zippers came apart at the bottom when fully unzipped and I noticed there is no "catch" at the end to prevent them from separating. I've had to re-attach both of them and need to be careful not to fully unzip or put pressure on them when opened. Will probably need to put a pin or something in to stop this from happening.

For my just under 5-foot frame this fits a little differently than the one I purchased a year ago. The collar, which stands up, is a little taller, the back of the jacket dips down, and it's overall a little slimmer. I like the older one better but this one is just as warm and cozy and I like the color a lot.

Would have preferred not to have your logo on the front...hinders using this for a dressier look

I'm glad this jacket comes in Tall, the arms are long enough. The zippers are flimsy, especially on the pockets. But I like the weight and fit.

The blue color of this sweater fleece jacket is extraordinary. As other reviewers commented, the pockets are white and show if the jacket is unzipped. The second issue, for me, with the pockets is that the polyester material used to form the pockets is not tactilely pleasant. I often have rough hands from gardening outdoors. My hands do not glide into the pockets of this sweater, they haltingly catch on everything. It is really annoying. Once I replace the pockets with a better color and material, all should be well.

Ordered this to wear at work in a hospital where it's pretty cold. I only wish I had ordered a size up. I am 5'7, 160 and the large is pretty snug. It's a good jacket though and a lot of people have bought one since they like the look of mine.

I have several of these jackets - Love them. But won't be buying more right now because I do not like the placement of the LLBean label on the chest. It used to be (more appropriately in my opinion) at the hip. Please consider going back to that placement. Thanks,

Love this jacket! I decided to buy a second one. The sizing, however, was not consistent! Darn. The brown raisin in large fit me perfectly so I ordered the field rose in large as well but it was huge and stretched out around the waist. I will return it and try again, hoping it was a defect. For reference I am 5'6" and 125 pounds. I like things to be a bit roomy for layering and the brown raisin fit perfectly! I hope the second field rose will fit well and the first one that arrived was a defect. I also did order the pullover in the same line and the large was also perfect!

I like Bean's sweater jackets. They've comfortable, stylish, and versatile. The fit is true to size. I have a muted purple one from a previous season. While I very much like the raisin brown color of this jacket, I don't care for the pink trim. I decided to return it.

I really love this jacket. However, I got the royal blue, and the liners of the pockets are white. So, unless the pockets are always zipped closed, the white liners show badly. Not a good look.
