Cozy, can be layered, compact, great for travel, stylish for young and old

Loved the fit and style. I returned only because the collar was too stiff and would have preferred a relaxed collar that laid nicely. I purchased a neutral color to wear in an office environment to toss over what ever I was wearing because I'm always cold. Would have kept the sweater had it not been for the collar. I would still recommend as I'm sure the collar is made for outdoor wear.

Love the color and the zip pockets! I am between a petite medium & a petite large so I got the petite large. The collar sticks up more than I would like, but I can always tack it down if necessary. I also have it in off-white in a petite medium, I just leave it unzipped for comfort. Both are closet staples.

I have had an over-the-head sweater fleece for years and loved the warmth indoors and out. I also liked the bright blue color and decided to get a zip-front sweater fleece jacket in Arctic Blue. It's comfortable and has a slightly shaped trim fit, quite different from the casual bagginess of the quarter snap version. The sleeves were super-long, but I found someone shorten them and replace the elestic trim - all good! I would rate the fleece 5 stars for sure, except for the white pocket lining. If you unzip the pockets, there is the ining, looking so out of place. When the jacket is open, the white ining also appears. I read this comment in earlier reviews but figured how bad could it be! Bad enough that if I were considering buying the jacket again, I would ask customer service about the white lining. Much as I love this jacket, I wouldn't buy one with white pockets. Incidentally, theI over-the-head has grey lining the kangaroo pocket, and it looks fine. Perhaps LL Bean will switch to a similar shade. Hope so as this is a great jacket!

This jacket is well made and is what I was looking for. The color is nice, fabric soft, zippers work well, the longer back is a plus. The upper section of the sleeves is a bit too fitted for what I normally like in this kind of fleece jacket but I believe it will work for my use.

Overall it is a nice jacket. However when you order a plus size, the upper arm of the jacket needs to be looser. It fits, but it would be more comfortable if the upper arm had more material so when you wear something underneath the jacket the arms aren't so tight. Additionally, there should be a draw cord on the bottom of the jacket to customize the fit and block wind. The jacket at the bottom hangs loose below your waist which is not ideal.

I ordered this jacket in xl tall and it fit perfectly.For reference I'm 5'11" 190 lb. I chose the iris mauve and got several compliments. It is slenderizing and has an upscale look, particularly with the upturned collar and the back being a bit longer. Love the deep zippered side pockets but the sleeve pocket is just big enough for a car key. One caveat--the sleeves are somewhat tight, so if you have heavy arms or wear a bulky sweater it may not fit well. For me it's fine with a long sleeved tee.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Spain and Portugal that I think will be more upscale than a sweatshirt. It's very warm and I think it will be perfect. Like other reviewers have said, the collar is a little annoying because it's pretty stiff and doesn't lie down easily. The arms are fairly tight. I don't think I could wear a sweater under it, but I'm probably going to just wear t-shirts. I love the long length in back. I got the coral color on sale and I like it.

Very nice and comfortable, but I have problems with the lining wanting to pull at any sweater I may have on under it when removing the jacket.

This jacket was larger than the petite small one I received for Christmas. I ordered the second one because the first one fit perfectly.

I bought this for an upcoming trip abroad. It was perfect except that the sleeves were so long that I had to roll them twice. It was not a good look. I love the zipper pocket on the upper arm. It makes a great mid-weight topper. I had to send it back for the sleeves.

This is a very nice jacket; pretty blue, nicely styled, and well constructed. The material was a little too stiff for me and I knew it would bother me. After some deliberation I returned it.

The fit of the top of the jacket is great; the bottom half doesn't seem to know what it wants to do ~ a little messy-looking. I especially don't like that the pockets, inside, are WHITE! Unless jacket is completely zipped, including both pockets, this white is contrasting to the lovely blue.

I wanted something a little more dressed up than my zip up fleece jacket. This fit the bill. Warm enough for Spring/Fall weather and many choices in color. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the sleeves are way too long. This detracts from the style.

Size: I guess I shall order one size smaller. Texture: I expect it would be thicker

The mountain red is an outstanding shade of red for winter months. I got the tall and at 5'9" I find the length perfect. Only negative is the collar is scratchy if not wearing a turtleneck. A competitors similar sweater has a nice soft lining inside the collar. I wish LLBean would do the same.

This is a nice, warm jacket but small for a size small, especially if you want to layer. I fine it tighter in the armpits. I usually wear a small or xs in Bean tops.

I loved the jacket, however it does run small. I normally wear a medium, but this jacket was too tight. I am sending it back.

I am 5'7.5" and 150 lbs at age 60. I first ordered a medium then returned it for a large. This fit well and allowed for more room including a light sweater to be worn underneath. It's warm, looks nicer than a fleece, and the sage green is the perfect color for warm winter or cool spring.

I loved this jacket but it's not designed for a lady who needs a little extra room in the chest area. Returned. :-(

Love this jacket and color is great. The fit is good. The only thing I don't like is the white pockets. Should have been blue or black. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star.

Really nice piece...only reason I gave it 4 stars, was because of the really cheap, sewn on Bean patch front and center on the chest. Should be nicely embroidered, or at least tonal!!

Nice and warm! I will wear it more this Spring/Summer. only layer a thin shirt or tank top under it.

I think the jacket is warm and attractive and a nice color. It would fit me better if it weren't fitted at the waist. Fleece Jackets are better loose.
