I bought the sawtooth X bdry after seeing them first on REI website. The style, color is what caught my eye. I wanted a sturdy boot that is waterproof and a great sole with good grip. The description checked all the boxes. My husband bought these for a Christmas present directly from Oboz. They are even better looking in person. The fit is perfect and super sturdy. I can't wait to take my first hike.

I just got a pair of sawtooth X mid waterproof hiking shoes for christmas. I love them, they were comfortable right out of the box. I've been walking around town and hitting some easy trails with these. Haven't worn hiking shoes for awhile due to knee and hip replacements and wanted to be sure they were broken in before I hit some harder trails. They've mostly been in the rain or sloppy snow and my feet have stayed dried. I love the comfort and support they provide.

The women's sawtooth x mid waterproof is my favorite go-to hiking boot. I have been happily wearing them for years. I keep three pairs and rotate them for hiking, replacing one each year. I have a high instep and a wider foot and they fit perfectly. I was surprised to see the new shoelaces this time. They are much shorter than they have been and feel very thin and flimsy. I'm concerned they will break every time I tighten the boots. Please go back to the regular hiking boot shoelaces.

Ordered the Sawtooth X because I thought it was an upgrade form my old Sawtooth boots. Tried it around the house and liked the athletic fit. However, after testing it again for longer on day 2, I started to experience rubbing around my ankle from the top of suede tongue of the shoe. (The reason for the 4 stars) I am returning for this reason and am going back to order the Sawtooth 2 with the softer, more cushioned tongue.

The lace eye on the inside of the ankle poked through to my ankle. Otherwise it would have been an ideal fit.

I had been wearing the Merrel Moab for decades. I am so happy with these Oboz! I've only done one hike of about 5 miles, but no break in required. Really nice fit, comfy footbed.

I am impressed with the size consistency in every pair of shoes from your company. I have several pairs of Oboz and all are high quality with great fit. I have wide feet. I also have a reconstructed ankle. I have Sawtooth X Waterproof in low. I wanted more ankle support and ordered the Sawtooth X Mid, it was as if my lows gained height.

I purchased by first pair ever of Oboz shoes. The fitting on the foot is secure, however, I have had a TERRIBLE experience with the overall support of the shoe. I wore the shoes one time for about 2 hours, and my calves, knees, quads and lower back were aching for hours following. I typically do not have body aches, and I wear a shoe insert for support, which I also did with this shoe. I'm not sure why this happened? I realize I cannot get a refund for the shoes because I wore them. They are a women's size 12. I don't have anyone I know who can wear the shoes. Do you have any use for using these shoes for materials if I donate to your company. Unfortunately, I won't be buying any more Oboz shoes,

I have two pair of Oboz boots, the 800 and 400 gram. They fit wonderfully. These Sawtooth not so much. Pads of feet ache after only 7 miles and right little toe rubs. As always I did order W. Wont be buying another pair of these. Having said that I love and highly recommend the Bridger 9 Insulated and the Bridger 7 Insulated boots.

Fantastic! No bruised toes with toe nails falling off and so comfy that there was not even a break-in period of time required before out & about adventuring. And I appreciate the great traction on slippery gravely hillsides.

I think I’m between 10.5 and 11. I got 11, but the top breaks right over where the ball of your foot bends. Otherwise they were awesome. I’m trying a 10.5 which is my normal size, but I think the consensus was that these ran small. Not so. I HOPE I can find the right match bc I love the structure of this brand vs Merrill which is not as rugged.

A good sturdy boot that has been fairly easy to break in. Going on a major hiking trip in 2 weeks. At first they were quite stiff, and except for one small heel blister, the boots performed well on a 13 mile AT hike. Will update after my trip.

I got the woman's size 6 wide and it fits great as I have small sorta wide feet. I usually wear youth size 5/woman's 6-6.5 shoes. (Crocs size 4 -6 if that helps). There doesn't seem to be a strong arch, and that works well for me. Awesome traction, I've been wearing them for 6 months and only slipped and fell once (and that was completely my own fault). I work as a steward outdoors, biking and walking a lot. The shores feel lightweight and tough. I used to wear an old hand me down pair of Asolo's that were amazing, but these are pretty great as well. Waterproof is still holding up. I've gone through a few downpours and puddles and the feet stayed dry. Expensive but worth it. I'd recommend trying them on in a store, as everyone's feet are different.

I was ecstatic when I tried these boots on, immediately I thought I would be a life-long Oboz customer. I tested them in the store and around my house, they were the most comfortable, supportive hiking boots that I have found. Little did I know that 3-4 miles into every single hike the boots would start rubbing and my feet would be in pain. I've tried a multitude of different socks, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm giving the boots one more chance and sadly I'll need to cut my losses if they still hurt my feet. It's unfortunate that I spent my hard-earned money on these expensive hiking boots. Super disappointed in Oboz customer service, they do not have a solution for me.

I was prepared to love them, but they don't stretch out at all, even after weeks of wearing. The ankle fits like a dream. I love it. But the wide is simply not wide enough. I had them stretched at REI today, but was warned that they may just retreat to their original size due to the nature of the material. The arch support is good, but so pronounced that it lifted my toes in to a position that is not relaxed. I was surprised that they hurt after only a mile of walking. There seems to be a little too much lift under the ball of the foot. I just retired 10 year old Lowas and was hoping that the OBOZ would be a good replacement, but they aren't. I never thought I'd say there's too much arch support, but there is, and they're not wide enough in the toe box. I don't wear Keens anymore because they've gone so far down in quality. They fit like a shoe box now instead of a shoe but at least they understand what a wide tow box should be. Also, the waterproof OBOZ are HOT.
