Am a big fan of the Sawtooth II and was wondering how the new Sawtooth X would fair against it. I must say that the new Sawtooth X is a great evolution of the previous versions. Its very comfortable and offers great grip on various terrain. The fit feels locked.

Great shoes. So far they have held up to mud, snow, and rain. Comfortable and dry feet even though they are little heavier than my Merrell's. The only problem is one little design flaw: the hooks for your laces at the top of the shoe are designed in a way that, if you're in a rush, you will miss the hook. It's annoying and the only reason I bumped these down a star.

Definitely not what I thought I ordered but decided to keep them. The laces were too long and holes too small for most new laces. Hard to tighten laces. Heavier overall. More "plastic" upper. Not as narrow as last pair (main reason I bought Oboz).

I got my sawtooth x mids about 2 years ago. Since then, they have helped me working as a field medic for sporting events, hiking with the family and even competing in Spartan Races. They have kept my feet remarkably comfortable and dry. Even after being submerged, and 10 miles of running, my feet were almost completely dry. They have fantastic traction control in all weather conditions. I am looking forward to my next pair.

Great boot, well made, but not wide enough in the toe box. I wish it was and would have kept them. Great looking too.

My second pair, the first pair is still around after almost 10 years but it was definitely time to replace them. My original Sawtooth's were the best hiking shoes I have ever owned so decided to buy another pair. The new Sawtooth X is even better so far, more comfortable and built the same way! When I first got them I was eager to see how they felt so put them on with bare feet and walked around the house. They felt like slippers yet did't give and offered support. I have some good hikes coming up so was eager to break them in and proceeded to wear them with thin, low cut socks (I live in Florida) for two days. I have worn them all day and been on my feet all day both days. They still feel like slippers! This is why I bought my second pair of these shoes and when I need another pair of hiking boots? They will be Oboz again! They make the best boots I have ever had or seen, they last, are incredibly comfortable and offer all the support you may want (please choose your shoe accordingly!)

well made and quite comfortable boot, they fit a little snug but keep your foot in place very well. the boots have a lot of tread so the traction is great for rocky and muddy terrain. shipping was quick and came in undamaged.

The Sawtooth II Mid B-Dry hiking boots were the favorite boot I had found. I wear them everyday and have gone though a pair every year. I wanted to buy an additional pair in another color, but I found that it had been replaced by the Sawtooth X. I was hopeful this was a simple revision with some improvements, but this ended up not being the case. Directly comparing, I would say the Sawtooth X doesn't have the same build quality and it fits my foot completely different. The flat laces are not as robust and they are way too short. These are not boot laces! The very first time I was putting the shoes on the lace snagged on one of the hook eyelets and started to fray. I certainly wish they had kept the original as everyone I know (several friends wear them) like them a lot. I'll be attempting to return these, and see if the Bridger Mid is a better option.

These were bought as a gift, they arrived very late. I own a pair myself and suggested my husband try Oboz, as I love my pair. My husband likes them, says they are sturdy and comfortable, without trying them on at a store, they fit perfectly. They keep his feet dry, and protect his feet and ankles. Worth the wait

I like these boots, the top lacing system is easy to use and they are good quality. The only reason I did not rate them higher is the top of the right boot rubs on my leg above the ankle and is uncomfortable. Not sure if it is a design flaw of defective boot.

Very uncomfortable for me, the insoles were too hard, Not cushiony at all. 12 EE fits well with most boots but these were still tight.

Not the most comfortable boot. Size and quality are good. It feels really good to take them off by the end of the day.

Like I said, the best fitting shoe all around. I am disappointed though of the outer quality. After two weeks of wear, the thin layer of black rubber sides is peeling off.

I bought these because I had an older model for six years and wanted to replace them. These however are designed differently. Where the plug would be(top of toe area) it's solid suede. After walking in them a bit that area develops a permanent fold downward. Which painfully rubbed on the top of my two smaller toes. I did two big hikes in them and had to return them.

For the money, I expected these shoes to be comfortable from the start, but that is not what I experienced. They were overly stiff and the insoles hurt my feet. I bought them for a trip to Europe which would require a lot of walking, but I decided not to take them on account of how uncomfortable they were. I had to buy some high performance insoles to make the wearing of these shoes bearable. I am a big fan of LL Bean clothing but these shoes did not measure up to my usual experience with LL Bean merchandise.

The edging of the left boot tongue grinds painfully into the top of my ankle in one spot. The right boot is fine. Fit & width of boots are otherwise as advertised and fit perfectly. I've tried every possible manipulation of tongue placement & lacing to no avail. I'm hoping they'll "break in" & the problem will go away, otherwise I've wasted a lot of money on a pair of boots I can't hike in. Frustrated & disappointed.
