With the tote bag, I can put my laptop, camera, and other stuff when I went to seminar. Also, I can put everything I need when I went out with my kid. It is really good and the only shortcoming is it should be able to add additional pockets outside the bag, and that would be very useful to store such as tissue, notebook, or any not so fragile things.

This is a quality product, it's clearly been thoughtfully designed and well put together, it just doesn't do it for me. After I bought a medium peak design sling, I got the tote for when I had more to carry. The bag, while being larger than the 6L sling doesn't actually feel that much bigger. Maybe if I still carried around a 5D I'd appreciate all the thoughtfulness around camera/ tech carry, but ever since I switched to mirrorless, I need far less room and all the structure is wasted on the rest of my belongings. Because the bag is supposed to be protective for camera gear, it's too stiff for things like my water bottle, book, jacket, journal, pens and I feel like I run out of room too easily. It's also very heavy empty and will not squish down when only half full. It's a great bag for the right person and I just don't think I'm that person. The flaps are always snapping down on my fingers and the internal structure isn't so flexible. I'm better off with the field pouch for my little Fuji kit in a lighter bag.

I really like how this bag looks and the versatility of it. Would've given it a 5 star if the opening was easier open. It has pretty big capacity but I kind of have to push the sides of the bag and the opening to put larger items (I.e jackets) in the bag.

Good looking Tote with all the right pockets. This is my bring anywhere bag. My request is for a bigger capacity Tote for overnight trips

For me, to have a space for a bottle of water when I work is indispensable. it would have been enough to make the pocket deeper, as in version one. The quality of the material is excellent and the system works well. I would have padded the handles more, really simple. But overall it's a great product. and I had so many bags. it's the second peak design bag I buy

The main opening is a bit too tight, better to make it wider.
I would love to see there is a place to store The long shoulder strap .
I made my modifications. I will let you see it from my uploaded photo~

I am big on bags that pack away into a small footprint for storage and this bag really fits the bill. When not in use it fits in my hand with ease. It also fits nicely in my car, my purse, or another bag without causing a bulge. When open it can be used instead of a purse or other carry all. It is very roomy for its size. In fact the only thing I would improve is the volume it will include when open. It is a little small for some things. Perhaps a medium and a large size would compliment the original size. Even the original size is great to keep with you for those quick trips to the camera store when you want to keep that new lens incognito in the van.

Bought this tote in November to use for my carry on bag on my future flights. Bag is everything I expected and what was reviewed online. Customer service was very swift as I needed the dividers to be replaced as they were frayed when I unboxed my tote. Great service and PD stand by their statement with full warranty.

The quality of the bag is great, very sturdy, very protective. Built to last forever, beautiful design. I love how the top flap folds over. It's a good option if your first priority is carrying around camera gear and that's it and you don't need to access it very often.
I struggle with its usability as a convenient every day bag. The top is super tight and pretty narrow making it hard to get stuff in and out. I know there is capacity at the bottom of the bag, but it's hard to get to it from the tight top. My normal-size work laptop needs a bit of finagling to get it crammed in there. The side pockets are great, but too small for all of my normal, quick-access stuff (small wallet, headphones, keys, phone, lip balm, etc). And I'd love to have a couple more pockets inside for small stuff. I'm bummed because I wanted to love this bag, but it's just not convenient for everyday.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Is it too much to ask of Zappo's to include measurements of this tote, or at least a photo of it styled on a mannequin, so we can get an idea of the size??

I was traveling for a two week work trip and wanted something suitable for business/tech/photography in the form of a tote. The various carrying ways are well thought-out in addition to carry-on band. The usual flex dividers, additional straps for anchoring bigger items and smaller form factor is welcomed.
The main concern is 13" is quite limiting as my work laptop is 14" and MacBook 13". My only option is to carry it in the internal compartment but even so when the laptop, many pockets are used it eats into the main capacity. There is a stiffness and tightening of the back thereby making main compartment after laptop, cables, water bottle included it about fills the bag up.
The materials do feel durable, sturdy and light.

There are some really cool things with this bag. I like the magnetic closures they are really handy especially if you are in an airport where you open and close repeatedly and may forget a zipper open.
The main flaw for me was the design, I felt the bah too deep and the opening not wide enough. I had PeakDesign toiletries bag in there and only glasses, phone, travel documents in the outside pocket. Still the bag was bulging and it was hard to actually use it comfortably. Placing things in the outside pockets meant the opening was even smaller than it is. It's same shame as this would have had a lot of potential.

Unfortunately the weight distribution is horrendous on the shoulder. It carries a LOT but your body will suffer if you use that space.

I originally bought this as a potential diaper bag for our newborn, but this was impractical. The opening is very stiff, and the magnet closure causes premature closing. Also, the compartment is quite deep. Combined with the narrow opening, it is hard to rummage through the bag for smaller items. I then began to use this as my daily carry for work, and it works well for larger items. However, it is not ideal for larger items like cameras and laptops that need constant access. I like the pockets and internal storage though.

Actually I love this brand so much, my 5th bag.
But this make me very dissapointed.
1. gets durty so very quick!
2. not comfortable on the shoulder - as all zips are (i dont know why) unloacking not naturaly (movement of the hand from top moving back)
here to take the key out, I have to stop using phone, put all other extra bags down, than unlock th pocket with 2 hands, find the key that is aattached to the back in the other side, and then unlock the dooe.
3. Plust it is really not that compact inside- UI can tell I coudnt manage to use it without regret every day.
much better than the man's one, so I am using the other back of my husband instead of this.
But I thought it would be super handy as others. But not

Having owned and used a travel backpack from PD for several years, I was looking to upgrade my travel tote to another PD product and excitedly looked forward to this tote! Dang, what a disappointment! The material is rough like sharkskin and just trying on the tote abraded my micro fleece jacket and was immediately covered in purple fibers. Luckily, it's not my favorite item of clothing, but there is no way this tote will be kind to my merino, cashmere, alpaca, and other natural fiber clothing, especially over several hours or days pop use.
It's also really difficult to pop off the strap hooks from the loops, something to consider if your hands are aging, as mine are. It would be really challenging to have to adjust straps on the fly, laden with a travel backpack, jacket, packages, etc.
The outer pockets are rather shallow, so not as useful as I would have liked for quickly stashing travel documents, a book, pamphlets, etc. They would be great for keys, cords, or other really small items, but that's about all.
I didn't even bother to try putting my laptop inside, as just moving around the dividers around the interior caused more of my fleece jacket to be pulled off by the material and I gave up.
Sorry, I really wanted to love this, but it is going back. I won't be exchanging it for another Peak product that uses this material either. See the photo for my purple jacket fibers on the lovely ivory tote.

I really wanted to love this bag. The design details are so innovative! But the tote just doesn't work. The main compartment is a STRUGGLE to open, and the magnets keep snapping close when I try to put things inside. It's also difficult to put things into the front and back pockets, which are very shallow and tight. I do love how the bag is lightweight while still being structured, the handles and crossbody strap are comfortable (and the strap is so easily adjustable), the zippers and magnetic closures are good quality, and the key leash, extra straps, and velcro dividers are funbut it doesn't matter if I can't easily open the bag. Also, the material seems to attract dust, and the laptop sleeve is a tight squeeze for my tiny (old) 11" MacBook Air. It may work as a camera bag, but I will have to return it and continue my search for a commuter bag.

Let me first state that I am a huge fan of Peak Design, have been for a few years now, and own several products from their lines. This was my latest purchase, and I am disappointed with the quality and it's definitely below the standard of Peak Design products that I am used to.
The bag is way too small and the magnetic closure prevents any chance for you to put anything in the bag before it snaps close. There is barely enough space in the bag to put anything worth to carry a day's worth of items. On the outside of the bag, the front pocket is a smart idea, but the execution is poor. The interior pockets are way too small to store anything of importance, and the magnetic closure is flimsy. Furthermore, the back pocket does not have any secure zip to close it up.
The straps of the tote are not removable, only the crossbody handle is. I would advise that if you were looking for a primarily crossbody tote bag like I was, I would avoid this because the straps are stuck down the sides and very annoying.
The pros of this bag is the ingenious straps that you can strap anything from a jacket to a yoga mat to. I like the sleek and clean look of the bag overall, however I find it quite impractical to use. Furthermore, the supposed dividers they provide are quite useless to me, I find it hard to believe that they are used on a daily basis, and often times it just gets in my way.
