I bought this product for golf. Particularly for wet weather. It has worked out well. The dole grip is perfect for golf. I did notice after wearing them for 5-6 times that the inside of heel already has hole. I've seen this with other Peregrine shoes. This is my third pair because they are very comfortable.

Great trail running shoes. I like the design and style. I have been using them for winter running for 5-10k in -20C , and they are . The grip on the shoes is stable. Am still breaking them but I find the cushioning could be improved, nicer on the trail but hard on the foot when running on road and sidewalk surfaces.

A handsome pair, great for the rain. A bit stiff and they require some breaking in. I actually got blisters on my heels upon first wearing because I didn't take it slow. Not fun. But now the shoes work well.

Poor SupportGreat Support
Great fit and comfort with a good design. However, the plastic heal support has torn through fabric and broken 5 months in and has never been as water resistant as the GoreTex brand that it advertises should be and has actually gotten worse. It’s wicking completely through in seconds and toe box of socks become completely wet. I also have a pair of North Face that are GoreTex that are three years old & are completely dry to this day. I should be able to return these for the price that I paid and the lack of apparent durability & defect that’s present.

Nice shoes but after a couple of miles the lugs put too much pressure on the middle of the forefoot

Too light on the cushioning for long runs, but great soles for gripping trail terrain

I own the Peregrine 11 GTX and love them. I purchased these hoping they would be equally fantastic but they aren't. The material doesn't seem strong and the shoe fit is different. The Peregrine 12 GTX seems to be a taller shoe and doesn't fit quite as snug as the Peregrine 11 GTX.

Pair just arrived. I tried shoe with both standard insoles and my own custom orthotics. In both bases, the width is too narrow (similar to Salomon or Arcteryx shoes), plus slight heel lift which will likely cause blisters. Nice looking show but unfortunately will be returning shoe.

Nice shoes but they seemed to make my feet pronate.

I just bought these shoes for walking in winter condition. Very disappointed, they are very slippery. We just had snow and a bit of ice on the street, could hardly walk with them. Confortable, keeping my feet dry, but to dangerous to walk with them. Should have bought the Ice+.

I hoped to like these and was not impressed. I liked the look as they would have been great for casual wear and the occasional light hike I was planning to use them for, but that was the only thing I liked about them. I love my peregrine 11s and have even bought the gtx version which is also great. The fit of the 12 is much worse. The toe box feels much narrower. There is pronounced cushioning at the Achilles that feels like 2 balls poking into my achilles. The tongue is too thin and creates a point of discomfort in how it contacted my skin, with taller socks perhaps it would have been fine, but not with lower socks. For me these were one of those pairs that you instantly hate.

I've been running for 1000's miles in the Peregrine standard and bought the GTX for winter and the spring thaw. The first run was 5 miles and I noticed some hot spots on my heels. I did another run but taped those spots. I went on a 20 mile run and they shredded my upper heal area on the outside on both feet. I can't run in them anymore. So sad. I really likes everything else about them.

Not a comfortable pair of shoes at all. The insoles are terrible and the to of the heel digs into my foot to causing blisters.

The sole of the shoe is coming off after less than a week of use. I was expecting better quality.

I started wearing mine about a month ago, shoes are comfortable but not the greatest for cold wet conditions.

Chose the Charcoal/Black Peregrine 12 GTX. The charcoal color was a LOT lighter than the website photo, which was disappointing. It was more like a light gray. They also felt a lot wider than the Peregrine 11 GTX, probably due to them being a thinner gore-tex material and lacking the padding and support of previous version. It seems that the style has changed from streamlined to bulky. I have a narrow foot, and Peregrines always seemed to work for me, but this current version I cannot recommend.

the soles are hard, the inside heel is almost bare and feels like you are getting blisters regardless of type of use.
