I use this as a summer work shirt and as a hiking / backpacking shirt. It breathes and absorbs and wicks the sweat very well. In fact, this shirt wicks and dries and stays odor free so well that you might forget to change out of it at the end of the day!

This is a wonderful T-shirt with long sleeves. We lost power in my house in San Jose for more than a day and I took a hot shower and got dressed with that T shirt As my base layer and I stayed very comfortably warm. I wish there was a way to mark your products so that when it went on sale I could be notified. If any promotions come on this product, please let me know when they occur.

Super soft. REALLY lightweight. Runs a tad big (just a smidge). I'd rather have a little big than a little small on my tops. I wear this all year round. Bought all three colors.

Really wonderful shirt. It does run large. If you wear it multiple times between washes it does stretch specifically in the cuffs and neck. Overall a great shirt would highly recommend. Whether just as an everyday shirt, yoga shirt or for fitness.

Okay, so like many here, I loved the fabric, but had trouble with the fit. I run tall, and often have to go up to an XL to fit my torso. Should have stuck to a Lg. Other than that, it was super soft, super comfortable, and felt great. I actually still have a use for it as baggy as it is, but normally I would prefer a tighter fit. #SmartwoolLove

Bought the shirt as a base layer for our upcoming May trip to Iceland. It fits well and feels cool to the skin but I can tell will also insulate. It will also fit well under other layers. Recommended.

Very breathable and dries fast but even a glancing run-in with some brambles left this:

I'll start out with saying the fabric is incredible. It's one of the softest abs most comfortable shirts I have ever worn. The fabric is also very breathable. But, the shirt runs EXTREMELY large. I had ordered a large (which is what I usually wear), and the shirt was extremely loose around the waist and down past my hips. Next time I would order a size smaller. #smartwoollove

Was great first wear... after washing (cold with low tumble dry) it shrank considerably so I got one good wear out of it. Now it is basically a pricey car wash rag.

Very disappointed that the material is so thin compared to the original shirts I purchase 5yrs ago. The old shirt even after washing 3day/week for 5yrs is thicker than this new shirt

Despite this shirt saying tumble dry low mine shrank almost an entire size in the wash and didn't fit anymore. My partner also commented it was so thin that it (for lack of better wording) was not acceptable to wear in public!

I own seven of these shirts, they're my go-to for warm weather hiking and running. Very comfortable, help me stay cool and protect from the sun. Only problem is durability; I have several that lasted me about a year and then developed small holes. Not ideal, but for the amount of use I got from them it felt ok. So I purchased a new shirt as replacement a few months ago, and the new one developed a hole after just two times wearing / washing it. I'm definitely not ok with that. Bummer, but I will switch to a different brand and see if they are more durable. Can't spend this kind of money on a shirt that only lasts a few weeks.

I heeded the site indications to downsize and bought Small rather than Medium, only to receive an S the size of Large.. There's something very wrong with the design or labeling of this product which makes me doubt the professionalism of Smartwool.

I was genuinely excited to try this merino product. When it arrived, I was impressed by how soft and lightweight it felt. However, I was shocked by what happened after the first wash. Despite following the care instructions and using the delicate cycle, the fabric was completely destroyed - please see the photos. One of the sleeves ripped apart entirely. I've never experienced anything like this with any of my other gear, including other merino and technical clothing. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality and durability of this item and, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. I expect the support team might suggest I did something wrong or that this result is unusualbut I've washed plenty of similar items before, and nothing like this has ever happened.

Backpack straps wore holes through the fabric after 5-6 wears. Not suitable for hiking or anything slightly abrasive. Shame, otherwise it was a great shirt.

The shirt is fine. but I didn't get the 15% discount for signing up for emails or the free socks that were supposed to come with an order over $150. Terrible customer service, I will never buy from them again.
