This is a two part review with the third in the coming weeks The Lone Peak 6 Day one Wow!! I sure do love these shoes. Finally had a chance to break these suckers in. The Lone Peak 6. This is what I'm talking about, feeling the earth beneath your feet without unnecessary foot pain. The toe box had the perfect room for the natural splaying for my toes. It also felt like a pillow in there. Aka there was a party in my shoe Rain is on the way and it's time to turn these shoes the color they should be....brown. Let's see how these shoes handle the rain. The mud review Remember the slip and slide? That was what this was like. And it worked magic because I had these new shoes,
The Lone Peak 6 .Part Two
I still can't find any fault with this upgrade, the drainage worked in balance with what goes in must come out. This is important in so many ways, especially today since the water was cold. added in the luxurious mud. Though I did slip and slid alot, the structure of the shoe kept me upright and not on the ground where sometimes I find myself when the mud and shoe do not agree. I have so much to say about these awesome shoes and will update again at mile 50 or so. Altra thanks for inspiring confidence yet again . To be continued

I think these are the best Lone Peaks to date! I was worried that they might be narrower and have less of a toe box from previous versions but was very pleasantly surprised. The toe box actually feels a bit wider than my beloved 4.5's which is awesome. The Ego midsole is a huge improvement. They are more cushioning but not clunky at all. The lacing design change is sharp. The shoe feels more substantial than previous versions but it is noticeably lighter.
I wear them to the gym and Lone Peaks are my go to hiking shoes. I love them!

These are oddly large in the toe box area, but I kinda like that because I have fat feet. I've only worn them once and while I don't LOVE them, and I don't dislike them enough to return. I wish they had more arch support. I'll probably end up replacing the insert they came with for a thicker one.

I've been using these as my go to on the many snowy icy days. I love the grippy feel , I can run through sections that are iced with confidence. They feel a little heavier on my foot but thats ok. New to zero drop, I like it so far. Can feel my legs are stronger and zero pains or strains on knees. You might feel more in your calves to start. Big fan of the wide toe box, also like the soft heel ,comfortable .

Bought my first Altra shoes. It was like walking on clouds. I bought my second, third and fourth pair. Noticed LP6 only lasted 3 months and the soles were worn out and fabric wasn't sturdy. Saw other comments and I feel like I'm not the only one experiencing this same issue. I swear I'll buy a cheaper pair if it last just as long.

This style of Altra was not for me. Not as wide enough in the toe box and not enough cushioning for me. I am not a runner, but I do walk 5 miles a day and I don't think this style has enough cushioning for me. I did only take 5 or 6 steps before coming to my conclusion. I love the Lone Peak Alpine (first time buyer of Altra and def hooked) and thought this shoe would fit similarly.

The lone peak 6 feels like a higher volume shoe than the 5 so does not support me as well:(. You had it perfect with the womens wide lone oeak 5. Wish u would stick with the 5 and not keep changing the shoe. They are miracle shoes for my feet and allow me to hike, backpack etc without blisters

I've been enjoying the shoe because it's comfortable, lightweight, and versatile. I was excited that they would be a little better than my old Lone Peaks. The fit of these was a little larger than my old pair. BUT! I've never had a pair of shoes fall apart SO quickly with so little use. Within the first month using them there are holes. I'm not an avid runner or hiker, and don't wear these every day, maybe once a week max this summer. There are 4 holes in my shoes. I don't typically wear gear out fast, so this is new to me. I'm bummed because I feel as if I've just started to use them! Hoping it's just a bad pair. Besides the shoddy durability love the shoe and the colors.

I love these shoes and they are very comfortable. I bought them in October 2022 and they are falling apart by midNovember 2022. I use them for hiking and walking. The heel area is ripped on both shoes. Trim is lifting by the sole. So disappointed. For the money they should last a lot longer.

These shoes don't hold up. The fabric wears through within 3 months of normal use. They're comfortable and look nice, but who can afford to buy a new pair of shoes 4x a year?? Disappointing!

I have bunions and gout in my two big toe joints and my podiatrist proposed surgery. If I ONLY wear my Altra Lone Peak 6 and my Teva sandals, I have NO PROBLEMS with my toe joints. This makes me SO HAPPY. I wish I had bought ten pairs of these. I was also starting to have problems with my ankles and knees (probably compensating for the toes). When I wear ONLY MY Altra Lone Peak 6 and my Teva sandals, my ankles and knees have no complaints. These shoes ARE LIFE-CHANGING for me and will prevent my need for surgery for many year to come IF I can still buy shoes that are like these.

I go trail running 4-6 times a week and do not want to wear any other shoe! Amazing fit with room for when your feet swell, beautiful colors (unlike the Lone Peak 7s), and my Lone Peaks have lasted hundreds of miles with only small degradations. I bought four pairs before it ran out of stock and would buy more if I could.

Extremely comfortable, and orthotic friendly. I use them as everyday shoes. I thought my Brooks were good until I tried these. The more neutral sole on the Altra somehow is easier on my hips than the running type shoe. I put these in washing machine periodically and they come put looking like new.

Great to make the transition to "barefoot" style. I love the wide toe box without making the entire shoe too wide. Again, though, I ordered same style in 2 colors and the white/green is wonderful, but the blue does not feel the same and has weird bunching near the heel.

This is my second pair of Lone Peaks, my 4th pair of Altras. Would you believe the others were 2's? I originally got the 2's for a mud run; they fit perfectly, broke in easily, and have long since been relegated to basic kicks. After a long period of inactivity, I'm back to training (baby steps), and needed new trail runners. These brought back memories of the first few times wearing the 2's. Comfy, just the right cushioning, zero drop, and the big toe box. Did I mention the big toe box?

Love my Altras. I have six pairs. And I love them all. Great fit. Awesome colors. Soooo comfy. I wear the standard size ones. I had a stress fracture last year and foot Dr complimented me on my good choice of shoes. Will be buying more!

I have a wide foot and hammer toe so the generous width of shoe and toebox is excellent. I tried another brand of "wide toe box" shoes and they were not! Altra Lone Peak has the best foot shapped shoe available. This is my 2nd purchase of this same shoe and just love them. The cute "bear paw" print on the sole is fun when people notice it too!
