These slippers are very cute and well made, but my three-year old cannot put them on himself because the opening is so small. Even I had trouble stuffing his medium-width foot into size 9/10 dinosaur slippers. I returned them and ordered the next larger size. The size 11/12 slippers are a bit long and nearly as hard to put on.

Loved these slippers for my grandson who absolutely loves lions! Unfortunately the elastic band is not flexible enough to allow the child's foot to enter the slipper. Too constricting. Tried next size up, but same issued occurred. Think overall it's a well made slipper and so cute. Would love it if the design team improves on the elastic band issue. Love the anti skid design. Hope I can look out for these next winter. We all love LL Bean products.

The item was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the ankle hole was too small to get the slipper on my grandson's foot. On the plus side, the item arrived the day after I ordered it and when I called customer service about the return, they waived the return fee since the shoe was unwearable. If it fit I would have kept it.

Over the holidays, I learned that the 3 pairs of these slippers that I had purchased for my grandson over the past two years had all fallen apart at the toes after just a few months of household wear.
While the bottoms are a heavy material, the toes are joined with a felt-like material that just shreds with even light wear. I am returning all three pairs that I have bought!

My son outgrew the size 5-6 bear slippers and he chose the dog slippers for the next size (7-8). However, they are tight around the ankles and very difficult to get on. This was not my prior experience with the bear slippers or the bunny slippers I purchased for my daughter years ago. I like that they come up to the ankles so that they stay on a toddler. I don't like that I worry about hurting his ankle or foot when getting them on. Thankfully LLBean is historically very good about returns - I plan to return them and ask whether I should exchange for another pair at the same size or try the next size up.

Very cute, but my son often removed them because his feet were sweating. If your child tends to be on the hot side, that might be an issue; they are synthetic and don't breathe, which makes them hotter, esp. with that airtight cuff. Also after one year the bear looked incredibly beat up - its face was very pilled and worn. However my mom got the puppy slippers to use at her house, and they worked out better. She keeps her house colder, they got less use, and the "face" of the puppy doesn't have the same material as the bear face, so they didn't wear and still look nice. So depending on the style you get and your situation, they might work out. The two-star rating is based on the bear. I would give it more for the puppy.

I purchased these slippers for my 2 year old grandson. I thought they were so cute, but I'm going to have to return them. The opening and knit around the opening were so small we couldn't even come close to getting his foot into the shoe. According to the shoe sizing guide, this size should have fit him.

My two year old granddaughter is going through a stage where she doesn't like socks and just wants to wear her boots. I thought from the reviews that these might work. She thought there were so cute and was so excited about her new lambie shoes until she put them on. She slid her feet in and they stayed on about 2 seconds until she took them off and threw them at her Mom. The inside stitching bothered her. BACK THEY GO. UGH!!!

These were really cute but my boys spend the winter in slippers when we are inside, and need a more streamlined and mobile slipper. These are better for lazing around, not good for toddlers and running! Exchanged them for the fleece slippers, which are great.

I just ordered the 5/6 in the moose for my 13 month old son. His foot measures at 4 3/4 inches so I ordered according to the chart (he also wears a size 5.5 shoe). The moose is extremely bulky and when I got them, they didn't even look like a moose. They were totally squished an just looked like a brown blob with antlers. The fit was "ok" length wise, not great. The width was huge! As soon as my son tried walking he was tripping over his own feet as the slippers caught each other. The bottoms also seemed to be rounded and as he walked his ankle would roll. I am sending these back. I am going to give the slippers another chance and try the yellow dog. They look more slender in the picture. It is hard to find slippers like this for young toddlers. I will post an updated review once I get the new ones. Hopefully they go better.

I hesitate to even write a negative review on any LL Bean item because I love most everything I have ever receieved. However, my son received his first pair of these slippers from his Nana and they started wearing away on the front above the rubber sole. We sent them back and purchased the same pair in one size larger in hopes that size was the issue and I am sending them back again because they have completely ripped open in the front and worn away. We will be getting plain fleece slippers for him instead. Such a shame because the animal styles are absolutely adorable!! Better luck next time!

1st pair of kitty slippers had defective stitching connecting the toe section to the sole, 2nd pair had the little tail pull off when my daughter was putting them own. Now we are trying the bunny slippers and hoping for better results.

I will be returning these slippers because they are very difficult to get on my toddler's feet. They are cute and very soft -- look well made -- just couldn't get them on. I only rated two stars because this is one of those obvious things that should have been tested in designing slippers for children.

The slippers I received are huge. Despite measuring my son's feet and consulting the size chart twice, these slippers are far too large for my son. I measured the inside of the slipper - an inch larger than the size chart says. Sadly, I will be returning these slippers, as they are unsafe for walking.
Beyond the sizing issue: these slippers look adorable, I liked the ankle cuff, and the tread is substantial.

I loved these slippers as soon as they arrived, and so did both my sons. After about two weeks of wearing them, the animal's fuzzy face started to wear off, then my oldest son's slippers got big holes in them on the bear's mouth. But my sons are very active, running all over the place. So I don't recommend them for active children, but they are so darn cute though.

I bought these slippers because the regular ones were out of stock and we had misplaced one of my grand daughters regular slippers, wanted another pair to trade with while washing. These are heavy and her feet "roll" off to the sides because of the thickness of the treads on the bottom, she won't wear them for long, just pulls them off. Shouldn't have spent the money when the ones she loves were out of stock.

Cute characters which makes my son wear it. It keeps his feet warm. The only thing I do not like about it is that the front part on the bottom of the slippers tend to wear out quickly.

I returned them. The soles are made such that the baby's feet don't always lie in the shoe correctly and you find them pronating their feet or leaning in.
With a new walker, I thought that would be harmful to the baby's development.

These are adorable and my three year old son always asks for his brown bear slippers. However, I was very disappointed by the quality. After only one month of wearing these slippers, the entire front part has fallen off, to the point where the inside is visisble. In addition, the brown bear face is all matted. I will give these adorable slippers one more chance before exchanging for something else.

Because of the thick padding of this slipper, my son's feet didn't sit straight in them but appeared to "sliding" off the padding. Didn't look comfortable to me - probably not great for his ankles, especially where he's still working on balance. I tried another pair in the store - same thing. The original pair is now in the toy box. I bought something with a simple and thin leather footing.

I bought these brown bear slippers for my grandson for Christmas '24. They were great at staying on his feet and were cute, but the sole detached and wore through by Feb. '25. He never wore them outside. I am now buying him a pair of wicked good toddler slippers. They are doing great and hopefully will last past February. I didn't write this review sooner because they were at my daughter's house. With the warm weather I hadn't replaced them until now.

A shoe is worthless if you can't get it on the child's foot. My poor grandson cried because of the force it took to try and get these on his feet, and they were plenty big enough in the foot bed. It is the design in the entrance of the slipper.
