These slippers are so soft and wonderful. They were great last winter when my daughter was a 3/4 and not yet walking. This year she's in the 5/6 and I'm noticing they are tough to get on to her fat feet. She has a thick instep, so she's at the very end of the short velcro strap. Also, moving forward, it would be helpful if there was a tab or loop on the heel to help pull them on.

Ordered a 5/6 for a 2 year old (5 is her actual with still a little room before upsizing into a 6) but due to how the tongue and Velcro strap are constructed they are fixed in place making it impossible for an adult to help let alone a 2 year old. The opening angles down like a shoe does but there is no give. I'm sending back and will try a 7/8 in hopes that will work or maybe it was a defect. Either way she wouldn't be able to wear them.

These slippers are adorable but I find them hard to get on my toddlers chubby feet! Would be helpful if they had a little more elastic for stretch when putting on

Why the heck do you put the tag on the inside? Not even a silk tag. And if I cut it, it will leave an even more annoying edge on her foot.

Soft and warm but the sizing was off by quite a bit. My grandson wears a size 5 in all of his shoes but these were way to big to keep, even to grow into. Expensive to exchange. Free returns are a standard of most non discount retailers

Loved the slipper, but it is made too tight across the instep and my little girl's skinny foot wouldn't even fit down in the toe section. Very disappointed - loved the style & the quality composition.

Not a good fit for toddlers with chubby (or just not skinny) feet. We sized up and could still barely get these on my daughter. Had to return. After reading reviews of ll bean's other toddler slippersthis seems to be a common issue with all their styles.

Purchased the 3-4 size for our one year old and couldn't remotely get his foot in them. So we brought them back to the store to exchange for a 5-6, which is wildly longer BUT the tongue of the slipper is still stitched so narrow across the top that there is zero give and we still couldn't get them on. We ended up buying the fleece slippers because they were the only style that fit properly. Pretty disappointed because my husband and I both have the wicked good moccasin slippers and wanted our son to have some to match. They're very well made, just have weird sizing.

I had to return these sweet shoes because the material around the ankle doesn't give at all, and it hurt my little ones' foot very much. She is not excessively big in any way!

I wanted to love these for my son, they seem well made. However they are much too narrow for his feet.

As others have mentioned, this shoe chokes the foot and you can't get it on. Despite buying a larger size for my son to have room to grow in length, I couldn't get the rest of his foot in the shoe past the middle of his foot, there was a bottle neck at the cross seam down in the picture. My son is 30th percentile in height and 15th percentile in weight, this should have fit. Quality seemed good though so I gave it 2 stars for that. I will be returning the product.

Super cute but couldn't even get baby's foot in it. Too narrow in the in step and no give.

My first review was not accepted, so here's another version. The area where the velcro is is so narrow, our 18 month old daughter's foot could not fit inside. Photo shows the area.

Runs very narrow! I first bought the size 3/4 but it was too narrow. I then exchanged it for a 5/6 still narrow but too long. Not worth returning costs too much in shipping.

These are very difficult to get on. They are narrow and do not open up really at all to put on.

I was so sure I would love them that I thought a pair for each of my kids. Turns out, they weren't soft on the inside. For the price, I had to send them back.

I bought these last year for my granddaughter and was so excited for her to have them this fall and winter. I have purchased the wicked good slippers for most of the adults in the family. I was so sad when I could not even come close to fitting her foot in them. Like others have said, it is just too narrow.

We loved the color and style however these slippers began falling apart after 3 months. Very poor quality.

These slippers are so cute and well made, but they are too tight over the instep and baby feet don't fit. I would love to see them re-engineered with a longer tongue as there is a strap to hold them on.

Beautiful slipper but unfortunately started unraveling after my son wore them twice. Contacted LLBean but because they were a gift and I didn't have the gift receipt anymore they were not helpful at all. Shame!

I should have listened to the other reviews. These toddler slippers are IMPOSSIBLE to get on. The opening is way too narrow, you can't get their little feet past the opening to even seeing they fit or not! And of course In the chaos of Christmas, the box was lost so I can't return them. A complete waste of money. So disappointed, LL Bean!!
