The product has worked great m. Through outdoor activities like hiking and sports. Having a lightweight hat that provides shade, doesn't hold moisture like some others, and can have the sides folded up is a major plus. I intend to purchase many more colors

I ordered the Asphalt Grey in S/M and it looks exactly like the colour on the web site. It's well constructed and sturdy and the brim is perfect, casting shadow over the face and neck. As someone who has had MOHS surgery for a basal cell on my forehead, I no longer expose my scalp or any part of my face or neck (even with sunscreen on) when I'm outside. I'm a female with a small head and this hat fits comfortably. I prefer to have the cord at the back, not the front and this works. I really like this hat and can recommend it. (I would like to take this opportunity to mention I MISS THE APHRODITE 2.0 PANTS and although I stocked up, I wish North Face would bring them back. I don't get the decision to no longer produce them.)

I bought this hat to wear in the sun when golfing or walking/hiking. I wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for but it turned out to be what I wanted. I have a ballcap that I wear as well at times but now I am covered no matter how hot the sun gets.

Haven't used in the sun yet, but it's a snug fit if you have curly hair. A more snug fit may mean hat security for large gusts of wind or unpredictable weather. Really like the color and its light weight-ness. A good purchase on when on sale

This hat runs true to size. The quality is excellent and worth every penny! I was recently out fishing in the sun all and no burn on my face. It does exactly what it says it does! North face is the place to shop!
