We live on Marco Island and love to kayak. Wore this hat for the first time on June 12 for 3 hours while out kayaking-comfortable, light, wide brim - excellent coverage! Even when you take off the hat to let it hang, the strap does not choke you! I also loved that it wasn't tight around my head and gave my ears extra coverage. The little loops around the hat are great/functional too, I hung my sunglasses in the loop when I wasn't wearing them. I purchased L/XL in red, which is more like poppy in color and GORGEOUS! We are buying more colors!

Nice hat. Covers you from sun burn on your face and neck. Very comfortable as well. I kinda wish the string on the bottom was black as well instead of white but, i'll live.

Canoeing in the sun! Build quality appears superb. It's light, airy, and adorable. No cons at the moment but I'll let you know if one comes about.

Kayaking and Canoeing. Fits well and looks great if I do say so myself. Maybe more color options would be nice.

This wonderful hat kept me shaded and cool while hiking on the slopes of California's Mt. Diablo last week. The cord was very helpful for keeping the hat on when the wind came up on the mountain slopes. I also love the print fabric!

I love how much shade the hat provides around my face and neck area. It seems breathable enough and I use it for everything that involves being outside where the sun is beaming. Great coverage. Seems durable enough and I bring it with me wherever I go just in case.

After getting my first sunburn of the season on Mt Hood, I decided to purchase the CLASS V BRIMMER hat. It's made from recycled content for sustainability, UPF 40+ and endorsed by The Skin Cancer Foundation. I have worn it twice snowboarding at Timberline - NO MORE SUNBURNS - and on a couple of hikes in the Columbia River Gorge. Even though I bought black, it still wears really cool since it's lightweight and breathable. Make the right choice and save your scalp this Summer.

This hat is the perfect combination "a bucket hat/Sun hat/hiking hat" it's light, fresh and looks cool!

great hat. wisher the brim was slightly longer but it works well for both casual and light hiking situations. i have multiples of it. the large is still a bit tight if you have a truly big head like i do.

Use this hat to go at sea... protects you really well, particularly your ears and neck.

I used this hat on The weekend because I had to do some work outside and it was our first 89 degree day, and this thing saved me from getting burned and also kept me pretty cool. As soon as I got home I told my wife I want every color this hat is amazing!

I primarily use the Class V Brimmer to stave off the Florida sun during yard work, trails, and when at the beach. It is super lightweight, packable and at times cannot even tell it is on my head. Just yesterday, my wife and I, visited Anna Marie Island where I wore the Brimmer to keep me cool, refreshed, and protected. Oh, I do like the camouflage pattern, it is just outside the pattern of what is usually seen which makes it very different from all the other Boonie Hats I own. Besides the price, I would buy this hat again.
