I love these! I'm 40 years old and have tiny feet. I usually wear a women's size 4 which is so hard to find. These are comfortable and warm due to the fleece inside. It's lightweight which I really like; this adds to the comfort when walking around. I've worn these in the snow and haven't really experienced the my socks getting wet or anything. I know some of the reviewers mentioned it's not waterproof. Plus the design is super cool and fitting for an adult too.

Got these boots for our preschooler to wear for outdoor recess on cold and wet days. They are perfect and so easy to clean. We will be buying these every year in new sizes. Please keep this boot around forever!

Super warm and my son's feet stayed completely dry after lots of time in the snow!! He also has a very wide foot and these were comfortable right out of the box.

Maybe more accurately described as water resistant. But my granddaughter LOVES them. She says they're good for running and climbing because they're not heavy or bulky. And she loves the colors (they happen to match her L L Bean down jacket).

My son had these boots and loved them. We ordered them for my daughter and the fit was not good so we returned. Too big around the foot. A size down would have been too small and I wanted her to grow into them.

These boots are not waterproof. I purchased them several months ago for my active 8 year old son. He loves the color and the fact that they are light weight. A little difficult to pull on, but that part is manageable. What frustrates me is the fact that I spent so much money on a pair of boots that will likely last only one season and they are not as described. I met with someone in store to discuss options and these were clearly presented and sold to me as waterproof boots. They are not even water resistant. My son is outside in freezing weather and when he comes inside, they are soaked through completely. As in a full puddle inside, with no removable liner. When he wears them to school, I have now found out that he walks around all day with wet feet. I am even putting them on my heater to dry out and three days later they are still soaked through. Come on Bean, you can do better!

The boots are true to size: they fit once they are on. Getting them on my children's feet is a pain. They have a great deal of trouble slipping their feet all the way down.

These boots wore out on the toe- the stitching came out and the insulation poked through- only worn for one month- the month we had snow- for my grandson- expected better quality from LLBean!

These boots are not waterproof. Maybe water-resistant, but not waterproof. I was super excited to finally find light-weight waterproof boots. But when my kids walk through wet snow or slush, these boots leak. I bought two pairs (for two kids), so I have had time to see how they work. Forget walking through small puddles that happen when snow melts - these boots will leak through completely. I contacted customer service about this, and immediately got a response telling me that maybe my kids' feet are sweating in the boots, etc., etc. My kids' feet are soaked through (if they walk through a puddle), or I can see clear wet spots on their socks, especially around the heel, if they walk through slush. While I appreciate having a lightweight winter boot, there are plenty of water-resistant lightweight options for a much smaller price. Or you can get a pair of truly waterproof boots for the same price, they are just really heavy (we own those as well, so I can compare the performance as well as the weight). Additionally, these boots are hard to get into: one of my kids cannot get into his without an adult helping him push his heel all the way in, with a lot of effort (we bought a size up for him, and his feet are regular width). The other kids has narrow feet and can put on these boots himself.
