I bought these hikers for our 2 yr. old grandson because most shoes for toddlers don't stand up to outdoor play. Our family lives in a rain forest area with hiking trails and rocky beaches. Like all toddlers, he needs to run, climb and explore. When he visited us, I realized that he needed shoes that could stand up to the terrain here so I bought these hikers for him. What a game changer! Because these are real hiking boots, he was able to get the traction needed to explore the outdoors with confidence. These are the highest quality shoes you can get for a rambunctious explorer.

I purchased the Toddlers' Waterproof Trail Model Hikers for my granddaughter who loves being outside exploring. They're extremely easy to put on, and very well made; exactly what I would expect from Land's End!

They're cute. My son wears a size 6 toddler but they were too small. These boots run small even in kids sizes

So so so Happy I found these. True to size.
I struggle finding shoes for my little one.
She has wide feet and is very picky.
These are so nice for what they are intended for, a waterproof hiking shoe.
They are a little bulky, but my girl walked in them just fine and they are a little big because she is actually a 6 1/2 so I bought the 7, so perfect because she will have room to grow and will last Stepmber through April most likely. They are expensive, but the quality, comfort and durability is all there. I might have to look at the womens hiking shoes on here now.
Also they do seem fine for her wide feet so that's a huge bonus. Don't hesitate these are so nice.

THey are sturdy, yet not at all awkward for tiny 3 year old feet to hike in the forest with. Well made and a lovely azure blue color.

My 4 year old son is in size 9s. These have done him well. He spends a lot of time running woods and playing at creeks. These definitely get the job done.

My 2 year old grandson wears these boots. He loves to walk in puddles and mud. His feet don't get wet and the mud doesn't stick. He runs down rocky trails and doesn't slip and fall like he did with tennis shoes. He can climb on rocks with good grip so I don't worry (as much : ) ). When he grows out of them they will be handed down to his cousin and I will buy another pair. They get tons of compliments from people as we pass on the trails.

My 19 month old loves them. She can jump in puddles and walk up hills. I high recommend. I wish they said if the people making them made a living wage and if the factory uses environmentally friendly practices.

My son is a very active 2.5 year old, and these boots enable him to climb, walk, run for hours on end. While the oral feedback he provides is somewhat limited (he is only 2.5, after all), I think that the proof is in the pudding! I'm proactively purchasing these boots in the next size up so that I'll have them the minute we need them.

So I brought this for my step daughter and it was Christmas gift to her since we go out and hike often together with her mom. I noticed that she is capable to walk farther and enjoy more in nature with this boot instead of other toddler shoes. Will buy this again when have a chance to.

Boot design allows easy entry. Great lateral stability. Loosen upper strap for forward movement. Kayden loves his boots. Super happy with this purchase.

The look and feel of theses hikers is really nice and just like an adult hiker. If your child is a whole size, I'd size up since this shoe runs a little small and you might want a thicker sock.

Great, sturdy, and good looking shoe. It could only be better if it grew with the child!

The shoes are great, although they might run a little small, it's hard to tell. Our biggest complaint is that the tongue doesn't connect on the sides and so you have gaps between the tongue and the shoe, which defeats the waterproof aspect. Other than those two points, they are great and our daughter loves them.

Heavy duty and hold up well. Wish the velcro straps were a little longer. Also, there is a gap on each side of the tongue, exposing child's sock. Wish the tongue was tucked behind the top of the shoe like usual.

LL Bean, please make your toddler boots and shoes in the natural shape of a toddler foot! This boot is too narrow for my toddler's foot. Take a look at the comparison between the LL Bean shoe and the shoe next to it that is a natural shape. The LL Bean boot is too narrow and not the natural shape of the foot. I love the waterproofing and the overall quality of the LL Bean boot, but I can't have my toddler wear it too many days in a row because it is not comfortable. She takes it off as soon as possible. I am a loyal LL Bean customer and love the products and brand philosophy. I just wish the kid shoes were made in the natural shape of the foot!

Nice shoes for an adult. So cute, but we wore once and my 2.5 year old kept tripping with one foot over the other. Too heavy and stiff for us.

Cute boots, well made and rugged, but hard to get boot on the toddler. I went a full size larger.and couldn't get her foot through the opening, maybe the boot is too stiff?

I got these last fall for my 2-year-old in hopes they'd be good for hiking. While they were sturdy shoes, they were obviously quite clunky too and they were very hard to get on, even though I had sized up to a 9 (he was wearing 8 at the time), and the result is that he did not want to wear them. I think he wore them a total of 3-4 times and would complain every time he had them on that he didn't like them. He never developed blisters or anything, but he definitely walked funny when he had them on. So these would probably be fine for an older kid, but not really a great shoe for a toddler.

These boots are great once you can get them on but it was a pain to get them on my toddlers feet. They're very tight. She's a size 6.

We had to return these boots as it was very difficult to get my 3 year olds feet into them. They also gaped on either side of the tongue. My older son has the lace up version and they are wonderful.

The quality of these boots is great! However, the opening is SOOOO small and narrow and tight that it was impossible for my 4 year old to get his foot in. We tried 3 different sizes. Finally, tried the 9 which would have been a perfect fit if he was able to just get his foot into the actual boot. Super frustrating. Nice quality though I wish they worked out.
