These pants are comfortable, warm, and slimming. The fabric is soft, flexible, and smooth on the outside. No one would know they are fleece on the inside. I am a woman who can wear girls' and boys' large and extra large clothes.
As it is not cold weather yet I wear these pants on cool mornings. In cold weather I expect to wear them every day. One day recently I wore them at a warm, windy 3-hour air show and they were perfect.
I like the zippers at the lower legs as I can cool off as needed by unzipping them.

I bought these in blue and he liked them so much, I bought another color! Really excellent play pants, warm too! Just a note...I had to wash in a professional hot water setting to get slime off (they were covered in glue and coloring) and they came out fine! Highly recommend.

My son told me that he was freezing at school at recess. So I went on a mission to find pants that don't overheat him in the classroom but keep him warm outside. These were perfect.
Wash well too! Highly recommend.
11yr. Tall, but skinny. We purchased 10's and 12's in every color; kept the 10's. The 12's were just too big.
A little pricey, but worth it to keep your kiddos warm.

These are the ONLY pants my boys will wear- and the ones that fit them best. They are slender kids and these fit them nicely in the waist. Considering how active my kids are they are very durable- a step up from sweatpants but still comfortable. PLEASE make them in more colors (not drab olive)! The black and grey are great staples. I love the blue- perhaps a deep red, dark orange, or grass green with about the same brightness as the blue! Please more colors for boys!

My son, like many other 11-year-olds, prefers to avoid jeans and is more comfortable in just about anything else. But he's tall and very skinny and it's very hard to find pants that fit both in length and in the waist. These fit the bill perfectly and also have the added warmth that his normal jogging style pants don't have. We live in northern IL so these work well on winter days that are not sub-zero and are the best fit I have found for him. Also, these are great quality. I will definitely get more.

Bought for a friend's grandson for X-Mas along with the matching fleece hoodie, both in grey. Both she and her grandson love the pants. They are very soft and warm. Will last throughout the season and if he doesn't grow too much, will fit into next Fall. A great purchase.

Got these as a replacement for my son's UnderArmour pants. He loves them and has already asked that we pre-order the size 16 for when he grows out of his current pairs (we got them in every color!). Sturdy, warm, and comfortable yet still "cool enough" for a picky 12 year old.

Perfect pants for my tall, skinny, grandson. Soft and comfortable, and elastic waist improves the fit. The zippered legs are wonderful because he wears tall foot and ankle braces makes dressing him and changing his clothes much easier.

These are the best sports pants! These are the only one my soccer loving 13 year old wants to wear, so we have 8 pairs in his size!

Middle school athletic son loves these pants! They are warm, comfortable, and nice looking. He wears them to school and for play. Easy to wash and dry and still good as new. Matches everything. Good pockets. Worth the price and will purchase again if still available. He is on the taller, slimmer side and these fit great.

All three of my kids love these pants. (My daughter was angry when she saw that they were assigned to a gender!) Great for lots of activities. Not too loose, not too baggy. Wash well, dry quickly, don't hold onto dirt/spills. We are about to order another round. Please keep making these!

I have a very picky son. When he said he loved these pants I ordered two more in the next size up. He is very particular about his clothes being slim fitting, but not "skinny." He is about 4' 7" and 70 lbs. I ordered the size 8 which fit perfect right now, but are borderline too short. The size 10 looks right to me, but he's still rocking the 8's. We call this his "uniform" and it's held up well to repeated washings with very little pilling. Soft fleece lining too!

I bought this outfit for my grandson for Christmas. He is 12 so he seemed to have liked it. He's a growing boy so he tried the sweatpants on and said he would wear them.

Great for chilly days. This is our 3rd pair and they are in the weekly mix for school & play. Boot zipper can be uncomfortable for kids who play/learn on the floor a lot. Very durable and better than sweatpants in the wind.

The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is that they don't come in long sizes. They wear great, look good enough for school or a casual dinner, and are very warm.

Our granddaughter, age 7 and very slender, loves the feel of these pants, the color (grape) and the warmth. We were all disappointed at how quickly the knees showed pilling. Otherwise, a great product.

There's so much to love about these pants! They're stylish enough for tweens and really comfortable. They're also a great fit for kids who are on the thin side and both my boys loved them. I bought several pairs for each of them and the crotch seam split on all of them. It was also a little disappointing how easy it was for them to put holes in the knees. We love LL Bean products at our house because they can usually hold up to use by rowdy boys but these pants didn't quite live up to the usual quality.

I am a 61 year old woman, and these pants are great for wearing around the house. I had to shorten them considerably, and the zippers on the legs are just a nuisance for me, but they come closer to what I need than alternatives. They are warm, easy to launder, hold up well so far (after a couple of months so far), have on-seam pockets and don't cost TOO much. My only complaints are: black was sold out very early in season, and the price is a bit high for what you get.

I bought three pairs of these pants for my son last year on sale and he liked them so much I bought two more pairs recently. My son has a narrow build and is thin. These pants are nicely tailored for a skinny kid. While the pants are comfortable and stylish I would not recommend them for sports. The first time my son wore these new pants and slid in PE class it put a hole through the knee. I'll repair it but it is very annoying that it wore so poorly. I would suggest that L.L. Bean reinforce the knee (iron knee) like some other brands do on kids pants.

My kids love these pants - we own 5 pairs between two boys. They are warm and cozy and great Fall through Spring in VT. My only caution would be that two pairs of these pants that we own split their seams in the exact same location in the crotch after just a few wears. Not sure if this is indicative of a design or sewing defect. The first time it happened I tried returning them but the color was out of stock, so I decided just to sew them up myself. The next time it happened (different pair of pants), unfortunately, was while my son was at school, so he had to endure the embarrassment of a full day of school with split pants. Again, I intend to repair them myself to avoid the hassle of a return, but just be aware that based on my sample size you have a 40% chance of the same thing happening to your child! L.L.Bean should reimburse me for my son's emotional trauma! Ha! Just kidding.

My son has been wearing these almost exclusively for years -- unlike most sweatpants they were a great fit for a kid on the skinny side. The knees do wear out if the child is rough on them but we expect that after a year of constant wear and accept it given the benefit of comfort. Sadly the sizing has changed noticeably in the last year or 2. The new size 12s are 1/2 inch longer on the inseam and 1-2 inches wider in the thighs. The old cut was a much better fit for an athletic, slim boy. The new sizing is bulky and baggy, and even worse instead of having straight, athletic-cut legs they have a curvy hip and upper thigh cut into the fabric. We noticed a similar change in the sizing of the 10s. Please, please LL Bean consider offering these in a slim fit again (or maybe an option for both slim and husky fit?).

My son loves these sweats. Good pockets, zip off feature and warmth. Only complaint is the knees have not held up to little boy abuse and now has a hole.
