Glad I brought it on a trip with me to Taiwan where a major tropical storm in the Philippines has brought non-stop rain. This kept me dry in the torso. The hood also kept me dry, but when I had finally returned to my hotel, I could feel dampness in the inside of my hood. I didn't notice because I typically wear a hat out for sun and or weather protection. All-in-all, this is a solid layer that isn't exceptionally warm, but good enough to block mild wind and will stay dry. I wasn't in pouring rain, so I can't speak to that.

After spending a couple of weeks searching for a quality rain jacket. After reading over 30 reviews, I am so glad I landed on the Men's Alta Vista Jacket. Not only is it high quality at a reasonable price, I am in love with the Beetroot (red) color. It really looks great and goes with almost everything. 10/10 recommend!

Checks all the necessary boxes for me nice cut, chest pocket, pit zips, and compact. Love it.

My high school freshman grandson wears this jacket in our rainy Alaskan climate. Fit is fine, lines are good, a classic.

It keeps rain out really well, and I love the way it looks too! I bought a medium (my usual size) and my only quibble is that the sleeves are a little longer than ideal for me. I'm actually hoping for more cold damp weather so I can wear it more!

Tried and tested! Been wearing this jacket over the last few months and I've been in some strong rain storms. Keeps you very dry, it's lightweight and very comfortable, plus it keeps you dry lol.

Love how light it is for being in the rain in Florida. Wore this and my North Face rain pants to a football game recently and they worked great love the color

I bought the Alta Vista. Wore it 3x in light rain 65 degrees. 100% of my perspiration trapped. Came home soaked from sweat not rain. vents were open. I can't use it.

I needed a super light waterproof shell for layering on spring days, Sailing, or just to stay dry in a rainy day.my Alta vista Jacket fits the bill perfectly.

I like this item way more than I thought I would! It is leightweight but also protects from rain/wind very well. Other reviews talk about a "huge oversized hood", but I didn't find it to be abnormally large and I have a small head. I would recommend this jacket style to a friend!

Bought this jacket to replace my North Face rain jacket(which was over 10 years old) for a trip to Scotland. Performed as expected, Great product!!!

this is super light with the strength I've come to expect with the products I get from North Face. I love how it folds down into a pocket and is easily packable. Its perfect layer for travel when wet conditions are possible
