Great jacket, plenty of room to layer underneath. Relaxed fit! Lightweight enough to be a warm weather rain jacket!

Love the look. Haven't tested the waterproof capability yet since it's winter.

Really like this jacket. Very waterproof and wind proof, slightly lightweight which is nice for packing, but should work well as a shell in colder weather if you layer up underneath. Men's medium fits as expected. Bought this as a gift for my son, he loves it. I just bought myself a different north face jacket a year ago, but if I would've seen this one at that time, I would've gotten it for myself, I like it that much.

This coat has an awesome fit and is totally comfortable. The sleeves are the right length. (I have longer arms than most.)

Great jacket! It was a steal as I got it on sale. Perfect lightweight and windproof jacket for snowboarding. Allows you to layer up and also wear by itself on slightly warmer days.

I use this jacket for outdoor recreation, work, and overall rainy weather. I live in the Pacific NW and you can't beat cortex for rainy climates and you can't find anything better than North Face! It's a must have in my opinion.

Love this jacket! It's lightweight but really keeps you dry. The color is nice and it fits smaller than usual. I wear an XL typically in jackets but had to go down a size. I'm 215lbs and 5'8". The pockets are nice however the flap over the pocket make it a bit more challenging to get into the pocket. I understand this is a waterproof jacket and they want to keep everything dry however having the flap face front to back versus back to front would be more helpful. Otherwise I really like it. Keeps you warm and you can add layers for warmth during the winter months. Perfect for rainy days during any season. What can I say,,,,,it's Northface and they have the best outdoor jackets!

The jacket has been my trusty jacket around town and on spring and summer jaunts this year. I haven't taken her on any multi-day trips as I am laid up with an illness that prevents me from really getting out there but the jacket is great!

Just bought this coat to replace an old, well-worn favorite. Its my everyday raincoat for walking or cycling about town. The material is great - light and slightly stiff. The mesh lining is great. Outside pockets (chest and side) are well-sized with good zippers. The hood works great. It would be even better jacket if were vented, e.g. arm pit vents. Things get a bit boggy on the inside, even with the mesh lining.

I arrived at the "2000 Mountain Jacket" after buying the "Dryzzle Futurelight." I was drawn to the clean, minimalist tailoring; the cool, "military olive" color; the refined look of the "Dryzzle"...but the sizing was too tight/not practical. I also felt it was disconcertingly thin...a lining of some kind would have helped. It was hard to return because I loved this more urban style, although I realized this is not what why you buy a North Face rain jacket. I told my sales person they should rename it "The City Slicker!" So, after much research and weighing the variables, I went with the 2000 Mountain Jacket...no great new natural color, cutting edge material/seamanship, or flattering fit, but a more functional, serviceable jacket for active work/play in the rain...kind of why one goes to North Face in first place. However, if they were to marry the two...now that would be something! This new, lean styling seems out of whack....check out the models on their website...most of the jackets look too tight on them...For a company catering to hikers, campers, trekkers, or anyone who relies on North Face for quality rainwear allowing for freedom of movement in any inclement weather situation, the choices have shrunk, literally.

This jacket is my Spring, Fall and sometimes Summer jacket. I spent hours online, viewing other competitive brand names, trying to find a jacket with all the features on my wish list. This jacket meets most of them which included: double zipper, mesh lining, at least 1 outside pocket( this has 2), hood without a stiff bar sewn in it, and great looks. If it had an inside pocket and elasticized sleeve then all my wish list features would be met. No other brand name came close. Last year I settled for a different brand name jacket without this many features because the North Face 2000 Mountain Jacket didn't exist. The North Face jacket costs less than the other brand name jacket. That jacket is in a closet downstairs out of sight and out of mind because I don't know what I'll do with it.
