This bag is perfect for my son. It will hold his laptop and books while still being comfortable to wear on his back. Plenty of compartments making it easy to organize based on class.

1 issue: one of the inside pockets was stitched closed! Had to clip it open with scissors. So, a bit of quality control issues with this one. Otherwise, a nice backpack. Really like having TWO water bottle pockets. Wish there was a key ring/ strap inside for car keys.

My 6th grader wanted to upgrade from her other LL Bean back pack that carried her through elementary years (with lots of life left!) So far, she loves this new backpack. Holds so much with great little compartments, and she LOVES the colors and more mature style.

This backpack "works" for our grandson who never goes to his high school locker all day!

It holds a lot, many pockets, 2 water bottles, and is in good shape after a year. Maybe a bigger water bottle pocket for day hikes on one side, but this is a nice bag.

I use my everyday for work. I carry many items and never have an issue. I bag is comfortable and I highly recommend it. LLBean makes great products.

Perfect size!!!! Bought this to out vaca patches on that I've accumulated. Love the size especially because you can sinch the sides! Wanted something that will last forever. Can't wait to start putting my patches on!

Lots of room and multiple pockets - had to go through several other smaller backpack models before I found this one, which was actually big enough to fit laptop, books, sweatshirt, etc.

This is a large, roomy and sturdy backpack. My high schooler does use a locker and this holds all she needs.

The last backpack we bought was for my Junior in high school when she was in 3rd grade. It's got flowers on it but now it holds about 50 pounds of text books. We are hoping this one lasts just as long.

Purchased this for a week-long family trip in CO involving airplane travel, sightseeing, and a fair amount of walking. The capacity is fantastic and all of the details re: each of the compartments are so well thought-out. Quality is top notch (as is always the case with L.L. Bean), and the pack was comfortable to wear. Highly recommend - I am quite happy with this purchase.

Nice design first use and it held two laptops one iPad all the charging cords food snacks for a full day commercial flight. Straps are thin and not real comfortable to carry the heavy loads, but it serves its purpose.
