Really spacious for our daughter who has to carry everything all day. However, 4 days into school and the shoulder strap is already pulling/tearing out from the bookbag. For the price, we were expecting better quality.

We love Bean backpacks, I had them as a kid, and have bought them for my three kids. The last two we bought have been a huge disappointment though. This one is the perfect size, exactly what my high schooler needed, but within a month the straps started to shred away from the backpack. Within a few months the side straps completely pulled out. That frayed strap in the photo is supposed to be attached. Now it has been less than a year and we have to buy a new backpack. Sad since they were not cheap!

This backpack is amazing for high schoolers that don't have a locker! Please bring this style back!

My son asked for a big backpack to carry his school books and the other books he wants to read. He said as big as we could find, we found this it's perfect.

Bought to replace book bag i had for laptop, so far very pleased plenty of room to store laptop & all accessories. I've gone through at least 3 other laptop bags this one seems to be best quality.

roomy bag with lots of compartments - fits everything in one bag which is optimal for traveling - hurt my ankle over a year ago and was struggling to walk without pain - doctor recommended a pack back - this one fits the bill perfectly

I have a lot of medical issues and have to carry a lot of things with me when I travel. My previous LL Bean pack is 20 years old and wasn't big enough so I got this one. This backpack has been a game changer for my middle schooler who refuses to use his school locker. Large enough to hold everything for his classes, and the external laptop pouch is genius!

My son was looking for a pack for college to carry his gym clothes lunch books and laptop. This pack is very well made and did everything. He puts his large water bottle in the outermost area as the side water bottle pockets are small but good for an umbrella.

MY granddaughter needed a large durable school pack for the large amount of things she carried each day. She loves this pack!

This was a gift for my granddaughter who seems to have a locker full of books that ,just be carried around. She said it was perfect and fits her need.

We bought two bags only one worked out. The blue bag has too much grey everywhere which is not displayed in the pictures. We really wanted two bags, but the blue one was ugly, but we decided to keep the black bag which looked a lot better with less grey colors. We have bought other LL Bean bags in the past, and they are superior materials and with extreme durability, functionality and longevity.

SO MUCH space, which I needed, and lots of great pockets and well-made. I needed one with chest straps and a lot capacity, and this is just right.

This backpack has everything you need for a high school/ college backpack. It has tons of pockets, it is big enough to fit everything, and the water bottle pocket can fit a large bottle and is not 100% mesh. Hate mesh pockets they rip to easily. This is really the elite of backpacks.
