I wanted to love these boots as they were the style I have been looking for. After ordering in 2 different sizes, I still found them to be stiff and uncomfortable. I was willing to pay this much for boots, as long as they felt comfortable, but they weren't. As usual, the service provided by Zappos was very efficient.

Love these! The leather is softer than others. The lace up allows you to adjust the fit.

Nice craftsmanship and materials. Definitely order a half size down. I am a rock-solid 8 and had to send them back to exchange for a 7 1/2. On the upside, the return process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Grown-up Docs FTW.

I really wanted these to work for me. Sadly, I have a narrow foot and they were a bit too stiff for me. They truly are beautiful boots, just not a fit for me.

I love everything Madewell & these boots are no exception! There is definitely a break in period, they are initially a little stiff but I am positive that after a few wears they will be perfect. They are beautiful in person! ??

fits true to size..however, the comments I had read said to order 1/2-1 size smaller, so I ordered 1/2 size smaller and they are too small. Leather is really hard and stiff, making them pretty uncomfortable
