These 990v6 are perfect! The first pair of black shoes had frays around the collar. Exchanged for another pair. Replacement shoes have no issues. They are comfy out of the box. I am a long time wearer of the 990 series.

The 990v6 fits tts. I’m able to wear a special insole without issue. There was no break in time. I’m a dedicated long time 990 wearer!

Great pick for stability: Great stability but design above toe area needs improvement. I've purchased 3 pair now and the cloth above the big toe area should be replaced with leather, as the cloth rips and my cobbler must reinforce them every time. NB can just extend the leather area that is at the top of the shoe-theb, these would be perfect!

laces are too short again: I've been wearing this style for several years now and the length of the laces keeps changing. On this most recent pair they are too short to double knot comfortably.

Perfect for work: My daughter works in retail and is on her feet most of the day. She says these sneakers are good for long hours of standing. She likes the toe space as well.

It was a little too tight and snug. Also the tongue of shoe bothered my foot. Lastly, the heel inside area felt too tight.

recommended by podiatrist: cute shoe, hoping it helps my tarsal tunnel syndrome. Feels pretty good so far though there is very littlw cushion in the ball of the foot.

Size down by a half if you choose wide: My feet are wide, and I size nine. I ordered 9 wide, and they are entirely way too big. If you order a wide style, it is best to size half down. I wish I would have, other than that it's a nice shoe. Very comfortable.

I previously owned the v5, which I loved for 4 months - until the mesh started ripping. I have posterior tibial tendonitis and the v5 was specifically recommended for it. I only wore the v5 for walking - no running - and have PowerStep orthotics in the shoes together with a sleeve on one foot. Very comfortable shoes. I was able to get store credit from a local store for the v5 and bought the v6. I noticed that the right foot (the one unaffected by PTTD) was too tight by the tongue so I have to lace it a bit differently. Once I was able to do that, the rubbing stopped and the shoe feels fine. The left shoe easily accommodates the orthotic and the sleeve. I have no issues with the toe box even though it is longer and not as wide as the v5. As far as style, I prefer the all black v5 instead of the black and white v6 but it is what it is. The shoes are comfortable and work well with my PTTD - and the orthotics and sleeve. Please note that I am currently wearing the shoes while barefoot and not wearing socks. Hopefully that will not matter.

OK arch support for someone who only needs moderate support. But not enough for very flat feet. Not as firm and supportive as the last 990 v5.
The run a half size large.

Too narrow. The 990 8.5 2E are very narrow compared to other shoes the same size I have gotten previously..I have been stretching them to make them feel better.
