These are great soft-shell gloves - they're not meant to be insulated gloves. they're perfect for when you need a rain/wind resistant shell on your hands. I use them for warmer ski touring days and also for trail running in crisp Colorado mornings. I also like using them for when there are scrambles on a trail run, to protect my hands from all the rock grabbing.
I am around a size 7 for gloves. I usually get a Small/Medium in women's gloves. The sizing on these gloves are unisex, pay attention to the sizing chart! For the Arteryx Venta gloves, I went with a size XS and it was perfectly fitted. the wrist is a little more fitted/tight but this is great because it won't let cold air or snow in. I previously had worn a size Small and found they were "comfortable" but on the looser end. I also love the new Forage color. It's like a khaki green.

Y'all need to bring back the Venta series mittens ASAP. I loved them more than anything and was about to snag another pair for next season. When paired with a base layer thin glove they work wonderfully. You can have them soaking wet on one run and dry the next. Truly a versatile and well made mitten. Why yall stopped making the mittens does not make sense to me. Should be paired with an ultra-thin glove layer but works fine without under standard conditions. Not sub-zero mittens by any means.

These are what I would expect for a lightweight softshell glove. They fit well (no giant folds of extra fabric at the fingertips) and are snug enough at the wrists. The mitt versions are definitely my favourite (and obviously quite a bit warmer), but when I need finger dexterity these work well.

I have the Arcteryx Rivet gloves (my favorite, warm, comfortable, fashionable, but poorly made) and the Alpha SL (fashionable, but useless, not warm at all), and the Venta gloves. The Venta are better fitting than the Rivet, maybe not as comfortable or as fashionable as the Rivet, and certainly not as warm. They do, however, seem to be better made than the Rivet gloves. Any gloves are better than the Alpha SLs.

I was hesitant when buying these gloves as some reviews were pretty negative. After trying them on 2-3 times in the physical store, I decided to go for it and I can't say I regret it!
These are great gloves that sit perfectly in the every-day commuter glove/hiking glove. Outer is a DWR treated soft-shell material that won't take too much beating so don't use them for cutting down trees and other physical jobs as they weren't made to handle that in the first place.
Lining is a soft, medium warm liner that will keep your hands warm all the way down to 2-3 degrees C and maybe even lower if you have enough layers on your torso.
Fit is perfect and they definitely fit like a glove! I am usually a size M (8) when it comes to gloves but I'm rocking these in size S as they fit more snug and offer more dexterity.
I do understand that these run a bit larger then they should so I think that Arc Teryx is missing out on sales when it comes to people with smaller hands.
Reason I gave them 4/5 is because they are missing a "loop" (they do have one that was used to keep them together in the packaging) at the cuff that could help with putting them on as they do sit a bit snug around the wrist. Something that Mechanix Original mastered a long time ago.

Fit a little on the small side. Nice material, and so far seem to be very waterproof in the snow. Not as warm as I was hoping, but good for high output activities when it's not too cold.

I got here around a month ago, they are great in mild temperatures but when it goes anywhere below 10c they don't keep much heat in.

I purchased my pair in 2019. They are a tight fit to put on, and the piping has peeled away from the glove, probably from my pulling the gloves on.
The good. Once on, I love the feel, dexterity and the job they do keeping hands temperature regulated while moving in cold weather. I've used these with comfort in temps ranging from 10-15 degrees up to 50 degrees. Easily my favorite pair I own.
The not-so-good. Fitment. Once on my hands, perfect. Getting the gloves on my hands is pretty tough. The wrist, which feel snug and secure while wearing them, does not allow for my hand to slide in very well. Without some sort of loosen/tighten system it's a trade off. Also, the touch screen doesn't really work with these gloves, my I-Phone w/screen protector, which then requires my taking gloves on/off more often which is difficult because of the narrow wrist opening. This has caused the piping to become torn away and replacement required.
In the end, even though the gloves didn't last 2 full seasons without tearing, and the difficulty I have getting them on and off, the fact that once they are on my hands it just feel right. Durability costs the one star, but the serviceability and reliability of the gloves is 5-star.

These will wind up living in my shoulder season wind jacket. They are very dextrous, with good grip in the fingertips. They fit rather close - you might prefer to size up after reviewing the sizing chart - but they have enough stretch to move with you. The seams in the fingertips are a little annoying - I'm hoping they soften as the gloves break in.
The e-touch pads on the index fingers and thumbs are highly responsive working my iPhone X with a tempered glass screen protector, and they are sewn on, so I'd expect them to last as long as the gloves do.
The wind protection is solid. If you've used any Goretex Infinium, you'll understand. It works well.
That's the good. Here's the bad, on a pretty brisk paced walk in mid-40's temps, these are pretty chilly, and after 20 minutes, I find myself putting my hands in my pockets. I'd say these would be good running gloves down into the 30's. But for anything less intense, I would hesitate to use them below the upper 40's or low 50's. That's why I say they'll live in my shoulder season wind breaker. They'll be great for those days with a brisk breeze that aren't otherwise all that cold. Other than that, I don't see much use for them.
I'd love to try the AR version with its loftier insulation, and that was what I was initially hoping to buy. Unfortunately they don't appear to be available anywhere above size S.

I've been using the Venta gloves for several weeks for winter cycling and casual use in NYC. Overall, the Windstopper works well when riding, but my hands get cold once it's in the mid 30's (Fahrenheit) and below. There is no insulation, but rather a thin fleece liner. The fit is pretty slim, so it takes a few tugs to get the gloves on. I'm afraid the seams on the cuff will eventually tear as other reviewers have experienced. The touchscreen sensor compatible pad on thumb and index finger seems to work ok with my iPhone, but sometimes I have problems with touchscreen on kiosk (i.e. self-check out machines).
I'm not too crazy about the placement and size of the logo, so I colored it in with a black fabric marker. I love the brand, but don't want to look like a walking billboard when I'm wearing multiples pieces from Arc'teryx.
The Venta gloves are good for active use. However, if it's not on sale, you should be able to find something better that will also cost less.

The fit of the glove is a bit larger than previous iterations (of similar models) and bit better made. Fairly comfortable, but stiff initially. The real issue is thermal insulation and the lack thereof. If the temperature drops below 0 deg C (32 deg F), this is NOT the glove you want; it is decent in Spring and Fall in the nordics but definitely not from Nov - May.

I love this glove. I have fairly large hands with big fingers and have a lot of difficulty finding gloves that fit. While I normally have to wear large or extra large to get through the wrist and fit my palm comfortably, the medium fits me perfectly. This is so important to me because it means I am able to fumble with layers, backpack straps, bindings and more without having to take my gloves off (I normally have to because the large and xl gloves have excess fabric in the fingers). My hands are normally much too warm in other gloves. These protect from the wind and wick vapor away from my hands. I can wear them skinning up a mountain and rarely need to put them in my pockets. I have the venta mitten (which was purposefully made warmer) and I hardly wear them because they are TOO warm. My only complaint is that on every pair I have ever seen in person (from 2021) the ring of fabric around the wrist cuff as begun to come off. Mine began too also come off, but didn't until they were mistakenly put in the washer with fabric softener. I have work them xc skiing, running, biking, and bc skiing all winter and into the spring. I couldn't find anything that compared so I replaced the pair I destroyed with another vents glove. I truly do love these gloves and hope that the 2022 model has more reinforced seams!

Fabric is not stretchy to accommodate proper fit with/without a liner. Even with a liner glove touch pads are huge weakpoints and let cold air easily making biking in < 5C really uncomfortable.
Was hoping for wind resistance but unfortunately didn't get it.
They are fine for running, but much simpler products can handle it, considering softshell material might not wick well during intense output.
Touch pads work ok, but because fabric is not stretchy and pad is even more sturdy material, so can feel janky at times. Can membrane never handle few stitches of conductive thread?

Had high hopes for this glove. Intended use was backcountry splitboarding. Found the gloves to be slippery and the finger tip material all wore off in the first few days of use. Arcteryx are warrantying the product for me so no complaints there. So don't buy these because you'll just end up sending back for warranty.

These are great gloves but unfortunately, the sensors on the index finger and thumb have worn out after three months of use. I got another pair because they're awesome but I expect they will do the same.

I bought them in August 29, 2020,
I am in love with how stylish they are, how temperature management is and how the good in snow and wind! Currently wore them 5+ times for intended use(2 full days of winter backpacking, few times for 5+ mile winter trail run, couple days of trekking) if temperature drop in city life, i am wearing them as daily gloves. works well with screen.
but big cons is DURABILITY, really sad, also water gets inside after couple of uses through the seams on fingers, so i washed the with Nikwax for Gore tex products in cold water, now its much better and water not getting in, so i can stay dry.
3/5 just because of durability.
Thanks for reading

I bought these gloves a year ago due to the near perfect fit. No other has fit me so well. A store employee said the same. These are not for COLD weather. Great when between 28-40F, and little wind. Anything below 28F, and low wind chills, and your fingers will feel it. The leather thumb also came apart on both gloves within a month. I only used them when driving, or hiking. For a premiere glove, I was slightly disappointed. I will not buy another pair.

I own a couple of Arcteryx gloves and the venta is my most used one for daily activities. I own both a black and forage color way in M. Weirdly enough the Black sizing is awkward and feels like large in the finger and thumb area and the webbing between them feels short. The forage color way feels more fitted and accurate on what an M sizing should be. durability is also average. The stretch part will begin to fray after multiple use. It's an okay glove at most. If you really want this glove, try on in store with some in the same size to compare.

I bought these as a cycling glove with the thought cycling and cross country skiing are similar high output activities. Cycled to work this morning and the temperature was plus 2C. Hands absolutely frozen the end. Not sure these would be useful for cross country skiing.

These gloves only block the wind. They have very limited warmth. The wrists are too short. They fit very well and the construction is excellent like all Arc'teryx products but not at all warm.
