For the southern Oregon coast. It is not a sandy, sweet beach here. Its very rugged with tough gravel which just destroys shoes. These are great, waterproof for a little tidepooling, comfortable, sturdy.

On the side of the shoe, the "Keen" name is not as noticeable as I feared. Many reviews stated to size up 1/2 size. I found that didn't work for me. This shoe has a shorter toe box than Keen usually offers. I have always worn a 9.5. I ordered to 10 after purchasing the 9.5. The 10 arch was off and the toe box was not taller, longer, but too long. The 10 fit was bigger and felt already broken in. The 9.5 for me, needs to be broken in a bit and hopefully that will happen soon. I will pack the toe box to strech. I feel it is better to stretch a snug shoe rather than slip on the back of of a shoe possibly to big to start.. Love the staff at Keen customer service. Very supportive and they never let you feel the problem is yours. The only reason I didn't give a 5 , is the feeling I have on the change of the toe box. It may be too big for some, but it was perfect for me. It is a beautiful, not over bright, white and gray shoe.

I already owned the NXIS Evo Waterproof Hiking Boots, so it was a natural choice when I saw that the style is now available as a shoe. Great fit, comfortable right away. Plenty of room in the toe box, which is very important for shoes that I will travel with. I only take 1 pair of shoes, maybe 2, on a trip, so comfort for several weeks is a must. These work wonderfully!

I have worn these shoes walking on pavement and hiking, and I would highly recommend them. They have a comfortable toe box that doesnt look awkward. I also love the color, as it can be worn for casual trip to town and still look nice. They have the perfect balance of support and cushion to provide all day comfort.

I bought these to replace my ten-year-old pair of Keens, in prep for a hiking vacation in the Utah National Parks last month. We hit all 5 Utah Nat'l Parks and logged about 30 miles of hiking. They worked great for not only trails, but also scrambling up/down limestone "trails" (sheer rock surface) in Canyonlands and Arches, and were super comfortable for the longer, all terrain hikes in Bryce and Zion. Good support, and roomy toe box. I have a history of plantar fasciitis and a knee reconstruction, and neither bothered me on the trails. Trying to convince my husband to get the men's version.

These do NOT have a roomy toe box and they definitely run a bit short. These have the newer contoured fit , notwithstanding the description for the shoe claiming that it has the iconic original fit. Not bunion-friendly.

They DEF run small; per reviews i ordered a half size larger and it was a good thing. I cant quite figure this put with keen products, how one design runs small and another in same size runs large. Trial & error depending on which product you choose. I havent had opportunity to wear these in wet conditions to determine how water proof they are, but again experience varies with the product. I love a similar product they carry for trail running but soon had wet feet in morning dew conditions; i am hoping these dont disappoint in similar circumstances .

I have been a lover of keen shoes for years. I own many pair of keen shoes and would highly recommend except these. I bought them because they were waterproof and soles were good on slippery surfaces. WRONG. I fell twice while wearing these not even hiking just walking. Very slippery sole! I'm not at all happy with this purchase and don't recommend. I wish I could return but past 30 days

I love my Nxis Evo Waterproof because they are light, strong and just beautiful. I had first pair in Plaza Taupe/Ibis Rose, which I gave to by daughter to wear. I could not fall in love with any other so bought same style in Fawn/Peach Whip color. These are comfy once you break into it, in the beginning it takes time to settle into this like all other shoes. I would go one size up if you got foot problem or if one plans to wear fall/winter socks in it.

These are described as Medium width, so I should not have been so disappointed. I hoped these would have the original wide toebox Ive found in other KEEN medium shoes, but these are definitely not wide and have little give. They are lightweight, sturdy hikers with a great tread, and being waterproof is a huge bonus, but my wide forefoot felt squeezed and I had to send these back. This is not the first time Ive regretted not having a Medium width foot. If you do, these would be great, thus my yes, I would recommend. My search for a hiking shoe with these qualities in WIDE continues.

I originally bought a size 8, but found the toe box to be too cramped, so I returned it for a size 9. I bought these to use for work. Despite the mixed reviews, I find these shoes very comfortable. I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day. My first day wearing them, I worked a 14-hour shift with no pain, and no pain the next day. Before keen, I wore shoes that had orthotics in them due to my foot ailments, and I would wake up every morning limping in pain. With Keen, I wake up pain free.

I normally wear a size 9 in Keen footwear. I had to order up a half size. The size 9 were tight in the toe. I wish Keen would go back to the original wide toe box.

I usually take a size 9 in Keen footwear. These in a nine were a bit snug in the toes. I returned them for a 9.5. I wish Keen would consistently keep the roomy toe box they are known for.

I'm a long time Keen wearer. I'm a 7.5 all the time even in Keens except for my Newports which is known to need a half size up (at least when I got mine). The sizing on these is not like my other regular Keens but still what I'd consider a 7.5. They're more snug in the toes though still wide enough for me. I've not overheated to the point where my feet swell a lot but I can see how they may be too snug at that point because my longest toe usually feels like it's going to hit the end of the shoe. However, there's actually room so it doesn't happen. I loved the comfort, the light weight and robustness of the shoe so much that I got another pair for backup. I sized up to 8. No more feeling my toe is going to hit the shoe but now I feel there's a tad too much room because my foot slides just a bit around inside. I rectify that by making the laces tighter, but that's a hassle for me. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't have the 7.5. I hope this helps others with sizing. I also wear orthotics. As soon as I tried them on out of the box, I fell in love and wanted to go out right away and play in them. I love all my Keens but I really love this pair because they're light and cushy like a sneaker, but my feet feel solid on the ground like my hikers. I feel like I can walk forever in them, and they keep my feet dry in the rain.

So far they have been pretty waterproof, though my husband has had his for a few months longer than I've had mine and his now let water in, so I'm not sure how long that will last. I really like the colour and how they look. I find that the back piece is very high and sits right under my ankle bone, so it rubs very badly. They're not hugely comfortable. I wouldn't buy another pair.
