Customer Reviews KEEN Howser Canvas Slip-On

I wanted a pair of canvas shoes for summer, and even though these were pricy for just canvas, I bought them anyway (I got the multicolor) because Keens always have room for my bunions. These feel fabulous on, and they stay on. I sprayed on two coats of Scotchguard to protect them from water and mud, but I haven't worn them yet because it's still too cold here. I bought these and a pair of Asportuguesas wool shoes (which were lint magnets). Kept these.

typically Keens are great for me but I literally couldn't get my feet into these, unfortunately. They may be the first keen slip-ons I've tried, and that could make the difference - I have very high arches, and that can cause challenges with slip-on shoes. So these are one my rare keen returns.

Toes rubbed front and not much support on the bottom

Loved the color and they are very lightweight. The sole was flexible and I would have kept them, but I was looking for a softer more flexible canvas or fabric upper. The canvas felt too stiff for what I wanted.

Been wearing Vans my whole life and just can't anymore.(Lack of width and zero arch) So, took a chance with these Keen slip-ons. Decent enough. Wish they we're a tad cheaper but...Decent arch, decent width and comfy.

Uncomfortable at instep--so I decided to return them. I loved the design and was sad to have to return them. :(

I loved these shoes, but my feet did not. If I stood still they were quite comfortable. But when I walked the top of the shoe would rub at my ankle and my heel would slip. I worn them around my house trying to talk myself into keeping them but alas I returned them. My arches are very high so someone with less lift would probably love the fit. Typical Keen shoes with wide toe box and cute style.

These shoes are very comfortable but I wish the were a little wider. I wear a 8 1/2 but have to get a 9 1/2. They feel like clown shoes in the toe area but are tight across the top of my feet.

Since these have a removable insole, I had hoped to use them with my orthotics but the shoes did not have enough extra room and/or give to make that possible. I'm disappointed because I really like them.

My original review was on June 12,2022, however after wearing these shoes several times, I found that I preferred the winter Howser over these, the tongue on the canvas shoe was too long and bothered my foot, my ankles were swelling after just a short time. Sad to say they have sat in my closet. ?

These were comfortable enough although slightly tight over the top of my foot. The styling however, was bad. The stripes on the two shoes didn’t match at the forefoot. So what could have been fun and funky and vaguely Italian instead looked like clown shoes. Returned.

I am a devoted Keen fan and am usually very pleased. This pair, however, was an epic fail for me because the top of the shoe is so long that it digs into the front of my ankle/shin area even in a neutral position. It simply is not wearable for my feet. I've never had this problem with a Keen shoe (or any shoe for that matter) in the past.

2/2 pairs of the chevron pattern with non-matching stripes. Even with two pairs in hand, I can't get two shoes that have stripes aligned. Sorta close, but not good enough for shoes that cost so much. C'mon Keen, do better.
