Customer Reviews Dr. Martens 1461 Oxford

I've already reviewed the 2-tone leather Doc Martens. I had gotten those and this suede pair in a US Women's 9 (no half sizes and I usually wear a 9 1/2). They were way too big. These are an 8. Zappo's is very customer-oriented and sent a replacement for both right away but the grey and black leather arrived first. Both are roomy in the smaller size with medium-weight socks. The leather pressed slightly in the bunion area; these don't. I love the way they look. I couldn't believe how large they run. The woman who set up the exchange said hers were the same.

Really wish I could have gotten them in 10 1/2- darned if I don’t get a compliment a day on these though. Really sharp looking deep black suede uppers with the signature Doc Marten’s sole. I happen to work in a place that waxes their floors frequently, and one thing I can definitely say is that they squeak SO LOUD. But, small price to pay for such style and comfort. 10/10 would buy them again.

The green is like a gorgeous emerald. I love these shoes. They make my huge feet look not so …huge!

I am so bummed. I love, love, love this shoe. The green suede shoe looks amazing! Based on the reviews the shoe runs large but I thought that I would take a chance and order the UK 6, which, based on the size chart, would fit a US women's size 8. The green suede looks better than pictured so it just made me very sad that my size wasn't available.

My daughter literally gasped when they opened the box. They are gorgeous!
