Customer Reviews New Balance Classics 574 Core

I love the way this shoe looks and sized up as recommended (usually wear size 7 and ordered 7.5) but they're still quite tight against my toes :-( it's tolerable so I'll keep them but I wish I ordered a size 8!

I normally wear a size 11A in shoes. I ordered the 970 Core in an 11 1/2 B because New Balance is usually 1/2 size too short on me and my foot has been getting wider in the last few years. Sadly, the shoe was still too short, so I returned it and ordered a size 12B. It hasn't arrived yet, so I don't know if it will fit. I like the appearance of this shoe.

Overall, this shoe works. It is a casual shoe that is trusty and I'll keep them for a while. Ultimately, the shoe runs small and also compresses my toes a bit. I am always a 7.5, and I ordered an 8 due to a note on the site that they run small. Though i sized up when I ordered, they only just fit. They are on the snug side. But also, I have what is considered a narrow foot and still there isn't much room for my toes to spread. They are mildly scrunched, which makes these a bit uncomfortable on days with lots of walking.

The shoes ran a little small. I had them stretched. I have previously purchased two pairs of the 574 and they were good.

Wayyyy too narrow for a wide: I have worn wide NB shoes for more than 20 years. Wide was always wide. This pair was nowhere near a wide.

Not as cushiony: The 574 has changed, and not in a good way. The cushioning in the sole is minimal. Loved older versions of this shoe where I felt I was walking on pillows.

I went a 1/2 size up, per comments, but too loose. My regular size was too tight. This. Brand is usually a good fit for me, but no Goldilocks 'just right' this time.

I have New Balance walking shoes from a few years ago that are starting to show wear so purchased these and did not even try them on before starting the return. The quality has changed drastically and NOT for the better. I don't recommend these.

Used shoes: When receiving the shoes the shoes had stains on them as if they had already been worn.

Good shoes but could use better stitching: The shoes are nice but the stitching near the shoe laces has loose threads and you could see the fabric wasn't completely shown together

Runs small: Did not fit. Shoe runs small. Need to probably order a size up. It wasn't as comfortable as I thought it would be.

Runs tight: They are tight around my toes, when walking its tight

Super cute and comfortable, however they are already ripped on the seam on both shoes where the toebox meets the upper after only wearing them for a little over a month at my part time desk job.

One of the shoes didn't have the N sewn on in production. These were a birthday present for our daughter and the return process is too long so we are stuck with them and hope the fabric glue holds.

It looks nice but not very comfortable. The shoes keep falling down from my heels when I walk.

really really comfy but kinda really ugly

Wish I could return these. You would think they are comfortable but they constantly give me a blister on the back of my heel. I bought despite the reviews because I thought they are so cute.
