I am extremely disappointed in LL Bean. The quality of this jacket is poor. The material is thin and what you would expect from a $10 jacket purchased at a discount store. Quite frankly, the rain slickers they sell at baseball games are made better. How did this pass LL Bean's quality control?

This jacket is not waterproof, so sadly it was returned. It fit great, beautiful colors, and was comfortable and light. It is not, however, waterproof in any way. My husband had the men's version which also was returned. We got absolutely soaked on our hikes, it was almost like the material absorbed the water and it seeped through to the inside. Even with shorter outings, like a 5 minute walk to our daughter's bus stop, we were both soaked through. He has since purchased the LL Bean H2OFF raincoat and so far so good with that one, the water beads right off.
