My first trail model rain jacket finally had issues with waterproofing due to the seam taping coming off. I replaced it with the same "model" and find that the roomy raglan sleeve of the first is now an inset sleeve that considerably narrows the possibilities of layering. It would also be wonderful for some manufacturer to see the light about the velcro on the front zipper opening which catches on fabric and causes thread pulling issues. All that said, it's probably the most efficient rain jacket on the market for the money. There's a hack for the velcro issue that I'm trying. I bought velcro and cut lengths of the loop side to put on the hook segments. Going to see if these stay stuck and eliminate the catching issue.

I just wish it were a little lighter and brighter green color because really
it should be a brighter color for walking on rainy days outside, when it's kind iof -- dark. Plus I like a brighter green a little better. But I like the jacket so am not
returning it, I'm keeping it.

Nice lightweight, waterproof jacket. Packs in its own pocket but packing flat in the bottom of your suitcase would reduce wrinkles.

I love your product but I dislike the color, you had a very limited selection

The jacket is much thinner and smaller than the LLBean rain jacket that I received as a gift many years ago. My older LLBean rain jacket is an XL Petite and fits nicely. I still wear it but it is showing some wear. The newer version is nice, but does not come in a larger petite size. The quality is not as good as the older rain jacket. I returned it.

I've been happily wearing my old Trail Model rain coat for 10 years, but this winter the waterproofing finally failed. I ordered a replacement in the same size as was on the label of the old one. I'm so disappointed that my new one is too small!
I loved that my rain coat came in plus sizes (unlike the other major outdoors brands) and had a hood adjuster that allowed it to fit over my bike helmet. I'm looking forward to the new one, I'm just a little bummed that I'll have to do an exchange first.

Good overall design. Runs a bit smaller than expected for a large when wearing over a lined flannel shirt. My main issue is it is very noisy as the fabric makes a crackling sound whenever I move which is very annoying.

It looks okay, it fits. I bought it for a future trip and I haven't worn it yet. I wanted something that would pack small.

I liked the fit and it worked well in the recent windy rainy day. I have been noticing later that the quality of your products are not as good as its been in the past. I am not only noticing it with your company but others as well.

Well made, but the sleeves were too long for me, tried rolling them up but didn't look right.

Runs a bit narrow through the shoulders and the sleeves are a bit short, but overall, good quality and a beautiful color!

This would be a great jacket if it weren't so snug and straight at the bottom and/or if it had a 2-way zipper. I keep hoping Bean will come out with something similar that allows more room for sitting down in it. Unfortunately, going shorter into a petite means the sleeves are too short for me.

I really like the rain jacket - mine is sky blue. However, the sleeves are waaaaay too long! They have a velcro closure, but when I close the cuffs with the velcro, it doesn't look very attractive. I have kept the jacket because I need it.

The jacket is great and fits fine, however I do not know what is going on with packaging shipping these days. The package looked like it had been trampled down a football field and jacket was crammed into package with receipt balled up at bottom. I am greatful it was not fragile..I do not know anymore if it is company r shipping company because both blame each other..holidays are coming, get better quality control.. =4 stars because of shipping

I bought this jacket in 2016 and it held up beautifully for 7 years before the lining started to flake off continuously. The rest of the coat is still in great shape so I'd say it's worth the purchase, even though I can't wear it anymore unless I want to look like I have dandruff.

Purchased this jacket in an XL, color: Lake. I love the color. The top of the jacket fit as expected. The waist/hips are a bit snugger than I would have liked--a little extra room would have been nice (maybe include a size for hip/waist so people know when ordering). I had hoped to be able to layer this jacket over a sweatshirt, but I don't think it will fit to do that. The sleeves are way too long. It would be nice if there were a way to fold back the cuffs and tighten them for those of us with short arms. Nevertheless, I plan to keep this jacket and pack it for my outings.

Two long inside unsecured pockets, one zippered chest pocket and two zippered hand pockets. I'm a pocket person so happy with design. Would prefer a little longer coverage but purchased for overall amenities.

...the problem is there are ZERO vents in this jacket. So even in 50 and 60-degree temps like I experienced on a trip to Scotland, at times it felt like I was wearing a plastic trash bag and it became very humid inside the jacket. This is a great jacket but its design flaw is that there are no air vents. Those could be included without jeopardizing the rain proof quality.

I am happy with the fit and faded orange color. I would prefer a soft cotton lining.
