Long enough to cover hips and feather light for travel.

I was looking for a waterproof top layer jacket. This is perfect. I did order a size larger as I find the LL Bean sleeves to be cut a bit small. I wanted to wear my LL Bean cashmere sweater under it. and it all fits! so comfy and folds up small for packing.

Bought this rain jacket because I was going on a cruise to Alaska and had noted that it was raining daily. Best jacket I could have had on the trip. Not only was it comfortable but it kept me warm and dry in the rain. Jacket has hood so I did not need to take an umbrella, leaving my hands free for other things. I was able to wear a short sleeved top and a vest and was still comfortable. I bought an extra large so I could possibly use this in the winter with a sweater underneath. Also because of the velcro tabs I did not have to worry about zipping the jacket closed. The velcro did its job by closing itself.

The Women's Trail Model Rain Jacket offers great rain and wind protection. This is my second purchase of the rain jacket. I've traveled with it on many trips and know its reliability.

I received a replacement (free!!) for a ten year old rain jacket whose lining had failed long ago. I have noticed the L.L.Bean guarantee, but I had never actually believed that a company would follow through on a promise such as this. I made a call, and the gracious customer service person assured me that L.L. Bean would love to send me a replacement, no matter that 10 years had passed. I am in florida, I thought maybe the heat was at fault. This model had proved problematic for others before, I was told. Having myself gained weight, I was also able to size up, and I have now received a lovely green rain jacket, with new upgrades. Xtra large Regular jacket, I am 5'5" and weigh 153 pounds. It provides total protection from water intrusion at neck and wrist, while remaining comfortable. 2 outside pockets and 2 mesh inside pockets look very convenient for long walks in the rain. Thanks, L.L.Bean, for showing me that integrity is still a staunch core value. Wishing you all many long walks in the rain.

I love the color and it fits beautifully! I agree with other reviews that a light lining would make it even better.

I love this. I travel a lot and while this might be for the trail, I take it to Seattle, NYC, Boston, Phila . . . wherever I am going on business. It packs up beautifully.

Great raincoat. Was a gift. Her other one wore out after many years. It got a hole in the armpit.

This XL Petite Trail Model rain jacket is lightweight, perfect fit (I'm 5'2" and weigh 155 lbs), has lots of pockets and zippers, nice rain hood. I would definately buy this again.

Great rain jacket, nice length and appears to be made very well

I bought this to replace an old Columbia rain jacket. This jacket is really well made with great pockets & zippers. The blue color is exact to online appearance.

This jacket fits well and is a must-have for travelers - it takes up virtually no space in a suitcase and is greatly adaptable to weather changes. I got the lavender color in L/Tall and love it! (This color was on back-order, but well-worth the short wait!),

I wore this jacket once in the rain so far. I was already a bit wet from the rain before I put it on, but it seemed to keep from getting more wet and it was not horribly uncomfortable when I did put it on.

Fits well. Hasn't been tested in a downpour yet, but appears identical to the old one I had that was very waterproof (and lasted at least 15 years).

My husband gave this to me for my birthday, I asked for a large because I'll be using it on a trip to Alaska so I needed room for a hoodie underneath, it should be perfect, light weight for packing

I love the fit and the feel. It's not stiff like a lot of rain gear. It has kept me dry in some pretty hard rainfall.

I have not yet worn this. It replaced an exact same old one on which the lining crumpled and peeled off. ON ANOTHER FRONT, on the day the offer ran out (July 9) about 9 pm I ordered a cotton v neck teal t shirt regular petite for which the price was $19.99 and for which there was free shipping. And then LLBean said there was a technical problem, try again. Nothing happened, except that each time I tried again it added the same shirt to my shopping bag. That is why I did not buy it. I think that LLBean owes me the shirt (I am a loyal customer of 50 years) since the error was LLBean's

I just received this rain jacket last week; as of today it has not rained. BUT I do like the color, I purchased Dusty Periwinkle. Size is Medium Petite. I tried it on, and the fit is good.

This is my second Trail Model Rain Jacket. I also have a pair of the Trail Model Rain Pants. They keep me dry when I walk my dog or hike in the rain. And the jacket is light-weight and packs easily. I can just roll it up and stuff it in a corner of my bag. It's durable too. My previous jacket was black. I decided to add some color this time and the Clover color is perky on a rainy day without being too bright.

I purchased the LLBean rain jacket 21 years ago, and I wear it all the time. The tag info has faded, but the jacket still does it job. I thought I deserved a treat this year, so I bought this new version and it does not disappoint! Thank you, LLBean for your consistently fine clothing.
