I had one of these many moons ago and loved it for many years till I wore it out! I'm excited to replace an old favorite!

This is heavier than a wind breaker but lighter than my old Bean anorak which I can wear in below-freezing conditions. This is perfect for a fall walk or hike. The colors are very attractive, an added bonus. When I first wore it a couple of weeks ago, walking around the neighborhood, I encountered another woman with exactly the same one--we agreed we had excellent taste!

I already own a navy blue L.L. Bean anorak, but I liked the color assortment on this particular anorak! Very comfortable and lightweight.

Went to your flagship outlet in Freeport ME. With my wife. She fell in love with this coat the second she laid her eyes on it. I offered to buy it for her as a Christmas present. She was very happy, a little too much I might add. Before we got back home to Connecticut she talked me into giving it to her sooner. Some things are better kept secret. Been a month now and she loves it more every day.

This is my first anorak and I like it a lot. The natural/mineral blue colors are absolutely gorgeous, and I like the patterned ribbon trim and the boot lace zipper pulls. The fabric is very smooth and feels so nice. The two pockets are great, open kangaroo for your hands or gloves and a secure zip pocket on the front. The hood and hem adjust with drawstrings. I usually prefer logos on the hem rather than the chest, but this one's not overpowering and is okay. It is slightly fitted but not clingy. I'd say this runs true to size but with only enough room for a light layer underneath. For a bulky sweater I might size up. The length is good, but even in petite the sleeves are a little long on me but that's not unusual for me. The hood fits well, unlike some hoods. Before I washed it I poured a little water on it for a few seconds and it shed the water. I've worn it once and it did add some warmth and wind resistance, and looked good. The zipper is long enough to make it easy to put on.
Before I wore it I washed and dried it on cool perma-press and delicate dry cycles, and it came out looking like new with no wrinkles at all. I had also slipped the zipper pull laces off before I washed it so they wouldn't come untied. The ones on the hood that I couldn't remove came through the wash just fine, so next time I'll probably leave the others on, too. I tested the water resistance for a few seconds again, and while it did shed water, it didn't seem to run off quite as well as before. The fabric wasn't wet but I think it might have been if I'd done it longer. I'm not sure how water resistant it actually is in use, as water does not bead on it at all. If you want something with good water resistance this might not be the one, although it does have at least a little. I didn't buy it for that specific use so I'm pleased with it, just for casual wear, around town, for taking walks in mild weather, and for travel. I haven't tried packing it in its own pocket yet, but that's a bonus travel feature. Almost ideal as a light top or layer and a solid 5 stars, perhaps unless you want a rain jacket.

It's one of those things that's either perfect exactly as it is or could use a lot of changes to make it something completely different. I see a lot of "I wish it had more" in the comments. For me, it was just right in it's simplicity and I ordered a second one. Colors are gorgeous, by the way.

Love, love this jacket. Just the right weight to block out a breeze but lightweight enough to bring and wear on those season-changing days.

This coat is very well made and the material is soft yet water resistant. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort as it doesn't feel sticky like some rain coats. I can wear it all day both in and out of doors. In fact, I ended up ordering it in another color as well! Sizing is accurate. I wear a 2x but purchased a 3x and it's plenty roomie and long. I have a long torso and this is just right in length.

Lightweight outer layer. Comfortable and colorful. Great for that last outer layer over a fleece or sweater.

I love my anoraks! I ordered one in XL and one in the beige/tan color in L. For XL I'll wear sweaters underneath, L for lighter layering. For reference I'm 5'9" 170 lbs. Arm length was great as well. The L is a perfect fit for me, if you prefer a less loose fit the XL was really roomy! You can't go wrong with this buying one of these anoraks!

Wore it on a rainy day biking in Ketchican. Came out dry, and got compliments on the colors. Fits true to size. It is lighter than I expected, but worked out well.
