Soft, comfortable, warm, well made. I bought this specifically to carry in my golf bag to wear when the sun drops below the mountains and the temperature goes with it. This jacket is perfect.

Comfortable enough to wear inside or out. I originally purchased this as a curling jacket for times when I had to skip, but it's a great all-purpose jacket. It's probably not up for -20 degree temperature, but anything above freezing and it's great.

Purchased this for my stepfather who recently started chemo. He needed something somewhat light but also warm. He said this jacket is perfect. It's well constructed and no doubt it will sustain the packing back & forth. He loves it.

Wow. Initially I purchase this sweater fleece/windproof fleece jacket as a layer underneath a winter parka. But for me, this is just as good as a winter jacket in NYC. Today the weather was around 30 degrees with a wind chill. I was wearing a thin thermal only, and then put this LL Bean windproof fleece jacket over the thermal. I was PERFECTLY warm in my upper body. My hands and legs felt cold because they were not properly covered, but I felt great up top. Even though it was a fairly windy day, the wind did not penetrate through this fleece jacket. This is what I've been looking for this whole time without me even knowing it. I hate to wear parkas, or boots, or anything heavy for that matter. I prefer to dress as lightly as possible with minimal layers if possible. This jacket is the perfect addition for my lifestyle and dress style. When I go to work, I put on this fleece jacket. When I got to the gym, again I put on this fleece jacket. If I need to go outside to get something quick, this fleece jacket. Go for a walk outside in a slight chill with temperatures around 30 degrees? This fleece jacket. In fact I would say this is the perfect fleece jacket for NYC. Good enough to keep you warm in the morning in 30 degree weather, and light enough to keep wearing in the afternoon when it hits 55 degrees to 60 degrees. Great for fall, great for winter, great for spring, good for summer. I also wasn't sure at first, but now I also love the design of the jacket. The little square composition all throughout adds a nice touch in my opinion. Helps to differentiate against other fleece jackets. If LL Bean had slightly better marketing, or a celebrity wore this fleece jacket, it would be just as popular as the classic better sweater from the famous brand. This jacket easily has the potential to be #1 in the market, and really should be worn by more people. That's the praise I'm giving this fleece jacket. Easily the best option out there for many people. Would recommend this one over the 1/4 zip fleece style. The material is slightly rigid, so you want the full zip option to combat the rigidity. Buy this 100% and see how it works for you.

Exceptional wind protection from a fleece jacket, I'm impressed. The only improvement would be to have inside pockets like the old style.

The Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece was exactly what I was looking for. The jacket is medium weight so it has a lot of flexibility, either by itself or over a sweater. The windproof lining really works and doesn't make the jacket too stiff. The only challenge is the sizing, as it does run a bit big, maybe a half size, but that makes it easier to layer. The downside is that the cuffs are not banded, so they hang low (and I have long arms). All in all, I really like the jacket and if the sleeve cuffs were a bit tighter I'd go 7 stars out of 5!

I love this fleece jacket. I wore it on a cold, windy night with just a t-shirt underneath it and I was perfectly warm. The wind did not bother me at all. I would love a HOODED version, though!

This jacket is awesome. It is "light" enough to wear inside without overheating. BUT it is so good for cold winds outside. It keeps me warm as if it's a down feather coat. It fits perfectly for me (5'9" woman). It's soft and cozy. I have two dogs, and it doesn't attract dog hair like some other reviews suggest. It's my favorite jacket. I got the cream white and blue version.

6 foot 2 and 220 lbs. The XL is a bit big and somewhat baggy. Does block wind, but attracts dog hair like a magnet. I would recommend this product. Great value for the money.

The quality is spot on and stands up to the weather like it claims.
