I use it as a windbreaker on the boat. Fits good and does the job. My last one wore out around the shoulders after five years.

Just what my husband was looking for. Very pack able, well fitting and keeps him dry. We appreciate the extended sizes too.

I love my old LL Bean GoreTex Model 0 AKM6 GoreTex Rain jacket and it and a down jacket are my go anywhere travel clothing tucked into an outside pocket of my suitcase. However, this new trail model rain jacket does hold a candle to it. While lightweight and probably good for backpackers, it's lack of an inner lining in the sleeves makes far less comfortable as an all purpose wind/rain/whatever travel jacket. Please bring back the old one with lined sleeves

Good item, but price is a bit steep for what is essentially a nylon shell. Should include a diagram for people who don't know how to fold it into its own pouch. I've had a couple of these, and have no complaints about quality or performance.

Good value for the money. Does the job without the bulk. Also a good windbreaker.

Good quality material, as expected from LLBean. The only negative is the velcro on the zipper line. It is annoying because it doesn't let you pull up the zipper.

Style, fit & color were just as advertised. But the hood is always open and needs to have a method for tucking away when not in use.

Overall, a good, light, rainproof jacket; however the velcro strips adjacent to the sipper are a pain.

Well made and is as advertised but runs small. When I looked at the label it read that it was made in China so that explained the sizing issue. Had to return & order in the next size up. Suggest customers do the same - especially if you're planning to put warmer clothing underneath.

I have a LL Bean, Men's Trail Model Rain jacket. It is flaking the inner white lining only around the collar section of the jacket. I have attached a picture of this section. The jacket has been worn lightly and with care and has not been mistreated in any way. If have noticed on the online reviews of this jacket that other individuals have also experienced this issue. Can you please let me know if there is any kind of resolution for this matter?

I cannot rate it yet, because I used it only once in light rain where it allowed no water to penetrate and was comfortable. I need to test it in a heavy rain. So ask me againin the future

Overall, a great jacket. Sizing and comfort is good (I selected XLarge to allow a little extra room for layering over a sweater or sports jacket). The jacket is very light and packable - all good features for a warm weather rain jacket Pockets are conveniently located, and from a style standpoint, it looks good. One critique: a lack of light, neutral colors such as light beige or khaki to choose from. I selected graphite, which is sort of a dingy gray, about as close to light and neutral as possible. Orange would be too loud, and the other choices are too dark. I deducted one star because of this.

A good raincoat for those days that you want to keep dry.

Very good lightweight rain jacket. It is a little too small around the lower edge. A double-pull zipper would make it more comfortable when, for example, getting into a car.

My one complaint is that the fabric of the jacket is somewhat rubbery. That is, it feels more as though it was made of a rubber substance than a cloth. Otherwise, fine.

Fits well. Lighter than expected, but have not tested it in the cold yet.

just received my rain jacket in xl large. It's light weight and will work okay but the sizing is off from other LL Bean jackets and clothing I have purchased. The arms are shorter and smaller than I had figured on. My ll bear shirt size will normally run large on a traditional fit so I ordered the XL. Body seems okay, sleeves not so much. The sleeves would be a tight fit if wearing a heavier shirt (flannel, sweatshirt or sweater). Sending back to exchange for xl tall.

This jacket works well except for one minor point. If only Toney had made the zipper the next larger size. I find I have to fiddle with it a lot to get it lined up and started. Otherwise, it breathes well but remains waterproof and can easily be layered if extra warmth is needed.

This is a great jacket! I bought one specifically for a trip to Disney World. It rolled up and fit in the Stowaway Plus Pack, a great park bag by the way, and had tons of room to spare. The jacket kept me dry when I needed it BUT . . . I wish there were zippers/venting in the under arm (arm pit) areas. I'm a bigger guy buying mostly 3XL and 3XL Tall clothing. This big guy gets hot and sweats very easily and some air cooling would go a long way for me. PIT ZIPS PLEASE

Does what it should for a compact, easy to add to your carry-on, garment. Zero insulation, so consider what layers you might need if packing for a colder climate. Pockets are a nice feature; most useful!

My only problem with this jacket is the hood which hangs into my view. I have tried to adjust the cord for the hood to tighten it up but it hasn't seemed to fix the problem,

My husband really likes this rain jacket--all of it fits well for the XL (although the hood is a bit big), the navy color is perfect, and he is looking forward to wearing it. The only off putting thing is the "packing it away" in the lower left-hand pocket. Not easy to figure out at first, then once we did, I managed to stuff it in there, and it did fit, finally! Only problem is then the jacket gets pretty wrinkled. Not a huge deal. I would have given this a 5 rating, but had to settle for a 4 due to how tricky it is to pack away.
