"This is a Christmas present, so my husband does not actually have it yet. However, he has another Rugged Ridge Parka that is sadly showing the signs of wear. It is at least twenty years old. He loves this jacket and wears it while "snowblowing" the driveway. We live in Maine, so it can be very cold in the winter.

Bring back red and black jacket.

This is my second purchase of the same coat. I went to the LL Bean store and looked for something that will keep me warm but not too bulky. After trying on several coats, I came across the Rugged Ridge Parka. It was just what I was looking for. When I looked at its item number, I realized it was the SAME coat that I bought about 10 years previously! That coat was great but started to show its wear (after 10 years I have no complaints!). The look had changed slightly but I do like that LL Bean has improved on making it much more water-proof than the previous. Looking forward to another 10 years with this parka!

Warm Considering How Light It Is, Good Zipper Once You Learn To Start It By Inserting The End All The Way Through Both Handles While Holding The Two Zipper Handles Together And All The Way Down At The Bottom Of The Zipper. Good Velcro.

I like the coat. It is a plastic zipper which I would have expected a better one for a 200 dollar coat.

I've found the fit, material, design and quality all just perfect for my needs and comfort. If something happened to this coat, I'd buy another one in a minute!

Bought this for my hubby...Warm, comfortable and well made. Wearing it in MT weather and it stands up to the extreme cold.

I have owned this jacket 6 years and its now time for a replacement. I am buying the same jacket again but in a different color. I find this is lighter in weight, thinner but excellent warmth better than some heavier coats I have owned. Its worn daily over much of the year and have worn it in sub-zero temperatures. Despite it being 6 years old it still has kept its thermal value. Can hardly wait to get the new one!

This is the second coat of this style. After 10 years I replaced the coat as I had caught it on a sharp object and tore the coat. Very durable and warm. I highly recommend this coat. Plenty of pockets and ability to cinch down the hood and jacket to conform to individual body types.

A jacket that keeps you warm but is not puffy or still with thick amounts of insulation. Has kept my dry during all forms of precipitation. Plenty of pockets for phone, gloves, hat and mask.

This winter jacket absolutely hits the sweet spot! Two-way zipper makes it a snap to adjust for standing, sitting, shoveling - whatever! Hood adjusts so you can form fit it so the visor doesn't slide down in front of your eyes. Great warmth. Great for the price! An LL Bean keeper!

This jacket is well insulated and has kept me warm on very cold days. Fits well ....zippers easily....velcro attachments are good for a quick closure.

I ordered a large as I'm usually a L/XL, but it was too big so I exchanged for a medium that fits great. This jacket is very warm, keeps you very dry, and has great storage. I highly recommend it.

This has to be the warmest coat I have ever owned from LL Bean. In Maine winters, I only ever have to wear a t-shirt underneath my jacket and I am sweating after snow blowing and shoveling the driveway. Any additional layers and it would be too hot for me. I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a new winter coat.

I rarely order coats and jackets on line. This product was exactly what I needed; it is light enough not to be burden but heavy enough for cold days (10F). I can wear a sweater or vest underneath. There are a variety of products; the hood detaches. It has served the various winter conditions of snow, sleet, freezing rain and just cold days as it should.

This coat arrived concurrent with a Polar Vortex and I am happy to report the coat won. It is the warmest coat I have ever had -- even warmer than a much older L. L.Bean down jacket I have had for years. The down jacket isn't nearly as long and the new coat adds the extra benefit of protection below the waist.

Jacket is excellent in cold ... very warm while staying comfortable.

This was the perfect selection. Thanks to LL Bean's Customer Service Team all the details came out perfectly. Detachable Hood, Wind Sleeve and durability were all on the list. Already has seen a lot of use!

Love this coat! Nicely styled. Lightweight, but extremely warm. Zipper and Velcro enclosures keep the air out. Lows here will go to 0 degrees. Very happy with my purchase.

Besides getting delivery on the wrong color combination which ended up actually being a better look so I kept it, it is also a great fit, with adjusting straps at the thigh and waist and velcro at the wrists. Plenty of pockets although I do wish the the outter chest pocket was was a bit wider and deeper. It is very warm and on nights in the teens I found that this along with a heavy shirt is enough to keep warm with plenty of flexibility for movement. It's durable and washable. It also has a detachable hood which I choose to remove. The coat I replaced was an LLB and very similar and I had it for about 10 years! I expect no less from this great parka!

This jacket is light, warm and comfortable. I have a tough time finding coats that fit right. Although I am not overly big or tall I have very broad shoulders and need to buy xxl just so I can put the coat on. This jacket with it relaxed fit and the ability to cinch the middle snug makes for a customizable fit. I was out all day wearing a long sleeve tee shirt under it and stayed comfortable in 20 degree weather. Has not been any colder than that yet but I think I will be fine wearing it.

This is a very warm coat. It has plenty of pockets.

Love this new parka my wife gave me as a Christmas present. Fits great and it is extremely comfortable. Plenty of pockets for gloves, cap & cell phone.

Don't bother scrolling to look at other jacket. This is literally the warmest and most comfortable jacket I've ever owned. I bought it as a 2020 Christmas present for myself. We've had many high 20s-30s degree days and this jacket keeps me warm. Even when it's windy. The jacket is light and not bulky. Plenty of pockets. The good is insulated and keeps my head warm when my hat alone doesn't do it. I'm comfortable at the dog park for over an hour. I wish they made a pant version of the jacket.
