Quality jacket from to replace the one purchased over 20 years ago.

Overall, a nice jacket. There are a couple of areas that lead me to downgrade this review. This was ordered in size Large/Tall. I'm about 6'1" and the length of the jacket is just too long; it comes down just past my hips and bunches up a bit. Also the material of the shell makes a crackly sound when its moved or flexed. Perhaps this will soften up with wear or it may be a characteristic of the material itself. I have a windbreaker from another vendor that has the same problem. Both are nice jackets but I don't like the texture and stiffness of the shell material. Otherwise, the jacket is warm and comfortable and the sleeves are the right length for me -- which is why I buy Tall sizes.

I like the jacket in terms of fit. The only issue is that it's not as warm as I thought it would be. If you're already wearing a few layers underneath, then you'll like it. The building I work in is wayyy too hot in Winter, so I need to find a jacket in which I could be shirtless underneath, and still be just as warm when outdoors.

I live in Upstate NY and we are used to cold temperatures and generally inclement weather in the late fall and winter. This will be my new fall/winter jacket for outside chores around the house, walking the dog and running errands in mild temperatures in the thirties and forties. I have down for colder temps. Easy to get on and off with soft cuffs and collar, it is comfortable to wear. Even with a short sleeved shirt under the jacket, I can feel warm and protected in cool air. And, it is good to know that it is rain proof in case I need to go out in the rain. I usually wear large (5'10" at 180#), but either the large or medium worked for me. I chose the large to have the option of bulky sweaters underneath, which works well. Lots of room in there!

Nice mid weight jacket for casual wear. Fits well. Seems well made.

After about 20 years, my original L.L. Bean Warm-Up jacket fell apart...the plastic zipper was missing teeth. So, I ordered the same jacket, still in their line-up. The jacket is a bit over-sized and shell is somewhat crinkly. Inside pocket has moved and will no longer hold my wallet. But over-all...I am very pleased with the jacket!! Great for winters here...able to layer comfortably.

6'3" 220 lbs. xl tall is a good fit. Satisfied with this purchase

Great jacket. 4 stars only because color is moss green and no khaki. Color shown is inaccurate, but not a deal breaker. Inside pocket location is awkward and a bit small but it works and its convenient. Cuffs and waistband do their job well. Jacket is definitely rain and wind proof. My med. jacket is just the right size yet still has enough room if i need to add another layer inside. Complaints about noisy material are true but are over exaggerated, i think. Not quite sure about zipper durability. Time will tell. I would buy this jacket again and recommend it.

It's somewhere between a 3 and a 4. It's not as good a quality as it used to be. Fabric is a little bit more stiffer and the cut is a little more skimpier. Otherwise I wouldn't have returned it.

Nice jacket, comfortable but could use an inside chest pocket,

I have had the jacket tor about 2 years and the cuffs are now frayed. It seems that the stitching did not catch the outer side of the cuff. The knitted waist band is like NEW. Disappointed with the cuff problem.

Well constructed and comfortable Haven't had a chance to see how it is in cold weather. I would buy it again.

My husband has worn this same LL Bean jacket for years and recently decided to get a new one. It is still good quality, however, the new version is 2 inches longer and was too long on his 5'6" frame. This would work better on someone at least 5'10". The previous version was just the right length for him. He also purchased the Moss Khaki which turned out to be much darker than it appears in the catalog and on the website. It is actually a very dark olive green, almost forest green. He returned it since both the size and the color did not work out for him.

Good jacket, my second one, first was wearing out, so ordered this one. It's not great, but for the price is a good jacket.

Nice, warm. Sleeves have cuffs, which I don't prefer.

Very nice jacket I have been wearing it on the cold mornings we have been having.It's nice and warm good for walking my dog. I just hope the cuffs hold up on this jacket I have some in years past that didn't.

Nice jacket. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it seems just slightly less warm that the same jacket I bought 5 years ago from Bean. Maybe a little less fill. But I really like the jacket. Fits comfortably, looks nice, and it is warm even on cold windy days in winter.

A bit more "jacket" than I expected. I was expecting more of what I call a "shell"!

This makes my fourth warm up jacket. I thought I was buying a more tan jacket but turns out its more green.. Oh well , can't always get what you want.

Got the blue in large. It fit like a tent, and I returned it. Bought the medium in rust orange. It fits perfectly, and in the two weeks I've been wearing it, seems well made. It is warm enough for late fall. Not enough room to comfortably wear a sweater or vest underneath - it would be a little snug. I like everything about it except it needs more, and larger interior pockets. The shell is fine. I don't agree with reviewers complaining about it.
