I started with a medium (I usually wear a size 8) but exchanged it for a large, which allows for an under layer. I am wearing it in New England, early spring, in the 40's and damp. Jacket is nice and warm but not too warm or too heavy. It would probably not be warm enough for real winter, at least not here where the temperature is often between 0 and 10 degrees F. I have a Marmot Montreal coat for that weather. I tried both the North Face and the Patagonia. North Face was a little too short in the waist. Patagonia lighter than I wanted (it would make a great winter under layer).

It looks like a down jacket but it's not. This is a great down alternative, and I am amazed at how warm it has kept me on the cold mornings and evenings in the area.

Very warm and light weight! Nice length. Love that the sleeves and body are not too long and not too short. I have a tendency to order a size up but i think I could have also gone my regular size on this jacket.

My women's marmot jacket is so warm! It keeps the warmth in and the cool out, it even works well while raining!

LOVE this new jacket purchases in olive. SUPER soft, light weight now heavy but great for travel on the plane. Only request would be to add a zipper on the chest for quick retrieval of glasses or lipgloss

So light weight but so warm and cozy. This is jacket you can take anywhere and be covered. The quality is so good you know this is an item you have for years.

This jacket is so lightweight and warm. I purchased it as a layering piece in the winter and as a snuggly coat for the spring and fall. The light blue color is more periwinkle, which is my favorite color. In the few weeks I've worn the coat I've had so many compliments on the color and fit. I'm 5'9" and purchased a medium.

Bought this jacket for winter running, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Very warm, even below freezing, comfortable, easy range of motion. True to size.

Great little jacket. Does not over heat, but keeps one comfortable in mid weather.

The Echo Featherless Jacket met my needs for a jacket that would be good for 20 to 40 degree weather in New England. The small (my usual size) has enough room to fit a sweater underneath, and the hood is big enough to fit a hat underneath but doesn't block my view. I like the quality and comfort, but on me it would look better if it didn't flair out as much at the hips.

It took me a while to get the right jacket. I tried this first in a medium (I wear an 8 usually) and it was comfortable but no room for anything under it. Since I live in chilly New England, I exchanged it for a large. Perfect. I also tried the North Face (I loved on that I lost in an airport last month), but it wasn't as nice as they one I lost. The Patagonia lightweight jacket (forget the term) , from REI, not available on Zappos -- it was lighter than this, possibly just as warm, but the Marmot over all seemed to better fit my needs. Picture seems accurate in terms of color and fit. Mine sits a little lower on the hips -- I'm 5/7.

I really like this jacket, which I bought to replace another Marmot jacket that I had worn for several years and decided to donate. It is warm and light and perfect for Bay Area winters.

Comfy and stylish but the fabric piled too quickly even after the first time I wore it.

This jacket is a good option for fall and winter (with layering). It strikes a nice balance between warm and still lightweight. I'm usually between a small and medium, so I ordered a medium and feel at times like it's slightly tight on my shoulders. So if you have broader shoulders, I'd say order a size up and you'll be good!
