Nice shoes. I'm going to look for a liner with more of an arch support and more spring.

Color disappointment again. So badly want Merrill to add more bold fun colors to boots and trail runners.

I bought this because I loved the MQM Flex 2 which has been discontinued. This shoe just doesn't compare favorably to that one. The tongue is stiffer and longer than the flex, and the flex had an arch strap that allowed the laces to adjust while you moved. The tongue on the MQM 3 also has an awkward inner seam that rubbed the very first time I tried them on. These are just not for me. I am returning them. They are not the same quality as the shoe I loved.

I ended up sending these back. The arch was not comfortable. I ordered a different style - the Antora, and they are fabulous. Immediately comfortable.

I purchased these at half price earlier this year for use in the spring. My job requires walking 20 kms daily on different terrains and in all kinds of weather, so I need durable shoes that can take moderate abuse. That's why I chose Merrell. After only 1 month (4 work weeks!) of use, I have had several problems. For one, once the soles got wet, which was pretty much immediately, they no longer adhered to the shoe. They began to bunch up and slip, and I had to replace them. Secondly, there is already a rip in the material on the top of the left shoe, near the baby toe area. This is simply from the shoe getting wet and dried repeatedly, wear and tear. I expected a lot more from Merrell. I have been doing this same work for over 20 years, and have been though many pairs of shoes, many different brands. None have deteriorated as quickly as these MQM 3s did. I was expecting at least 3 months of good use. Although they are very comfortable and light, they are too fragile. Not sure if I got a bad batch or something as most of the reviews are good, but not sure I will take the chance on Merrells again, especially since they aren't cheap!
