Ok shoe not as comfortable as I expected. I should have done little more research.

These shoes are super cushy and nice and light for hiking. What I don't like about them, though, is that the tongue isn't wide enough to tuck under the top of the shoe, so there's a gap between it and the body of the shoe. Rather annoying.

Comfortable but the shoestrings won't stay tied and they are so short that they are difficult to double tie.

I have been buying the waterproof Bravada for the past 5 years. They became unavailable for 1 1/2 years during the pandemic and I was happy to see them back on the site. But having received the new pair, I have noticed a difference in design. There is no longer a waterproof toe cap and there are lumps under the tongue where it is attached to the rest of the shoe. The older shoes were smooth. The lump has caused blisters on long hikes. Other than that they have remained waterproof for trail hiking this winter during the rains. They fit true to size.

Pretty stylish for waterproof trail runners. I was looking forward to wearing these on the trail and around town while on vacation. Unfortunately, I found the toe box was narrow. I could anticipate rubbing on my pinky toes developing into blisters, which is a deal breaker. Had to return. I don't really have wide feet, as I've never had to buy a wide foot shoe. I've worn the Merrell Moab hiking shoe and Merrell Antora trail runners, both with no toes issues. This one seems to run a bit narrow.

I am wearing a pair of Merrell boots right now, but the Bravada just doesn't have the toe room I need even with the insole removed so I am sending them back. Hopefully I find a pair that works!

These run a bit small and the instep is not very tall. Otherwise they have a lot of cushion and are very comfortable.

Unfortunatley this is not a wide width as advertised.

I got these shoes less than a year ago. In that time, they have only been used as my wet weather shoes. On wetter days, I put about a mile on them walking my kids to and from school (the school is roughly 0.25 mile from us). This morning, my kids wanted to walk through a grassy area on the way there. I didn't think anything of it as I'd expected my "waterproof" shoes to handle some wet grass just fine. I was mistaken.
There wasn't any standing water/puddles anywhere, no extra soft muddy areas, nothing. Just wet grass. My feet got wet. Not from water ingress from over the ankles, no. My ankles were actually pretty dry. My toes were wet, the one place where I would expect waterproof shoes to prevent water intrusion.
For anyone thinking about getting these... don't do it for the "waterproof" feature. They are NOT waterproof. They literally are just as waterproof as some open toed sandals. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because they're comfortable... when they are dry.
It seems the quality of Merrell shoes has really declined over the past few years. My family and I have been loyal Merrell customers for many years but maybe it is time we moved on.

Although the shoe is good quality and comfortable, IT IS NOT WATERPROOF! I bought it specifically for that reason. It even has it embroidered on the outside of the shoe "waterproof." I don't know if the manufacturer messed up or it's false advertising. We hike in foothills near our home, and sometimes the grasses hang over the trail, and if it has rained or there is a lot of dew, we come back with soaking wet feet! Not fun, especially when I paid for waterproof shoes. They don't even begin to measure up.

Disappointed-I loved the first pair I bought and wore for 2 years, replaced with the new version and they have not maintained the waterproof nature and are not as comfortable.

Once I put my orthotics in, they were just a touch small. But the dealbreaker was where the rubber dug into my heel at an awkward angle. I have narrow heels, and they were very uncomfortable to walk in.

A nice looking shoe but...no cushion, runs narrow and material overall is hard. Merrill use to be much better then this!

Love the look but a full size too small. The padding is too heavy through the toe box.

Odd shaped shoe. Very narrow. Insole is hard. Merrell in the past has been good but seems to have changed quality. Returning.

Cute shoes and waterproof, but not really wife width and they run pretty small. I also tried to contact Merrell to return them and they never got back to me after several attempts. I spend a lot of money on Merrell shoes, so it would be nice to return ones that don't work for me.

Needed waterproof shoes for work. They are waterproof, but have no support in shoe. Do not recommend for long periods of wear. I always buy wide width, these were not very wide & stretched out on the side & ripped away from sole within a month

Although these shoes LOOK great and FIT well, there is a manufacturing flaw at the ankle/heel that creates a rough seam that causes pain and blisters.
I wish these worked out better than they did- nice looking shoes- just not worth the suffering.

Not the best fit or quality. Seems were ripping as I tried to tie them and tighten the laces. The heels kept slipping off. Too much cushion. Returned right away.

I'm fond of Merrels and have two pairs of Brevada2 s. One (teal and purple) has a longer tongue than the other, which is 2 tone grey and may not be waterproof. The longer tongued pair is rugged and comfortable though they were very stiff at first. I liked the older, true tongued style and am not fond of the newer abbreviated style. The grey pair I have to trash, having worn them enough to make them unreturnable. Seem to be OK on a level path but rub uncomfortably on trails.

I bought this to replace an older pair of this same style. This new style is very different and not comfortable. For starters, the number and quality of eyelets does not allow for a snug fit to tie, and #2: what happened to the sole? I felt like it was a rocker type sole and very uncomfortable. I tried walking with these inside to get used to the fit but ended up returning. I did like the new color choices and that warranted a 1-star rating.
