I have 2 pairs of the Moab 2s from years ago. I wore them out. I bought the Moab 3 in the same size - 9.5. They don't fit at all - too wide, too long, and just too big everywhere. I ordered a size 9 to compare - the 9 was too short, but the width was good. They are still beautiful and very lightweight, and the support was good, but I had to send them both back. Just not the fit I was used too.

The toe area was tight. I'm keeping the 9.5 wide shoe. It was a better fit.

I normally wear a wide but the wide Moab was just too wide and I couldn’t get a good lock down at the heel. I returned and am not sure if I’ll try the standard width as it wasn’t super comfortable anyway.

I have 2 pairs from before in size 10 ( 28cm) J037749. They are almost perfect, but they could be wider. Therefore I ordered this Wide version of the same size. However, the insole is not 28cm anymore but 28,7 so someting like a 10,5 or even a 11. Then its far to long for me. Tried to communicate with Merrell Europe, but they did not care. I'm just wondering whats happening. On noth there is number 10 on the insole. Now I have to send these back and try to order 9 or 9.5. But then I'm not sure if they are going to be wider than the normal size 10. Arghhhh.
I'm just wondering if the whole "Wide" model is a scam, and its only one normal size bigger....

Shoe was fine, lots of experience with Merrell so order 2 pair. The shoelaces do not stay tied at all (even double-knotted) and now will need to spend time and $ to find an alternative. Returning pair I hadn’t worn yet and wish I wasn’t stuck with pair I am. Didn’t tie them when I walked in house to test fit - live and learn,

I bought these to replace my Merrell hikers which were wearing down after years of 2-3 mile walks. These looked exactly the same but the sizing was now US, not European. I walked an hour and found them stiff and uncomfortable. The 2nd time I got blisters. The 3rd time my back and feet hurt from how stiff they were. I went back to my old shoes. I don't remember having to break in my old Merrells. These are too painful to keep. I wish Merrell would take them back.

Both myself and my mother have issues with our feet and have been buying these for the last couple years, they were the best. We both bought another pair for Christmas and the soles are not the same quality as all the others we had, not sure what has changed but definitely won't be buying again

Doesn't fit the same as the Moab 2. Very disappointed that they changed the fitincreased the height of the sides so the shoe rubbed on my ankle bone (lateral malleolus). Will be returning them. I ended up buying a new pair of Moab 2 and they fit perfectly cause they haven't changed them!

This shoe definitely ran a half-size small for me. I usually wear 8-1/2 and ended up returning for a size 9. My daughter liked mine so much she wanted her own pair, and she had the same experience. Ordered her usual size 8 and had to return for 8-1/2. Very comfortable shoe and the sole is very "grippy".

I didn’t want to take them off! So comfortable and so cute! I wish they were waterproof but I will buy a second pair in the waterproof style.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell is my go-to but I also wear Ecco.

I have really bad bunions so even though my true size is 8.5, I often have to go 1/2 size up. That was the case with these shoes, so there is a bit of room in the toes but the width is perfect for my bunions. I broke them in with a 12 mile hike/2500' elevation and they felt AMAZING!! Very light weight, too. I did have some pain in the bunions on the way down, but that's to be expected with my horrible feet -- don't blame the shoes at all. I haven't tested water-proof yet but the hike went so well I don't care! I'm am now feeling prepped and confident for my upcoming Half Dome hike in Yosemite!

These are a step up from Nike non-performance sneakers for me. Meant for light hiking but I'm wearing them for every day because of the generous toe box (round toe in the description) and nice support. The lacing and ties are not over-complicated and tongue and heel padding feels just right. The hiking-type sole is more substantial than I'm used to but is level and gives nice ground contact. No squishy, foam padding to go flat. This is a popular shoe for good reason.

Tried on many hiking shoes and this was the best of the bunch. Fit was perfect for my wide feet and high arches. They're really comfortable when I go on hikes, in any kind of terrain, rocky, dirt paths, etc. I might even get another pair as a backup.

I returned this pair because they were a 1/2 size too big. I think the Moab 3 runs big. They’re a great shoe but just too large. I ordered a size 5 which was a perfect fit. I wear orthotics so I can’t comment on the arch support.
